I have visited the garage twice so far, both for small repairs on my ancient diesel, one for the boot mechanism and one for a non-functioning lock due to a break-in. In both instances, my repairs were done within the day and at a price of under £70 each, a price helped by the mechanics trawling town to find second hand spare parts to keep costs down for me. My mother previously owned the car and had been quoted three times that for those repairs. In fact, Steve's garage is pretty inconveniently located for me since I live in Hove and work in Woodingdean, and I keep considering finding somewhere closer to my workplace, but I like them too much to stop using them! Have never found them to be anything but honest and hard-working.

Providence Auto Repair changed my front break discs, front lamps and adjusted the exhaust system to adequately support the front. They provided friendly and timely service, with a normal price range of what had to be done and saved me almost £200 (which I would of had to pay in the other garage). They have gained a new customer, I will definitely be returning there again!

They did a fantastic job from the free estimate at the start to the finished job which took a surprisingly short amount of time and didn't run into any 'hidden extras'. Mechanics and panel workers do have a relatively bad reputation for ripping people off but the service and final product here is really good. They've been in the business for 30 years so I guess they know how important repeat customers are.

I find it hard to believe what I see here from some people . You cant expect tyres to not get punctures if you drive where their are nails and screws left in the road . Dont blame the garage , blame the builders that leave their screws in the road . Look where you are parking , and where the glass is laying around from bear bottles . It is down to you to look what you are driving through . I think some people need a sense of proportion . This is a great service at this garage , If it was bad why would I keep returning .

We had the good luck to find Grants where they fixed not only the oil pressure problem but also another niggling issue that the garage at home in Birmingham had failed to fix. Turned out to be the sump oil strainer was clogged with sludge. The bill was reasonable and giave advice on using better grade oil (which had probably not been the case when previously serviced). They are obviously up to speed on current engine technology and know what they're talking about. 'Thinking about coordinating future visits to Brighton with vehicle servicing. My 2002 S class Mercedes developed a fault with the Airmatic suspension system and very soon the…read morewheel arches were barely clearing the tyres. I thought it may be uneconomical to repair and considered scrapping despite the fact it was a really good runner. Steve at Prestige Autotech diagnosed the problem and fixed it with a new part called a valve block. The cost was less than I feared and it is now better than ever. I highly recommend these guys and will use them for all future needs.

I found Prestige Autotech on the internet contacted 'Phil' and described the problem and he gave me a very competitive estimate (£216 +vat to replace both front springs) and we booked it in for the following morning. The repair was carried out most efficiently, I found their workshops to be very clean and modern and Phil to be most helpful and knowledgeable. My car was back on the road and off to the test centre for retesting (which it passed of course) by early afternoon and the final bill exactly what it said on the tin. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and will be returning for all my future motoring needs.
