At the Village Academy she is thriving in the smaller intimate mixed-aged classrooms. Because of the small class size and individualized learning plan she is noticed, encouraged (and loved!) and the teachers understand her learning style and keeping track of her progress. There is close communication with the parents and our input is valued. Fridays are called adventure Fridays at the Village Academy. She has done so many fun and educational things on those days: Museums, tide pools, parks, a farm and much more.... learning doesn't just happen in the classroom! Nature and in-person experiences make learning come alive, the school is small enough to be able to facilitate many hands on activities both at the school and outside.
