I entrusted [Dog Sitter's Name] with my dog, Aero, for a three-day boarding stay, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend her services.
1. Misleading Boarding Location - The website advertises 3085 Departure Bay Road, but I was instructed to drop off and pick up my dog at a different location on Sixth Street. When I asked to see where my dog would actually be staying, I was denied. Any reputable pet boarder should be transparent about their facilities.
2. Lack of Updates - Over three days, I received only one photo of my dog sleeping on a couch. There were no pictures or videos of her on walks, playing, or engaging in normal activities, which raised concerns about how much attention she was actually receiving.
3. Unusual Behavior After Boarding - When I picked Aero up, she was not herself--lethargic and not her usual happy, affectionate self. While I understand that some pets experience separation anxiety, this reaction was very different from previous boarding experiences. When I inquired, instead of providing reassurance, I was met with defensiveness and irrelevant explanations.
4. Unprofessional Communication - When I raised my concerns, I was met with contradictions and gaslighting. I was even sent links to dog depression videos, implying that the issue was with my dog rather than acknowledging the clear change in her behavior post-boarding.
My dog is a social, well-adjusted dog who has never had an issue with boarding before. My experience with other pet care providers has been transparent and reassuring, but this was the complete opposite. I would strongly advise anyone considering this service to ask thorough questions and ensure they feel completely comfortable before leaving their pet in this person's care. read more
