I had my doubts about this place, based on the other reviews... But I'm definitely glad I checked…read moreit out!
Although a chain, inside is nice.. doesn't appear to have a fast food atmosphere so I wasn't scared away. Communal seating here is the theme, so grab a seat and get cozy with others! Apparently they take reservations too, but I didn't have one, and I had no issues on getting in.
Menu is Japanese named items, but explained in both German and English. Also, pictures are present for most items. I started out with Agadashi tofu, followed by a Shoyu ramen, all washed down with an ice cold Kombucha.
Tofu- nice broth/sauce it was served in, but the fried wasn't that fried or crispy, more of a flour coating. The tofu itself was not as soft as traditional agadashi, but more of a firm bean curd.. Either way, good flavor, but didn't love the texture
Ramen- After my MoschMosch experience, I was really expecting to get let down. However, the broth tasted great! The noodles were real ramen noodles, and not soggy! And the pork.. wow! Great flavor and soft, like it was cooking for hours! I was really blown away to how great this ramen was!
Overall, for all three items, I walked away with the bill being 16 euros.. which really isn't that bad, knowing that I walked away stuffed and happy! The drink was actually more expensive than the app! I will definitely be back to try other items! :)
