If there was a way for negative stars there would be. I do not recommend this place. I understand they are going through renovations, but as a resident that lives here, this place is just disgusting. I don't normally review hotels unless they are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately, people do need to know about this hotel. We could have used some notice. We had checked this hotel on Yelp before staying and did not find any red flags, or any reviews at all in the last two years. However, after our stay, we checked Google Reviews and found many red flags. Guess we will be checking Google from here on out. Talking with a staff member, we understand that the hotel has been under renovation for 8 months so far, and will likely be under renovation for months more. Apparently the new beds have been on backorder for 12 months so far. They are renovating in stages. Fortunately, they have finished replacing the carpets already and there is no longer a lot of dust. However, the partially renovated rooms still have issues even with the replacements. We stayed in Room 200. Hilton App showed us checked in but we were not. We needed to check in manually. During our stay the key card system was not working and we had to be let into our rooms by staff. Bagged waters were not provided the night we stayed but were being offered to new people the next morning. Our stay here was the worst experience of the Hampton Inns on our 3000 mile road trip. Personally, we won't stay here again. We will stay either in North Platte or Cheyenne. PROS: 1. Windows do a decent job of blocking the freeway noise 2. The shower is new 3. The carpets are new 4. The couch and chairs are new 5. There is a bed 6. There is working AC 7. The door does lock 8. Water does work 9. Elevator does work 10. Staff was kind CONS: 1. The hotel is the closest hotel to the freeway. 2. Only one elevator 3. New shower drain was clogged already and drained very slowly, leaving us showering in a lake 4. Old shower head was not adjustable in any direction or flow rate or pattern 5. Toilet seat hinge was broken, tilting the seat 6. Toilet was too close to bathroom door, so that you had to close the bathroom door to sit down 7. Bathroom door drifted closed always and would hit you on the toilet. Bathroom door needed to be all the way open or hard closed. 8. Shower light took a long time to fully come on. Shower/toilet room was completely dark otherwise. 9. Beds were old, hard, and really uncomfortable 10. All room number signage is not mounted on the wall yet, it is sitting on the floor 11. Bathroom sink hot and cold are reversed 12. Shower temp varies A LOT and could scald you if you turn it up too far when it dips cold read more

Good stop. I got the king room with suite to give us a little extra room. Room was clean and spacious. TV was a little small. Breakfast was good - oatmeal, sausage, banana, and English muffin filled me up. Service was great. We were met at check in by a very friendly host. The person managing breakfast was doing a great job keeping things clean and full. Very nice stop. Even saw a beautiful sunset from the hotel window. read more

I'm really starting to like the on line early check in. I pre-picked my room and when we arrived I identified myself at the front desk and they handed me our room keys and we were off to the elevator. The room was the usual clean, comfortable type we have come to expect with all the essentials: flat screen TV, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, complimentary WiFi, work desk, etc. Of course they have a complimentary breakfast; they are very conveniently located off of I-80. Breakfast was the usual assortment of tastiness. They vary the selection from one day to the next to keep from boring you if you have a multi-day stay. This morning at this Hampton Inn they had mini omelettes, sausage patties, and home style potatoes that were all delicious. I also made my usual waffle, good as always. My wife went more for healthier items and told me they deserve five stars for the quality of the fruits they offer. This is your typical Hampton inn. They have great rooms and very comfortable beds. I ended up checking in late, so I didn't get to check a lot out , but the room was nice and clean. Again the bed was the best part about the experience. The continental breakfast was good and there was plenty of room for seating. I tried out the pool and it was not cold at all. Big surprise. The flooring in the pool area looked aged from the cracks but it still worked. Overall a good experience with a good room at a good price. read more

I'm liking Hampton Inns a lot. The past few occasions in which I've stayed have proved to be clean, comfortable, and quiet and this location was not an exception. My king bed was very comfy, especially after a month of sleeping in graduate student housing for a music festival, and the room itself boasted a fairly recent renovation and upgrade. Housekeeping also had a welcome (chocolate) hug and (chocolate) kiss on the bed -- how "sweet!" ;) I left too early the next morning to enjoy the free breakfast, but I'm sure it is comparable to breakfast at the other Hampton Inns at which I've lodged. Well, there were no bugs or mice. So that's a good thing. And if I am honest, it was pretty clean. Another big plus is there is free breakfast in the morning in the lobby. It is not great, but it is free. Free internet. That covers the pluses ... let's talk minus. First, and by far my biggest complaint, cold showers in the morning. It was not just me either, everyone in the lobby in the morning was talking about it. I also heard several people at the business I was on-site visiting talking about it. Cold shower on a 6 degree Nebraska morning ... ungood. Next, the shower leaked. No matter how I stood or configured the door, there was a huge puddle on the floor when I got out. Big, cold ... puddle. Way more than the bath mat and an additional towel would resolve. Terlet don't flush right. :-/ I travel for work, A LOT. I am very in tune with what was done and why housekeeping wise when I return to my room after work. I go to pretty far lengths to NOT make the housekeeper's job difficult. I pick up after myself, consolidate trashes, use minimal towels, often I leave a tip. ($5-$10 with a note that says 'Thank You!') This housekeeping was adequate, but only just. Bed was MOSTLY made, one day I found the remote in the middle of the floor ... weird half-ass things. I typically stay at Marriotts, as much for the points as anything else. That was not an option in small town Nebraska ... so be it. Would I stay here again, yes. But only because all the other options scare me. read more

I will say that I have typically had good experiences with Hampton Inns. Finding one in western Nebraska was a nice surprise. Bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom was spacious. Lobby was nice. Free breakfast was decent (the potatoes were really good!). I think this location exceeded the expectations of most folks in our group. I do not know if that is because our expectations were low or what, but nevertheless, everyone appears to have left pleased with our decision to stay here. read more

The room was great and clean! However, the breakfast was a mess. When we arrived at 8:45ish the only available food was boxed cereal and eggs. Everything was wiped out. Hotel was fine, but the lady that checked us in was not happy to have her job. She was reading a book at the front desk, and she somehow didn't hear the front door open and people walking up to her. We had to get her attention then she acted like we were an inconvenience. Unlike every other person working at a front desk of a hotel, she didn't tell us where the elevators were or when breakfast is. All the people cleaning the hotel were talking on their cellphones while cleaning rooms, too. If you stay here, hope that you don't have to deal with the staff too much. They clearly don't want to work here, and it makes me wonder if there is a reason why. read more

I stay at Hampton Inns quite a bit and have always been satisfied, until now. This one let me down (and was more expensive than most). The shower leaked at the base, completely soaking the foot towel, the shower head sprayed at odd angles... needed to be cleaned out, or better yet, replaced. The quality of the breakfast bar was also below my experience at other Hampton Inns. The person responsible for it had a cell phone in her ear and working one-handed the whole time I was eating... obviously very experienced with this way of working. When I told her the coffee pot was empty, she said she was brewing it... which is fine, but they way she replied sure showed a lack of customer appreciation. On the plus side, all the other staff that I met were friendly and helpful. And the bed was comfortable as I expect. read more

From the parking lot to the rooms, this was a beautiful and clean hotel! Staff was more than helpful, the rooms were sparkling clean! I couldn't find a bad thing to say about it! The bed was beautiful with white comforters! Pretty brave considering most hotels wouldn't do anything other than dark or an ugly floral print! :) Room was very sound proof, I couldn't hear any traffic in the halls or the elevator running. Wifi was an easy hookup, TV was a nice flat screen & the couch pulls out into a comfortable bed. Alarm clock even has the "nature sounds" features which is a nice little touch! Food was great at breakfast, hot items & cold items, fruit, yogurt, bagels & cereals (and more!) I highly recommend this hotel and will be back for sure! read more

We've stayed in Sidney before as a rest for road trips and have always been disappointed in our hotel options... until this time thank goodness! We were very impressed with the young gentleman at the front desk when we checked in. He was friendly, inviting, and extremely fast and efficient! We even joked with him about it, asking if he could be any faster with our check-in. The hotel is pretty new, which is always nice of course. Our room was immaculate, very nicely decorated, and extremely comfortable. Not a bad free breakfast in the morning. We stayed on a Sunday and the price was reasonable. Beds were very comfortable. Perfect place to spend a night, so we would absolutely stay here again. read more

We stayed there for a night. After we checked in, the thermostat was not working. So we called front desk. The guy came in and said a wire is missing which might have been sucked up in the vacuum while cleaning. Which was highly not convincing since wire was attached in the unit not hanging outside. They gave us a room next to exit and in front of the store room. We were getting noise whole night for door opening and closing. I was hardly been able to sleep that night. During covid, I am pretty sure they were not full and they could have given us better room than that. Next day morning, I went to grab to-go breakfast. I saw bagels in plastic bags. I open plastic bag to toast my bagel and noticed that it was rotten. So I throw that away and grab another one. Second one was rotten also. So I checked other in the basket and found all of them rotten. So I called a lady working there and showed her bagels. I asked her if she has more fresh bagels. She came back with one bagel which was also rotten of course and she said that's the best she has. I was so much surprised that which kind of hotel has rotten bagels for breakfast for their guests. I am vegetarian and I couldn't eat anything besides that. They did not even had bread. I was completely disappointed. When I pay more than $100 to stay at a hotel, I atleast expect peaceful sleep and good breakfast. I don't know if Hilton ever check the quality of service and food offered to their customers. So if you stay at this hotel " Hampton Inn by Hilton " at Sidney, Nebraska, please check your food before you eat. I would never stay at Hampton Inn again in future and prefer other hotels oven Hilton also. I don't know why I even gave 1 star to this hotel. read more

Front desk and breakfast staffing is great. Maid service seems to be pretty good, although while it's clean..i'd be interested in a slightly cleaner..clean. If that makes sense. For instance, there was a random hair in the bathtub, that wasn't mine and something sticky on one portion of the bathroom floor one day. Other than minor stuff like that, the room really is overall pretty clean and modern. Great free breakfast included in your rate. The best thing is also, for those who are there multiple nights, there is always something different for you to eat in the mornings. Elevator is awkwardly slow at times, for only being three floors. But what can you do? Stairs are always a great alternative. :) read more
