Sent pics on WhatsApp, got a ballpark within 10 mins and they stuck to it (it actually came out a tad lower on the day). Two lads turned up inside the window, hi-viz, gloves, super polite. Old sofa down a tight stairwell, busted wardrobe, bags of random cables -- all gone in under an hour. They laid blankets so the walls didn't get scuffed and even swept the hallway which I didn't expect. Got the waste transfer note emailed before they drove off, so I know it's not ending up fly-tipped somewhere. Not the absolute cheapest quote I had, but no messing about, just did the job proper. WARNING THE WORST COMPANY EVER : ( I am absolutely disgusted with Handy Rubbish. I am extremely stressed and will be taking them to court. they asked for me to pay £500 deposit upfront for rubbish collection and I agreed, however when I checked my bank account they took the whole amount of £1150 before the job had even started. They then failed to turn up to collect the rubbish and I have been waiting 13 days for the items to be collected. I was shocked when the advisor on the phone John told me that he was based in the call centre in the Philippines and the owners are based in Poland and there is no physical presence in the UK. Had I known this at the start I would have not instructed Handy Rubbish. I called another company called London Waste Removal and the guys came to my property within 2 hours and removed all of the rubbish. Simply terrible - avoid at all costs! The email communication with Handy Rubbish was good and efficient. The estimate was for £170. Today the two Polish men that turned up were almost four hours late. I was not kept in the loop with their whereabouts. They said that I had more than they had. expected which I agreed with. I tried to do a deal with them. They quoted me £280 which I tried to negotiate down to £240 because of the lateness. Then they suddenly quoted £400! When I showed my surprise they became very rude, loud and aggressive and drove off leaving me with my rubbish at 4.30pm on a Saturday afternoon. My health condition is not in its best days and for this reason my doctors don't allow me to move any weight stuff and also recommend not to pressure my body with stressful situations. Handy Rubbish showed up into my life in the moment when I needed them the most. What I'm talking about, my husband's parents were coming into town and I wanted everything unneeded to be out of the house, I wanted to show them our home into perfect shape, to prove we are adults, grownups and can do all on our own and stuff like that... The situation got very hectic at some moment because we had only 2 hours upon parents' arrival and the van wasn't there. I'm thankful they came only 15 minutes late and managed to put all the amount of rubbish into the truck and leave our address 25 minutes before mama and papa showed up. Awesome! This company's customer services is professional, but the waste collecting people that are freelancers they hire are NOT PROFESSIONAL! Those guys quoted me £290 full van 14 cubic yard, and two guys came to my house, took less than 1/4 then left, not even close to 6 cubic yard! but I paid 14 full van rate! they held me hostage last minute and asked for another £290 after they messed up my garden completely, all bagged rubbished were out, bags were completely ruined!!!!! and they left all the heavy stuffs there and took the light weight bags. My garden was in dire need of some clearance. When I finally got down to it, there was so much waste that I found it impossible to dispose of. Luckily, I found out about the garden clearance service of Handy Rubbish Ltd.. I was so happy to see all of the waste loaded and disappear that I also included some of the other items I no longer need. I love buying furniture but it means I'm only stuck with old pieces. It's hard to deal with old furniture, as it's too large to store in the house and I don't want to pay to store it. The only solution then is to get rid of it and that can be a tough task as I have all types of furniture, large and even larger, so moving it and disposing of things isn't easy. This would be the case though if I didn't hire Handy Rubbish. I have used their services several times now and they never let me down. The team don't always have the strongest English, but we get by. They have always been able to shift my furniture safely from my home and they have always properly disposed of it. They said they recycle most of the items they collect so I thought that this was an additional charge. They informed me that this was part of their standard service and that it would not affect the price.
