I have had generator trouble on my RV for 4+ months. I replaced everything I could fuel pump, carburetor, air filter, fuel filters and spark plugs. Couldn't get it to fun more than a few min.
I took it to 4 different mechanics who tried different things - even taking off and cleaning the carb. Nothing. Can't get out figured out.
The guys at the RV place a few doors down recommended I take it to Hando's. I called that morning. They said I can bring it over and they could fit me in to check it out. Got there and as soon as they finished up with a trailer fix, they got to me. The tech was looking over everything and determined that the fuel pump was not putting out enough volume of gas. Low pressure, high volume is what he said. They didn't have a fuel pump, but recommended I pick one up at Cummins on my way through Billings, MT.
I did so and installed it. Bang! That was it!
These good at Hando's know their stuff!
Also, he charged me $50 to check it out instead of the $85 shop rate because they couldn't fix it on site. Fair. read more
