    THEY HAVE ROACHES

On October 11th I stayed at Holiday Inn in Williamston and encountered the roaches pictured in this review. When I left the following Monday I contacted their manager, Miranda. It took two days to get a hold of her to finally discuss the issue. She stated that she would talk to the owner and call me back about issuing a refund but she never followed up. As you can see, the picture on this review has a time/location stamp to prove that these roaches were indeed in their hotel during my stay. If you are thinking about staying at this hotel, please know these roaches are going to climb into your suitcase and you are taking them home with you! And their management does NOT care and all! Also, they did not have hot breakfast, in addition to paying for the roach-infested hotel, I then had to spend money on breakfast for my kids.

This hotel was TERRIBLE!!! The pics online looked decent for the price but upon checking in I was thoroughly disappointed!!! I only remained in the room because I didn't get into town until 1:30am. It was 55 degrees at night and the "heater" was blowing cold air. I had to sleep fully-dressed. The wash clothes were stained and looked dirty even though they had been "laundered". I refused to take a shower in a bathtub that had still had suds and hair in it and fingerprints on the metal rails. There was a hole in the wall from where they may have been domestic violence or someone flinging the door open wildly. And the pool was essentially a junkyard for old supplies. This place needs to be CLOSED down. There was even trash on the floor that hadn't been cleaned up

Check in was very easy and fast. Friendly staff The room is clean and comfortable. White bedding is always nice Big wirlpool tub and plenty of towels Plenty of stations on the big screen tv Quiet air conditioner A outlet on the table lamp to plug in my phone Modern feel Plenty of parking This is my go to place when I'm in town

I will start with the positive - the front desk staff was very friendly. Once I got to my room however, it went downhill. I immediately went back and asked for new sheets because the ones on my bed were not clean. Every appliance in the room had a thick coat of dust on it. You know how hotel rooms come with complimentary travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and lotion? The ones I was given weren't even half-way full....I don't know if this was done out of laziness or cheapness. I had only been in the room a few hours and killed 2 spiders. The spiders weren't their fault, just added to my frustration and lack of sleep. The cleaning crew here really needs to step up their game. All people want is a clean room.

Definitely the place to stay here. Although it may be more expensive its worth it. Local hotels are dives and dirty.

Your typical Hampton Inn. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was well prepared and fresh. Will stay again.

Each room is just as welcoming and warm for your arrival. Your name awaits you on the door, and a piece of chocolate is calling your name from the nightstand beside the bed. Water, and other beverages are in the fridge in the foyer/hallway upstairs outside of the rooms, with any extra amenities you may want to use, such as when you forget your toothpaste, or if you want to use the iron, etc. We went in December so the house was so eloquently decorated for Christmas. Becky always accommodates any special needs or requests for breakfast, such as nut allergies and hubs and I being vegetarian since the last time I frequented the Moss House. Becky is also always equipped with local restaurant recommendations, as well as fun things to do in the area. A little extra thing that I love, The Moss House has it's own little soap in the bathroom. They leave you a little bag to take the soap that remains home with you, so (1), you are not wasting soap by leaving it and it getting thrown away, and (2) You can enjoy the herbal soap at home, because it truly smells amazing! We've now stayed in all of the rooms available and I truly love each room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of them as they are all wonderfully accommodating and cozy!

The back side of the hotel has a completely condemned wing, maybe in construction, maybe not but with materials piled up and doors boarded up. When we called to cancel the office clerk was unable or unwilling to cancel or refund, the manager was conveniently not there when my sister requested to speak to him (but had just happened to be there earlier when she originally called, a few minutes prior) since we booked through a third party, and they had yet to charge us we were asked to try and cancel the reservation with the hotel directly. When the house was made into a B&B a couple of years ago, they did a wonderful job of keeping the modern updates consistent with the period of the house. When we first arrived, we were greeted by a friendly guy named Sean who showed us around the common spaces and brought us to our room. I felt at home immediately. We were encouraged to nibble on any snacks left out for guests and to help ourselves to any wine or beverages that might be out. The room was gorgeous and received tons of light through the two windows. There was a tv with a dvd player, but limited channels (that didn't really matter as we spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch reading or enjoying a glass of wine). Breakfast was out for guests the next morning and included a delicious quiche, fresh fruit, yogurt with granola, and orange juice. All in all, I felt welcome, but no one on staff hovered around; indeed, the food seemed to magically appear and the dirty dishes magically disappear! The last thing I will mention is how great the shower was. I know, this is an odd thing to bring up, but for a house of its age, the water pressure was great and the towels were slightly fluffier than regular hotel towels. I urge everyone going to Greenville for the weekend (or longer!) to consider the 5th Street Inn. I am already planning my next visit back!
