Not much attention to detail at this creepy, damp and musty feeling hotel. Our room was recently renovated, which was poor workmanship. The door to our room had gouges in it - I'm assuming from the contractor allowing it to slam on the lock. Neither of us wanted to take a shower after seeing it. The floor drain was loose and the doors were frosted to add to your claustrophobia kicking in. When we booked the hotel I paid extra for a king with whirlpool. When we got to the room, no whirlpool. My husband went down to the desk and got a refund for difference. Every time the air conditioner kicked in i was woken to a rattling vent. Keep driving and find somewhere else to stay.

Welcome note from Housekeeping.

Very nice, employees are polite and helpful. Food was good but the earlier you ate the better it was. Close to ARK.

Stay somewhere else! Staff is less than friendly. You have to track down housekeeping to get fresh towels or basic room items.

It was ok. Cleanliness was our #1 and it passed. We crashed for the night, showered and hit the road.

This hotel needs a major overhaul. Rooms are worn and ugly. Front entry is dirty and it is over priced.

This hotel was literally falling apart when I visited, but it was the only hotel in a 30 mile radius.

If you want a good night sleep I don't recommend staying here. Dogs are allowed and you will wake up to barking at 6am.

We highly recommend this hotel when you are in town to visit The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum!

This is a brand spanking new Holiday Inn Express in Dry Ridge. It was so new when I stayed there…read morethat I could still smell the paint. If you're in Dry Ridge you're probably here for the Ark or (my situation), you're from Kentucky and you can't stay with your parents because they keep the house too damn hot. Just weeks after opening, this place is already PACKED. Religious tourism is real. And what that means for you as a guest is these people are all so nice (I have honestly never been "Good Morning'd" so much in my life...) and they have kids. So get to that indoor pool early or you won't be able to enjoy it. The free breakfast is surprisingly good. I highly recommend you get up early for that to avoid the crowds. The aforementioned indoor swimming pool and the gym are also nice and clean - good amenities to have, particularly the pool which you rarely see anymore. The hotel in general is very nice but the rooms have some strange features - like an almost complete lack of storage space. Maybe my room was an anomaly because it was at the very end of the hall, but it felt a little cramped. If you're staying there with a family (as it appears most people are), these rooms are going to feel very small and you'll notice the lack of shelves or drawer space. There was a coffee area and a mini fridge. The lobby has a small store and a single desk "business center". I would definitely stay here again when visiting family in the area. It's better than average for sure.

When my wife suddenly became ill, the General Manager personally got in her car and drove us to the local Emergency Room. In a world where customer service is often reduced to policies and procedures, this was genuine compassion in action. We will never forget that kindness. Thank you for treating us like people, not just guests.

The longer we stayed in the room, the more bugs we noticed crawling around. It was absolutely disgusting. We went straight to the front desk and were told this was "normal for the season" and that moving rooms would not help because every room supposedly had bugs too. We had tickets for the Ark the next morning and there was a huge storm coming in, so we did not feel safe trying to drive around an unfamiliar area late at night looking for another hotel. We basically felt trapped into staying there for the night. The next morning I called corporate and was told the hotel agreed to refund everything. I explained we still needed time to find another hotel since we originally planned to stay 2 nights. When I called back around 3 PM after visiting Noah's Ark, suddenly they changed their story and said they were NOT refunding us anymore. After endless back and forth, they finally claimed they would "only" charge us $40 for late checkout and refund the rest, which I agreed to. Then came even more lies and confusion. The employee told me they "didn't know how to process refunds" and that I would need to call back when the manager arrived -- even though the person I had been speaking to, SANDRA, supposedly WAS the manager and had already promised the refund herself. Once we left, they ended up charging us for BOTH nights anyway. When I called the next morning, they completely denied ever offering a refund at all. The customer service was beyond horrible. Every single person gave different stories, lied about who the manager was, and refused to take responsibility. Absolutely one of the nastiest and most dishonest hotel experiences I've ever had. I've filed complaints everywhere possible. Videos of the bugs are on my TikTok, and I'm posting screenshots for proof. Avoid this place at all costs.

We weren't looking for a place with huge rooms, or a pool, or a workout room or anything extra like that, just a clean place to rest our feet after long 7hr days walking around the museums. I was looking around at several places to stay and wanted something a bit more upgraded than a motel, but also something that is comfortable for our family of four. So I booked a three night stay here, cause it was very affordable (around $85 a night) in comparison to some other places that I was looking at that were around $150-$200 night and didn't even include breakfast! So major win! I found out that later that it would have been even cheaper if I booked with them through their website (around $75 a night instead of $85) instead of through the Arc Encounter website so jot that down y'all! The service that we received over the phone by Angela even prior to arriving to the hotel was excellent. She was informative, professional, and kind and was able to send us our reservation and answer our questions. A ten hour drive later we arrived to our destination and it was easy to find! Once we arrived there was Angela at the front desk just as kind and pleasant as she was in the phone. Check in was easy and we entered our third floor suite and was pleased with the cleanliness. We had two queen beds and and a window seat that the kids loved to play at. The mini fridge was a good sized one that held lots of drinks and snacks that we brought along and the bathroom was clean. The sink looked like it was newer with a marble looking stone, the shower did its job and did have a bit of some areas in the bathtub area that needed a fresh coat of paint, but it was clean nonetheless. The breakfast in the morning was really good and was over three hours long which is appreciated for early and late risers! The staff was on top of keeping the eggs, sausage, pastries, hot syrups, drink items, cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, ect stocked and replenished. The kids loved making their own waffles and drizzling hot syrup all over them! Overall I would HIGHLY recommend staying here, the price is just unbeatable and the room and breakfast was better than some places that I've stayed at that was much pricier!
