We were both relieved and a little alarmed by that! My crispy prawn rolls were absolutely delicious, and I would order them every time - in fact I now order them whatever restaurant I'm in, just in case they also do them! Our main courses were fine, I think I had some sort of sweet and sour chicken with plain rice, and I'm sure my sister had the vegetables in black bean sauce, because that's what she always gets. They just weren't very memorable. The service was pleasant, but not overly warm or friendly. 'Efficient' I suppose describes it quite faithfully. I bought my Diet Coke from the newsagent next door. I've never been able to reach the restaurant by phone to order lunch because nobody ever answers, so I have to walk there. This isn't a big deal for me since they're super close and cook everything in about 7-minutes, but I have also gone around during their lunch hours (12-2pm) and found it closed. It's a small family operation and I assume with only a husband/wife team running the show, if one is sick or they need to do something else during business hours, the restaurant stays shuttered for the day. I know this all sounds bad, but honestly, for the price, portions, and overall quality of the lunch special it's worth popping in every now and again.
