The negative review I just read here is a complete lie, or an absolute isolated case. There IS a security lock on the front door and you need a code to get in. They make you sign in and check IDs. My son also has separation issues and cried hysterically when I first left. He still cries sometimes even after months because it is early in the morning and he's not in the mood for it. However, he has never been left alone to cry by staff. They take him and comfort him any time he cries and I've seen them do this with other little ones having a tough time. Every single morning Sandra and/or Joe (owners) allow my son to stand behind the counter and watch me wave good-bye and pull away on the monitor for the parking lot security camera. Even if they have to stop what they are doing and change the monitor, they do it because it makes him feel more comfortable and have a better day. They do not sleep on the floor but on mats, like any other child care center. I have never smelled urine there, it's always clean, uncluttered, and bright. I have made some pretty tough requests and they accommodate me with no problem. They support my son's vegetarian diet, picky eating, (letting me know how he ate, encouraging vegetables), and have even honored a difficult to fulfill naptime request that has made my life a million times easier. They will help you out in any way that they can without batting an eye. I love this daycare and wouldn't switch. They are super accommodating with everything, be it payments, hours, special care requests, anything. My son is happy there and LOVES his teachers and all of the other staff as well. Every day he comes home ecstatically showing us the work pages and little projects that he has made. The teachers always take the time to tell me about his day and work to form good parent relationships. Happy Days is a close, family run daycare and your kid will be happy and nurtured. read more
