They got my really confused when they asked me what kind of boba. I told them the regular big ones. The cashier told me that their regular ones are the brown sugared ones. At least that's what I think she said....? I don't know, but I started pointing to stuff just to move things along. I also ordered the classic egg puff with cream. I asked for some condense milk on the side for dipping. My drink tasted awful, and I did not care for the texture of the boba. It didn't taste soft and fresh like the ones I'm used to. I also tried the brown sugar milk tea, which was also not great. The egg puffs however, were very yummy and worth the order (if you've never had eggs puffs, they're almost exactly like waffles with a different appearance). The matcha flavor doesn't look much like green tea, but tastes just like it. I'd recommend those snacks for sure.

I had almost no hope of finding any tea houses in Germany since it's not as popular here as it is back in California. I had the Rose Black Tea with the Cheese topping. Very refreshing! The slight saltiness of the cheese compliments the sweetness of the tea. My friend got the Strawberry Smoothie, and I tasted it and it was very good! I would definitely come back here soon to try the rest of the menu! I have my eye on the Jasmine Milk Tea for next time.

We were a pretty big group of seven, and it did take the servers a while to get all our drinks and food out to us. That said, the food itself was very good for being a Pan-Asian restaurant smack-dab in the middle of Germany. The larger main courses were more in the varietal Teishoku style, and their sushi rolls were as good as any you'd eat in the San Francisco Bay Area (which is to say ... pretty good!). The one thing that put a bit of a damper on the dinner for me was that I'd ordered a half-liter of beer, and asked once again if it was coming out as it had been a while. Well, two different servers returned with a half-liter each, so I had to gulp down a liter of beer in front of my friend's family which probably didn't look so good. :-P Other than that, Vinami was very good. I would come here again, only next time I'll be sure to ask ONE person for a beer and ask only them if it takes a while to come out.
