I had bought 2 pedicures through SwarmJag for myself and my girlfriend back in June to get a pedicure for July from Happy Face Esthetics. I get close to July thinking that I could just call in and come in the next few days for a pedi. But when I called, I was told that I couldn't get in until late August! August?! And I need to know the exact time of day that I'm available, how am I ever going to know what I'm going to be doing at that exact time 6 weeks from now? But I booked it anyways. I called the day before to confirm our 2 appointments and had to leave a message as there is no one to answer the phone, even though I called about 3 times, on the 3rd try I left a message. She did call me back later that night with the correct time, but I did not receive the proper message (my fault), but I called her back later that night a few times to confirm again, but no answer... again. Our 2 appointments we're for 10 and 11 am, which I thought was 11am. We showed up at 11 am, with signs everywhere saying that Happy Face Esthetics is open and we get to the door to see a note on the business door saying that she's stepped away and to call the business number. I called numerous times, with no answer again but left a message. finally after waiting for 30 minutes our front and not one showing up, we left. While getting a pedi from a competitor up the street who could take us right away, no problem, I got a phone call from the owner and the only employee, who does everything, keeps the shop open, answers the phone, customer service and the esthetician to tell me that I had the wrong time (true) and that I was rude for not showing up on time. I understand that we were late, but we had 2 appointments, 10 am and 11 am and we were on time for the 11am and she was nowhere to be found. She just continued to be rude on the phone and wouldn't take ownership for the 11am appointment, awful customer service and this is not how you treat paying customers, but maybe because I had pre-paid for her services and she already had my money and could care less if I came in or not she could be rude, if anything... she benefits from us not cashing in on our online coupon. I will not be returning to this business ever again and I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone to get a pedicure, manicure... anything, unless you want to wait 2 months on a waiting list. I would understand if she was the best in her trade or some sort of celebrity. But by the looks of the shop, location and website... it's nothing special, quite the opposite actually. There are a few other nail salons on the same street and up the street who will take you right away for the same price. They took us right away and our toes look great :) read more
