He also sold me plastic inserts for the inside of my shoes which I did not ask for. When I paid the bill I found it was $2,000 for all of this. I was flabbergasted at this and they wouldn't allow me to say no after I paid for them. I will never give a good review for this business. He's a crook and I've talked with many others who experienced the same as I. Maybe there are other good feet stores but this one is crooked!!

While The Good Feet Store does sell footwear, they have an extremely small selection. Why? Selling shoes turns out to be not really what they do. What they do is sell a system of various inserts for one's shoes to help with various ailments that cause foot pain and discomfort. The footwear they sell has (presumably) been vetted to be effective with their insert system. I was greeted by the sole employee shortly after I entered by being asked whether I had an appointment or not. I told him that I was really just looking for another pair of shoes, and he remarked about my Brooks footwear being great. One of the brands they sell is Brooks. He added that they may be able to fit me in for a fitting if I could wait for an hour or so (that a fitting takes approximately 45 minutes). Since I didn't have the time to spare, and since I only needed a new pair of shoes, I opted not to wait. He gave me his business card and said that I could call at any time to make an appointment. At this point, I was still a bit confused, honestly, because, as I said, I'd just entered and was looking to purchase a pair of shoes. I'd have really appreciated it if the employee had explained to me what they do since he seemed to have assumed that I already knew (which I didn't). How I found the answers that I included in my introductory paragraph was by reading the signage on the walls inside of the establishment after the employee finished with me to tend to the other customers. I'll consider their system if I ever find the need to, but if you're just looking to purchase footwear, this is probably not a good place to go.

Which goes along with the culture of the Salmon Creek area, in general. The front office does not seem to offer many activities for children, and I only saw one child during my experience here which leads me to believe that the target audience served here is likely the elderly. There are restrooms available, though, likely not for public use. Bring your own water because there are no fountains around! Unsure about the staff, other than Jessica, at the front desk being friendly and helpful! Both ladies managing the front do a great job. I was referred here by Carolyn Weaver, at St. Vincent De Paul to Doctor Tek Fish. He is no longer accepting patients at this time, and there are 4 alternate providers who are taking new patients. My appointment was with Doctor Barnes. I have Molina insurance. This clinic offers inserts for $65 and custom orthotics for ~$600. There was an ease of scheduling and the clinic also offers additional out-of-pocket treatments. Unfortunately, insurance only covers custom orthotics if you are diabetic. Clover Podiatry offers the most affordable custom orthotics in the Vancouver area that I have found. Thank you for a positive experience!

In my early 50's, and my feet have never bothered me except for two times: Once when I was 17 working in a warehouse, walking around on concrete all day in converse. Another time working a janitorial job in a school (20k steps a day) and again last summer working in a retail store (20k steps a day). By the end of the day I'd be hobbling when getting out of my car at the end of my shifts. I tried fancier shoes and some of those Dr. Scholls inserts, and they seemed to help very temporarily, but nothing lasting. Even saw my doctor who wasn't able to offer me much except a referral to PT and NSAIDs. I skipped it because I did that a few years earlier w/ a shoulder, and didn't have great luck. Decided to do a google maps search and see someone local who does nothing but feet, who could see the kind of feet that I have, and what I should do about them. Dr. Brandi was able to quickly assess and make recommendations followed up with an email with several links for shoes, slippers, sandals, and shoe inserts. I bought 3 of the inserts she recommended to use in shoes I currently have, plus a great pair of slip on house shoes, and now my feet feel amazing!!! I had been thinking about going to that good feet store they keep advertising on TV constantly and I'm so glad I didn't. This was the most affordable option by far.

And with every single doctor I saw, I asked if they could just remove the toenail and they all responded to me like I was asking if they could just remove my foot! The specialist told me that my toenail would basically never attach to the nail bed again. I decided to try one more doctor and thank goodness it was Dr. Bowen! I told him the saga of my toenail and then mentioned the responses to me asking if it could just be removed. He immediately said that removing it sounded like a good idea and he asked if I wanted to do it right then. I practically screamed YESSSSS!!! Within minutes, that pesky thing was off and my sweet toe could start anew. Cut to: it's two years later and I have had a beautiful, fungus-free toenail for a year and a half! It grew back perfectly. I'm so grateful to Dr. Bowen - not only is he kind, funny, and professional, he actually listened to me. For me personally, that is one of the most important things a doctor can do.

(I made my appointment for a Monday morning specifically so I wouldn't have to wait because of an overly scheduled day.)

I got a generic "well, we'd like to work with you first" which to me doesn't say "you can never return these." Now they are falling back on "it's on the receipt" which is such a cop out. I work in retail and we are always very clear with customers at time of purchase what can and can't be returned. It's that simple. So now I'll have to follow up with my lawyer friends and the state to see what kind of legal recourse I have. My question to Good Feet: why make it so hard? wouldn't really kill you to be gracious? They literally do not care if you walk away unhappy and will not issue refunds. The assumption is there are enough "new" customers who don't check social media before visiting the store. They care more about making a sale than the damage they do to the Good Feet brand. The manager told me, "Oh, I've dealt with angry customers before." Really? You might want to look into that!
