I have nothing but good things to say about this firm. I have multiple issues and tried for my disability in 2020 and was denied. Appealed, denied, etc. Got a different attorney who did zero, and when we were to go to court, for some reason, my case was dismissed. Then, that firm dropped me with no explanation. Fast forward to 2022, and I tried the frustrating process again. After all the denials and appeals, I reached out to Hankey, Marks and Crider. I got Mrs Crider as my attorney. Everything went well. They got all my documents and everything needed. It took almost a year for court, but she made sure I was prepared. After court, it took less than a month, and I received my approval for my disability. All their fees were due when i received my back pay, so I didn't need to pay anything upfront. They kept me in the loop with everything. If I called with a question, they returned my call with 24 business hours. I highly recommend Mrs Crider. read more

I wouldnt do business with these people even if they were the last people on this earth.I Spoke with an intake rep for 2 hours !!!!! At 8am couple months back about my situation,she sent me a 20 page packet to sign comfirming the relationship (i decided to hire them), here we are 3 months later and i call them to see whats going on & they tell me that i had told them i didnt want to do business them with anymore....how is that possible if i signed a 20 page contract with them???? I then got an attitude from the front rep lady when all i did was ask her a valid question "how is this possible if i signed a conttact?" I got backtalk ! I felt like i was talking to a friend more than a professional being at an attorneys office..no empthathy or wants to help the situation. So wrong . This firm couldn't care less about our case. We NEVER got updates unless we called them, and in doing so, we felt pressured not to. Crider was late for court, which didn't sit well with the judge. After 8 years and several trials (state and federal), Hankey gave up on us. We should've NEVER contacted them. My 54-year-old wife is still disabled and bed-bound, with zero SS assistance. read more

I contacted this firm regarding a social security case that has dragged on for years with loads of evidence to back my claims. I was told that my case was unique and they'd never seen anything like it. They refused to represent me without giving a reason. I contacted the hearings office and spoke with the head of their legal department who told me she would like to speak with "Ms. Crider" and ask why the couldn't step in as counsel because she saw no legal reason as to why they could not. I can only assume either my case was too complex and difficult for this firm to handle or there just isn't enough money involved for them. read more

I had a SSI disability hearing over the phone back in December 2020 and I felt that I was not fully pre paired before my hearing . But I thought I would be ok because my attorney had all my medical records sent in and I told the SSI judge about all my medical issues I had during my hearing . I just had gotten my SSI hearing decision in the mail today march 2021 and I was denied my SSI disability claim. Went thru 16 months of lost time and stressing out over it for nothing. I just wish things could have went better with my case. Moral of the story is if you can stand on your own feet than your not considered disabled. read more

I had been denied my Social Security the first time about 12 years ago. I gave up, I didn't file an appeal. UI did everything I could to work and help with our expenses, to no avail. About 3 years ago I felt forced to try to file again, even encouraged by my Dr. Again, I was denied. But this time I didn't give up. I needed the help and I believed by law I should have it So I called Hankey Law. I was skeptical at first and my husband was even more so. The wait for a hearing is beyond crazy and there is very little anyone can do to speed it up. During the wait the Hankey team was there to help with my anxiety and impatient fears. They continued to keep my medical information current. We finally went to court, twice The Hankey Team was there all the way to the end and then some. We won!!! I couldn't just thank 1 or 2 people at Hanky they really are a team. We used to snicker when Mr. Hanky said in those commercials "We hope you never need us, but if do we're here when need us". Worst customer service ever!!! Seems no one knows how to do their job or just plainly do not care. I was left on hold over 10 minutes trying to get the status of a hearing. I had to hand up and callback 3 times asking for a supervisor or anyone to just provide the status. I would NOT recommend doing business with this office!!! read more

I left feeling like my intelligence was insulted. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone! Not even my worst enemy. Not responsive at all. Frida and Carolyn (supervisor) not professional at all, supervisor did nothing but pass my issue on to someone else and basically said I was the one not responsive, based on Frida's false notes! I handled my initial claim with SS by myself. They did nothing for me except made the application appointment and that took 5 months! Yet, they still get their 25%! I truly believe they are a scam! Don't go here, and if you do and they assign you to Frida, run! She won't return phone calls, yet she documents in the notes that she does. Then she documents that I wouldn't return HER phone calls! Worst experience ever and just added more stress to an already stressful situation. read more

My 30 year old son who suffers with mental illness was awarded his disability April 2020. It is almost December and he has yet to receive his back-pay so he can find stable housing and get his life back on track. Hankey's office did a good job of getting him through the disability hearings but they say their part is done once a favorable decision has been made!!! They got their money but refuse to track down and get my son's money to him! Considering they were paid $6000.00 for no more than 30 hours of actual work on my son's case I think this is outrageous!!! Not to mention very unprofessional! Instead we have contacted SS at every number available only to be told "You'll get it in the next couple weeks, or next month" over and over and over again. I don't understand how they can take their money and then just drop you without following through to make sure you get yours also. It's just NOT RIGHT! And should be illegal. I'm going to contact a malpractice attorney Monday to see what can be done! Eight months is enough! read more
