He is GREAT, not only at what he does but just being an overall nice guy in general. We just finished a home renovation project and were in the process of putting our house back together (furniture, picture hanging, ect). I contacted Mike about putting some chairs and dressers together as well as hanging several mirrors and pieces of art around the house (one of which was a huge portrait for over the fire place). We fully expected the job to take between six to eight hours but asked him to come for three hours first because we weren't ready to spend that much money after our renovation. To our great delight, at the three hour mark he finished all but one of the items on our list. We went ahead and paid for another hour and got everything we needed put together and hung in four hours (half the time and price of what we were expecting). The real gold star for him though, is him giving my friend his screw gun while she was putting my drapes up. He could have easily stood their laughing at her trying to screw it in and offer to do it himself (at a cost) when she ultimately failed. Instead he offered up his own tools so that she was able to complete the job. He's a real stand up guy and I'm happy to have done business with him! Highly recommend!

As usual, John arrived in time, worked professionally, and cared about long term safety more than just made things look good for now. There was confusion about where the line began, and I was unaware that people were expected to stand in a different spot although i was already there first. I wanted to be able to look down the isle towards my elderly neighbor as she is prone to falling over, so i stood in front of the counter where other people were standing as well. This individual became aggressive and confrontational, pushing past my elderly neighbor, saying "can you read" and also charging towards me, getting into my face while yelling. The "can you read" comment came from a sign saying where the line starts. This sign was positions to where i could not read it as it was facing the other way, an honest mistake. He then repeatedly raised his voice, got in my face, and made threatening statements, including telling me to meet him in the parking lot and saying he would be waiting outside for me to "deal with me" or something along those lines. A blatant threat. He also stated that he and i quote "i bury kids like you" which was rather disturbing. During the encounter, he grabbed my arm and squeezed it calling me "a skinny tranny." He also made insulting comments about my appearance and repeatedly mocked me by calling me transgender and making other derogatory remarks saying i "need tampons." This all occurred in front of other customers, including 2 elderly women who were visibly uncomfortable with his behavior and comments about me "needing tampons." I understand that people can have disagreements, but there is no excuse for threats, unwanted physical contact, or personal harassment. Because he was wearing company-branded clothing and presenting himself as a representative of Brightwater Electric, I believe the company should be aware of this conduct for his future interactions with clients or everyday people. I don't believe you want your company represented this way. I am not sure if this person was under the influence of drugs or alcohol but he was definitely erratic. This review reflects my personal experience and is being shared so that others can make their own decisions about the type of people you will interact with when hiring Brightwater Electric company. This also says a lot the people who work there as he was being transphobic and physically assaulted me by grabbing my arm. I am unsure if this was a hate crime or not as he did mention transgender people quite a bit and also wanting to hurt me in the parking lot. I hope this employee can reflect on this interaction and see how immature and hot headed he was. Disciplinary action should definitely be taken to prevent this from happening to a customer. If he was the owner, i will be posting this review if it is deleted or reported as i do have witnesses. I am also considering filing a police report regarding the threats and unwanted physical contact that occurred during this incident. I also made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will attach a photo of the person in question so people can be aware. I'm posting this anonymously as he frightened my neighbor quite a bit, she didn't even want to shop anymore, just go home. I do hope he has a better day than he was having and takes some time to reflect before he acts out again. It is unwise to judge people by appearances alone.

Fortunately I did find wonderful contractors who did actually come to my house twice, once for the initial consultation and once more to double check the ascetics before finalizing the estimate- this other company I ended up hiring and was very happy.
