I was in a quiet space and heard none of my neighbors despite the hotel being busy. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was solid. I was comfortable in my room. The bar was great. I was greeted cheerily every time I stopped by and it was just pleasant. Great conversation! When I checked in the front desk initially provided the wrong room number so my key didn't work. I went down feeling tired as the flight was long but when she saw what happened my exhaustion disappeared. She was sincerely apologetic and I really appreciated her transparency. I can accept an error with a sincere apology. Yes, there is no free parking here. For $15 a day (at the time of this writing) a person can park in the parking garage next door. The one thing I wish I knew in advance was that you can leave your car parked by the hotel's front door, check-in, get your parking pass and room key, and then park in the garage. Otherwise there's no other place to easily idle. It was a great stay.

I travelled to Huntsville for work, and the efficient cheapskate in me needed somewhere with…read moreconvenient parking, quick access to work-related stuff, and free breakfast. Drury delivered all that PLUS dinner each night. I've never stayed at a Drury before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised to find a well executed mix of clean comfort, with a professional yet family friendly vibe and atmosphere . Is it a 5 star upscale resort type experience? No. But it is nicely decorated, CLEAN, and has some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered, especially on a work trip. The rooms were spacious and clean, and everything actually worked as expected (air conditioning, water, etc... you never know with these government rate hotels). The breakfast was buffet style with lots of options. I've recently started leaning into high protein and fiber meals, so it was nice to have more than processed pastries and pancakes to choose from. The fitness room, although sparse in terms of free weights, was also clean and spacious, and the cardio equipment looked almost brand new. It overlooked the pool area, which looked just as clean and well kept as the rest of the hotel. But the unexpected added bonus was the evening dinner meal. I knew about it in advance, but I was expecting a couple of snack-like foods (veggie tray, trail mix, etc) like I've experienced at other hotels who offered a social hour or evening manager's special event. But this was a full on dinner buffet with daily rotating meals AND three alcoholic beverages. It was kind of typical cafeteria quality, but it saved me from having to go out to dinner or drinks for the three nights of my stay. And just thinking about the convenience of that fact alone if I were also traveling with the whole family would make it worth it.

I had made reservations because a friend and I were attending a conference near this hotel. We…read moredrove in the day before and we arrived at 4pm. We noticed that the hotel was extremely clean and we loved the way it was decorated. We checked in and we were given a quiet room, as l'd requested. The room was very bright and perfectly set up. We had requested 2 queen size beds and the room came with a flat screen television, a comfortable armchair and a desk chair for anyone needing to do any computer work. The entire room was clean, fresh feeling and the a/c worked well. The bathroom was large for a hotel room, the shower and tub were bigger than I expected and the water pressure was great. This hotel has breakfast included which was delicious. It also a "kickback" in the afternoon which is food such as taco meat and nacho chips, chicken breast, and white, fettuccine sauce, barbecue sliders and mac & cheese.. It was good food in the evenings. They also provided three alcoholic beverages from their list per day and popcorn in the evening along with soda. This was all included with our stay. l've never stayed at a Drury hotel before, but I think I'm going to search for them in my future travels! I was extremely happy with my stay in every aspect of my experience with the hotel. I did not use the fitness center, pool, whirlpool, or conference center. I wish I had been told about this hotel before. Again, thank you for making my experience so memorable.

I recently stayed here at the Springhill Suites by Marriott (in Huntsville, Alabama) for several…read moredays while on a business trip. Overall, I had a "very good" experience while I was here, even with a few annoyances. For the benefit of the reader, I'll highlight the pros and cons of this hotel, from my perspective. First, let's start with the pros, based on my experience: I was very pleased with the level of cleanliness, comfort, quietness, safety, and value of the hotel rooms here. These five attributes are the most important ones for me when staying at any hotel. The overall layout of this hotel is pleasant and inviting. The majority of the staff was professional and friendly. I appreciated that my hotel room had items that some hotels don't have, like a microwave, a mini refrigerator and a safe. I was also pleased with the free breakfast that this hotel provides for their customers, as well as the good coffee that is available in the lobby, 24/7. Finally, I was also glad that this hotel offered free parking for their customers. Now, for the cons that I experienced, and there were three: First, upon my arrival, I was not offered a free welcome gift, as is typical for all elite Marriott members. Usually, this is not an extravagant gift, and often consists of some free water bottles, free cookies or something like that. The second con for me was after I took my first shower in my hotel room, I was surprised to find a considerably large puddle of water in the bathroom just outside the shower. At first I thought I must not have properly shut the shower door, but then I noticed this occurred after every shower, regardless of how well the door was shut. It was annoying to have to avoid this puddle of water in the bathroom that was always there. Finally, for the third con I experienced, after staying here for a few days, I noticed that my magnetic key would not grant me access into the hotel from the back entrance. I always get two magnetic keys because sometimes they are faulty, but then I noticed that my second key would not allow me to gain entry either. I was forced to either wait for another customer to enter and I could piggyback on their entry or walk all the way around the hotel to gain entry through the front. And, I thought this error might have just been isolated to the back entrance, but after arriving at my hotel room I noticed that neither of my magnetic hotel keys would allow me to gain entry into my room either. Coming to the conclusion that my keys were entirely switched "off" for some reason, I went all the way back down to the hotel receptionist to have them "turn on" my magnetic keys again. After working a long day, this was incredibly annoying to say the least, and I was only more annoyed that the lady working as the hotel receptionist was not apologetic at all for their error. Again, despite the fact that I experienced three annoyances while I was here, my overall experience was "very good." Based on my experience while I was here, this hotel earned a 4-star rating from me.

The bed was comfortable, and the AC kept the room nice and cool on that hot June day. I liked that there was a separate toilet, mirror, and sink from the shower area. It made getting ready a lot easier. They also had a pullout out sofa and a microwave oven and a mini fridge. At some hotels, this is not the norm, and sometimes you have to pay extra for a microwave and fridge. Thank you for including these!! The location was also great. It was super close to the downtown area, Big Spring Park and Campus 805.

Let me start by saying this review has nothing to do with the employees. The interaction I had with…read morethe employees was great. They were all super personable, friendly, and welcoming. My issue is that this hotel is not anywhere near worth the $160 a night. I've stayed at better Red Roof Inns than this hotel. There is construction going on that, from what I've heard, has been going on for 2 years, so you get a wake-up at 7:30am to pounding outside your window. Then, after about 30 mins of that, the workers seem to disappear for the rest of the day. I was here for a week for business, and I didn't see much work going on except first thing in the morning. They do not have the complimentary breakfast that any other Hilton hotel I have stayed has. They said they have the restaurant, so you can get breakfast there for $15 per person. The restaurant was just as bad. I ordered chips and salsa and a flat bread pizza. The chips tasted burnt, the flat bread pizza was a hoggie roll cut in half with pesto sauce spread on it then the cheese was put on and half melted. I had to work from the hotel room for a day and a half and the internet kept going in and out. This happened while I was on a call with a client doing a presentation. I don't know if the room I was in was half remodeled, or they had not gotten to it yet or what, however the ceiling in the hallway between the living room and bedroom was falling apart. The shower tiles had mold or mildew in it. The knob on the shower was on backwards. The water only got luke warm. The make-up mirror almost fell off when i moved it. The carpet was complimentary dirty with red stains everywhere. This was absolutely a huge disappointment for it to be a Hilton hotel. This location was more of a $60 maybe $70 a night hotel.
