Since we have transferred him to Park Village and seen great improvement. As for Morning Creek, our experience has been less than great. I don't feel like my son was given the chance to enjoy his home school. I don't think they implemented much to help him succeed in the classroom, I felt like he was judged for being hyper and hard to redirect. He did get free a little physical with some of the other TK students which I heard about every incident. But as the school year goes on with him at Park Village, he's been telling me about one specific student from MC He did not enjoy spending his time with and this student caused him a lot of physical pain as well even when he tried to be nice to him. I was never told of any kids being physical with him just the other way around. To this day HE feels like no one at the school, staff and students like him and as a mother, this makes me super angry because why is my five-year-old having these thoughts of his elementary school? I have spoken to a neighbor who told me she has met families who were told they don't have the proper skills teach high stimulated kids. Mrs. Smith, the behaviorist and the recess staff always treated him well. It makes me sad he thinks his teacher didn't like him and the other Students. It makes me angry that he supposedly initiated every violent incident. I got the chance to be in the classroom every morning for the first month of school and let me tell you, kids can be quite brutal to each other with their words! I know for the most part they don't realize what they say can be hurtful to somebody but my son has not forgotten all the mean words said to him at Morning Creek..

She is super supportive with the military support group starting up on campus which started up last year for the kids and the family. We have an amazing teacher who is an advocates and has been bringing military members on site to tutor young kids. I'm content and feel like I'm making a difference here with them. The PTA they are actually a fun group and they are for the kids. Work super hard and I love the programs. Absolutely love the volunteers I work alongside with, this year will be a good year I'm praying.

My son particularly loves learning about animals and the ocean, and there is a Nature Studies class offered, taught originally by Mary and now Nathan. Both excellent! They learn not only about animals, but ecosystems and plants. My daughter told me the other day that they are growing things in the outside garden and making salads from what they grew that they actually get to eat! We have been pleased with all of their teachers so far, but my son's 4th teacher Alexa really stands out. She is vibrant, engaged, and kind, and I can tell genuinely interested in the students and eager for them to learn. My son is sad to see this year come to a close because he has enjoyed the year so much. He has generally not been one to seek out opportunities to lead but Alexa has trusted him to do that, and I can tell it has boosted his confidence. My daughter's teacher this year for third grade is Adrienne. My daughter loves her. She said she is so patient and kind, but she get's the kids to learn. My daughter told me the other day that she wants to become a teacher because of Adrienne- what better testament to her teaching skills than that! My daughter will be sad to see the year come to a close as well. And finally I want to give a shout out to Natasha, the theatre teacher, and Sam, who teaches ceramics. Just wow. The theatre program at Innovations is truly one of a kind. She puts on so many shows, it is hard to see them all! I have enjoyed each and every show I have seen. My kids have also enjoyed classes with Sam. This is also a unique opportunity that not every school has to learn pottery, and working with ceramics to make various things like flowers, pizzas, ghosts, snow men. I love the projects they bring home. No school is going to be perfect, but as a family we are very grateful we found such an amazing school.

The highlight of our experience has definitely been the fantastic teachers! Adrienne Reighard has been a phenomenal teacher for my third grader. She's genuinely interested in getting to know each of her students and finding ways to support their learning. She's so calm, patient and kind, yet firm enough that the kids listen and respect her. She goes above and beyond to create a supportive and efficient classroom environment. And as a parent, I really appreciate her clear, consistent communication. Becca, the 3rd grade teacher's assistant, is also proactive and really gets the kids. Patrick, the Spanish teacher, is one of the most dynamic, engaging, and effective teachers ever. His students love the fun activities and catchy songs he incorporates in his class. He makes learning fun! He also teaches chess and woodcarving and it seems like he can make any subject interesting. Kristy Fitts and Christie Fullerton were also great teachers, and planned lots of engaging projects, field trips, and holiday-themed activities. Nathan, the nature studies teacher, is fantastic and plans some great hands-on activities for the kids, like making their own salads to eat and making their own hugenkultur beds for gardening. For families who prioritize a nurturing environment with smaller class sizes and a variety of electives, this school has a lot to offer. The academics are more relaxed than rigorous, which would be a good fit for those prioritizing a balanced lifestyle. That said, we have found that the school has been navigating some challenges with managing disruptive behavior effectively, which impacts the learning environment.

From the crossing guard staff saying good bye as we walk home to the warm smiles given out by everyone we see. The principal Mr. Iriqui has a huge presence on campus and I've heard him greet and say good bye to each child by name. It's one of those places that you go to and you can really tell the staff enjoys what they do. Our youngest had a tough start to TK and the staff really embraced her and made her feel at ease. Now she's sad that it's the weekend and no school for 2 days. The school has so many activities for the children as well as the parents. There are seminars on various topics regarding parenting and education and are really informative. There's always an activity for the kids incorporating something from the STEAM curriculum. Safety and a healthy learning environment is top priority for everyone. I was blessed to help out with picture day last week and got to meet all the kids and teachers from every grade level. This is truly a special place. The kids were all so well behaved. Their teachers were amazing at keeping large groups of kids calm without being nasty. The children with special needs, omgosh the love that poured out of every single teacher was unbelievable. All the teachers know these kids and truly love them and the children definitely know it! The principal, Mrs. Rabasco is fairly new to the school. This is only her 2nd year. She is amazing. From day 1 she knew my child, she knows all the other children by name as well. She has kids standing in lines to give her hugs. She is also completely immersed in the neighborhood even though she doesnt live here. She attends the Spring Valley community meetings and does everything she can to help the neighborhood that La Presa is in , which in exchange helps the families and kids here as well. This place is truly an amazing school and everyone should give it a shot before judging a school without even meeting the staff and taking a tour. Stein is your saving grace. My son jumped 3 grade levels in math and 2 in reading, but more than that, he is celebrated. He is loved. He is ACCEPTED.
