I was very happy at Happy Seven hostel! We decided to book this place based on the funky decor. It's in a great location, only a few minutes away from the big attractions of Gdansk and a short walk to the bus and train stations. You can take a lovely walk along the river from the hostel to the main streets and it's a very safe area. Our favorite part was the wonderful manager and staff who run this hostel. Every single recommendation they gave turned out to be incredible. They were friendly, patient and very warm people that we'd love to see again. We stayed in a private room in their facility across the street, which was very spacious and quiet. The bathrooms were very clean and the shower water was hot. The main common room is a great place to meet other people and they provide cushions and blankets if you just want to stay in and watch a movie. (The wi-fi doesn't reach into most of the rooms, so you may be spending a lot of time out in the common room.) We stayed for a total of six nights and would ABSOLUTELY come back to Happy Seven again. read more

We enjoyed a nice stay at Happy 7, I would personally recommend you opt for the deluxe rooms in the nearby sister building over the road. More like a hotel than a hostel, no complaints, great facilities representing value for money. We had an ensuite, room but the shared bathrooms were the same, just outside of the room! Staff are great too, only breakfast lets this place now, not a great selection but there's plenty of good places to eat in Gdansk. Location wise, I totally agree with the review below, in a quiet street, perfect location! Main area nearby and too noisy for accommodation in my view so this was perfect. read more
