We adopted a senior rescue and knew we would give him the best days of his life...whatever he had left. Bogie was with us 4 years and 10 days. God how we loved that dog. Pk pets waited for us after we left our vets office, we pulled straight into the building and they met us with a gurney and offer to help unload our special boy. It was our decision to drive him to pk pets, as they would of picked him up at the vets. It was closure for us to bring him to them. Everyone on staff was gentle and caring. We were very vulnerable and I really appreciated them not trying to upsell us anything. The turn around time for Bogie's ashes was 24 hours, we got our little man back in a beautifl carved and inscribed wooden box and a paw print that was all included in the price. The service was very reasonably priced. I would recommend downloading the form and having it filled out before that day comes, your just too emotional to take care of little details. If we ever decided to get a rescue again, we would definatly go back to PK for pets when that time was needed.

I had to put my…read moreown beloved 14-year-old pit bull mix to sleep, and I had contacted another cremation service - while they were great at communication, they couldn't fit us in at 6 pm for dropping off my dog's body. It was frustrating, because I really didn't want my family to have to deal with "much" during this trying time. (e.g., didn't want my dog's body in the garage overnight). A veterinary colleague recommended "Pets Remembered Cremation Service" and I had an amazing experience. They were super responsive, had clear communication in a time of grief, and had an after hours fee which allowed me to drop off my dog's body at a time that worked for us. When I got there, they were so compassionate and empathetic, and really treated my dog's body with respect. I really appreciated the space (e.g., grieving room) and them greeting me at the door with guerney (with blankets and a pillow on it). I got my dog's ashes back the next day and the presentation was beautiful - a beautiful bag, temporary cardboard tube for his ashes, and the most heartwarming nose print and paw print memorial. You'll need to take Devney Drive rather than N Hillcrest. The facility was clean, bright and the layout was practical. There are a couple of bathrooms and a nice outdoor area. Matt and the entire staff was so very supportive and took care of everything. It was a pretty seamless process. All of the AV worked great for the photos, snacks and coffee looked fine as well. I was informed they were no longer associated with them, and the current staff were booked for the rest of the day. The caveat was if there were a cancellation, I would be called. Never received a call. I have a bad impression of veterinary medicine practiced in this area; extreme pricing, unnecessary procedures, and the inordinate use of technicians.
