Claimed she had no idea or possible way to go into the CRA and see what money was still owing on the account and she was doing taxes for this is completely erroneous statement obviously- I've been at H&R Block and she was able to look up what money owing, etc., taxes for a few years and work it all out . no problem whatsoever.. she did everything easily. Andrew The manager running this firm is extremely rude and disrespectful. My mother had been going her for the last 10 years as a regular customer. I had called in for my mother as she was involved in a horrific accident. She had informed the firm that I would be calling in. I had made a simple request to have sent something over to my email address of behalf of my mother. Andrew had deliberately hung up the phone on me and told me to tell my mother to take her business elsewhere. This man lacks compassion and does not possess the basic customer service skills required to run a business. I would not recommend anyone getting their taxes done here. read more

My whole family has been going here for over 20 years. Be respectful of their time, BE PREPARED with ALL your return forms. They cannot file properly if you don't have the papers. And yes for $25 everyone will come. And yes if it's tax season it will be busy. File early if you can. If you cannot file early, be prepared to wait in line. We book a home visit months in advance of tax season. And we have all our tax forms in order so it it a smooth process. Excellent place. They have all our tax returns and are able to pull the files if we ever need them. There are always two sides to a story. I will be back again next year!!! read more

A mad house. When they only charge $25 for a return, you will have everybody and their grandma lined up to wait. ...And wait. ...And wait. No appointments taken. I waited 3 hours to be seen. I was bringing in my 95 year old aunt's return. She's been using them for a few years, so I came back to them because they have all her info on file. I couldn't get the same fellow this time. I ended up with a cranky old man who yelled at me and threw some papers back at me. I dared to make a suggestion. I was met with insults. By the end of my 15 minutes, I had him eating out of my hand. I'm the "Accountant Whisperer". There are about 30 chairs in there. It looks like an L A. bus station. Noisy and depressing. But hey! it's $25 bucks. read more

I am a type of person who don't put reviews, but this time I will. Me and my family lined up for 4 hours. When it is our turn we had ANDREW the owner doing our taxes. When he looked at my papers in the beginning he was sounding upset because I have 2 professional licenses with insurances that I am claiming. then, I pulled out papers regarding my claim for my father for disability tax credit. I was showing him medical bills that I paid for. He then said," This are all garbage! I won't do it! go find other places." I respectfully said, "We waited for 4 hours, what is wrong with my documents?" he said, it is unorganized you can all leave and find other place. I wasn't respected and I even requested if there is someone who can instead help us. He said No! we are not doing your taxes. I felt embarrassed. Just because they have so many clients they treat people like a piece of shit! Yes, they are cheap but the service is worth the amount. I WOULD NEVER NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! I went to Liberty tax right after, Yes, I paid more, but the paperworks I am showing Andrew from Happy Tax was all honoured. it is not garbage as what Andrew said. I just called for some simple tax advice. The fellow was willing to listen but very poor communication skills or any confidence whatsoever. I recommend moving on to someone professionally confident whose interested in your needs. They don't need your business here. read more

I went there this year..it took me almost 2 hour bye bus and another hour and half in line just to be told there was no service for me....they couldn't give me a reason either....I will never go back to this disrespectful business. ... they don't know how to run a business or deal with the public. ... April 6,2020. They open @8am despite website posting. Small office no charge parking infront. I was NXT in-line followed by 2 others I think my wait was 10min max. I had taken them 3 simple tax rtns & was charge $59.00 -that's the positive. However in light of covid19 they take no preventative measures! The 3 staff are not wearing gloves or masks. There are no plastic shields up at their desk protecting them. The FARTHEST AWAY you can sit from your tax "professional" is 3feet. The closest is 1ft & I believe this is the owner-not freindly at all even on the phone. All seem to be ignorant of social distancing. Even customers started cramming inside the little waiting room. read more

They are fast and efficient. The only thing I would advise against is calling for information on your file. They will call across the room full of 15+ people, stating your full name and your inquiry, with the other accountant calling across the answers. While recently here I can name 5 different people and whether they received a return, if their file was worked on and why it wasn't if it wasn't, etc. A VERY big breech of confidentiality and something that can easily cause fraud or lawsuits. For the price point ($25/person; cheaper for more than 1) I would say Happy Tax does a great job with their service. It's only my second year with them, and yes you have to take a number a wait and the wait may be long (I was there 2 hours from beginning to end), but if you have the time and don't mind waiting then Happy Tax is for you. Their website needs updating though as when I checked it said the office opened at 11am. I tried calling the number on the website several times too but was never able to get through to anyone nor leave a message. When I arrived, the sign on the door says they are open 8am-8pm during the week. I have a feeling though these are the temporary hours of operation during the busy tax season. Had I known however, I would've made it there much earlier to avoid the excessively long wait. So moral of the story is to get there as early as you can! There are 3 accountants who work there diligently all day long - never even taking an official lunch break! read more
