The tailoring work is first class. You would have to go to continental Europe, specifically…read morePortugal, to get the same thing. They can do things that most tailors can only dream about doing (e.g., Neopolitan shoulders, canvasing that is light and airy). This is a master tailor at work, and expect to pay a fair price for the results. If they were located in Montreal, Calgary or even Winnipeg, I suspect they could charge four times the amount and not take walk-ins. I find their real strength is dealing with military-inspired work (i.e., adjusting British made suites or making them from scratch). However, they can do a more relaxed Italian style. This place is a gem. The only problem is that few people in Regina will notice the quality. However, when I have had some of their garments repaired in Montreal (they last forever) tailor there asked for the name, and they know who it was. These people are craftspeople/artists in their own right, and I am grateful they are here. You do not go to a gourmet restaurant looking for a cheap hotdog. However, for comparative bargain basement prices, given the quality, this is a deal.

Stay away from this Place, if you think you deserve to be treated respectfully!!!…read more I had given a pair of Suit Pants for Hemming and Size Alteration on December 1st, 2015 evening at this store. While turning in the pants to the person at the Cash Register, I had informed her that the waist button just fell off and it needed to be sewed back. The person entering the order asked me to leave the button in the pants pocket and that she will have it sewed for no extra charge. As I was telling her that my total for alteration of over $30 was more than what I had paid for the pants themselves. When I went back to collect the pant on December 2nd evening, the older lady present in the store (who I was informed is probably also the manager there) was getting ready to go on a break. I told her I was there to collect my Pants and she let me in. I tried the pants on and felt like the person that worked on it did a pretty good job. I also noticed that the waist button was still missing. I informed it to the lady and she replied that it was not done because it was not mentioned in the order. The Lady that took my order was also not around at that time. When I tried to explain what happened last evening and requested her to check with her colleague, she responded very rudely. She told that sewing the button is extra $7 which was not charged, and very reluctantly said that she would sew "a" button. I told her that I needed the original button which I had left in the pockets, when she was trying to sew in some other button (which looked really awkward). She behaved in a very uncivilized manner saying "No one will peep inside your pants to look for what kind of button it is", and tried to touch the pants I was wearing to prove her point that the button for the waist of the pants is not similar to what is sewed over the back pockets. I told her it looks exactly like those buttons as I had seen it, and had put it myself in the pocket of the pants. Fortunately, I noticed the original button I had put in the pants pocket on a sewing machine in the shop and told her that this was the button. In the end she sewed it, but it was a very unpleasant experience for me. I wanted to bring this matter to the attention of the store owner or manager, so that any corrective measures would be taken and other customers wouldn't have to go through a similar experience. I ran into the lady that took my order later in teh week and explained her what had happened. She seems to be a nice and decent woman who informed me that the lady who behaved rudely with me could be the manager itself, and that the owner of the brand lives in Toronto. I thought it would be moot point if the person I was going to talk to was the person that caused the problem. The (nicer) lady informed me that the company values customer feedback and suggested that I could email everything to an e-mail address. I e-mailed the business explaining what had happened, but they never responded or even acknowledged the receipt of my e-mail. Reading some recent reviews, it looks like the rude lady is still around and the situations hasn't changed. Although I like the way the work was done, I would neither return to the store in future nor recommend it to others.

Sewing by Penny - Botched hem. Only touches the floor in the center. Crooked and uneven.

If I could give negative stars I would. She quotes you a time, doesn't reach that time and then…read morebills you out the ass for rushing and then discusses your concerns on a public forum for the world to see instead of messaging you privately. She had my dress for 7 weeks when she quoted me 3-4 and then used the excuse of having 18 hours to get it done for billing me out the ass. I do not recommend her at all. Will never do business with this woman again. It wasn't even done nicely. The front of the hem of the dress is really high on the right side, my foot shows and then it angles down the further to the left it goes as if starting a train....the train's in the back, not on the left side of the dress and the right hip is really loose fitting which it's supposed to hug the right butt cheek. Total rip off. I posted a picture of the botched hem on my review on her Facebook page. And if you're not happy with her service she gets her friends and followers to attack you saying that it's your fault for the unpleasant experience and making snide and immature comments like "want to speak to a manager" and then has them comment if they've had services done by her and were happy with it just to take a stab at you. She's incredibly immature for her age. Had another seamstress look at my dress. The floor hem that Penny did is crooked and needs to be redone. This woman is only going to charge me $50. The tulle wasn't touched. It was just the outer layer of the skirt that was tacked up. The beadwork is attached to mesh so it was one solid piece to move. She said that it should have only costed me about $150-$200. Penny charged me over double that. This is coming from a woman who makes wedding dresses in 12 hours. I wish I knew that she was still sewing. This other lady would've saved nr a lot of money because Penny ripped me off and wrecked my dress. I feel like she charged me based on what the original price tag was on my dress because that itself was worth way more than I actually paid for the dress. So this other woman will be getting my business from now on. Literally go anywhere else. And the quote Penny is using from me "she would have saved me a lot of money" is not about Penny at all. She will rip you off big time. My quote she is trying to use to make herself look good is actually about the lady who fixed my abomination of alternations Penny did. Way to twist someone's words who literally hates your work and your demeanor.
