First room they put us in the as dirty. Toilet and shower were dirty and there were bugs in the overhead light. Second room was better in terms of cleanliness (still old with shower stains) and loud with Highway noise. The front desk staff person was also grouchy (acted annoyed to be asked for help getting on internet) and unprofessional. She was napping on the couch at breakfast and made a long personal call on speaker phone from the front desk. read more

So retro it's ... well we laughed and laughed .the closet is a repurposed window.. the bathroom knobs for towels look like hot and cold faucet knobs. The carpet is shades of brown carpet squares. Carpet worse in hallway. Room number sign goes greatest to lower room number instead of vice versa. Can't wait for breakfast! I'm sure they'll serve Spam and Tang. I actually have an old soft FEATHER pillow on the bed.. prob a customers who left theirs ... Desk chair swivels, and rocks Side to side !!! Lamp shade is falling apart... Worst Hilton property ever. We used points for two rooms in November. In one room our outlets wouldn't work and when we were looking to make sure that our light was plugged in we noticed several extension cords plugged in and semi wrapped with electrical tape and it was compressed up against our mattress. We also had a muddy hand print on our wall that someone had left. I received a call from our daughter whom was in the other room and when she turned her shower on the spigot shot off the tub wall. I then went to get ice and the ice machine was leaking and had filled up the tub that was under it and the staff had put dirty towels all around it ti try and minimize the water. I approached the lady at the front desk and she did apologize and she had me send her the photos of everything so she could show her manager the next morning. The lady also said she would be crediting the points to our account which hasn't been done yet and that was 4 weeks ago. I would advise you to highly avoid this property read more

This hotel needs to be a Days inn. It's not a Hilton branded product. Leak spots in the ceiling, half ass remodels that are incomplete, broken down gym equipment in the lobby. The window shade wouldn't open in our room but when I pulled it back I found a cracked window, which is when I found wires going from the ac under the carpet. Clearly these people don't know what a permit is because this can cause a fire. The beds were ok. Hotel was quiet, but I overheard maintenance staff talking about a room that always has ants and they put guest in that room when the place was a half capacity. This hotel does not fit this brand and I hope Hilton corporate comes and checks over the place. read more

ROACH MOTEL - Entered room and saw a huge flying roach on ceiling. Obviously my wife was not going to stay and candidly, I did not want to either. Took two pictures of the roach and showed desk clerk and told her we could not stay. She said she would not stay either and a refund was promised. We were unable to find a quality hotel room on spot and had to drive home through the night for 9 hours. The next day the Manager, Trish, also promised a refund. It has been two weeks and no refund. I have called multiple times and sent a letter. I have been staying in Hampton Inns for more than 20 years and have never sought a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

From being away from a major population center, this is a pretty solid hotel overall. It's in an easily accessible location right off of the highway, meaning it is really convenient. The rooms themselves are good sizes. The beds are pretty comfortable and the bathroom is a good size. An additional benefit of the room I got was a standing shower, a nice touch that gives the room a more premium feel. I also love that the hotel has 24 hour coffee and hot water out in the lobby and also has complementary hot breakfast. While the breakfast was not amazing, given the price, it was more than acceptable. There are plenty of breakfast choices such as omelettes, sautéed potatoes, bacon, sausage, and all of your other usual breakfast offerings (cereal, bagels, etc.) However, this hotel is definitely starting to show its age and I think Hilton should definitely look at remodeling or renovating this location. For instance, the furniture in my room has definitely seen its fair share of wear and tear and look pretty dinged up. In the bathroom, there's spots where paint is peeling and the shower head just doesn't have much water pressure. The carpet is also starting to get worn down in the rooms and hallways. So overall, for the price, a very acceptable location to stay at. But Hilton can really make their customers even happier with a good refresh of this place. read more

Hampton Inn ain't the Ritz. But you know that when you book. As far as I'm concerned, if the beds are comfy, the facility clean, the water pressure (for baths and showers) good, I'm happy. And I was here. The Inn was filled with folks attending UGA's graduation, the same reason I was there. And unlike motels closer to Athens, they didn't price gouge. Small and clean outdoor pool, warm cookies offered mid-afternoon, coffee all day... Yes, this place has my recommendation. Booked thru the Hilton app as this was represented by the picture as a newer Hampton property. Quite the contrary. Easily 20+ years old. After checking in, had to move from the first room because the bathroom fan was loud and would not turn off. And, that bathroom vent is caked in dust. Went to the front desk and asked if the fan could be disabled, the front desk agent who was very nice (by the way), said they could not turn it off. Checked 2 other rooms, both of which smelled of dog, out of sheer exhaustion settled on a dog smelling room hoping I could cut the smell with Lysol. Lysol didn't work. This property is not even pet-friendly. Service dogs caused this? The room I decided to stay has paper thin walls (listening to my neighbors argue right now), a tiny TV that gets limited channels due to signal issues, and a mattress that is the worst I've ever laid upon. The ceiling has visible water damage. This is by far the worst Hilton property I've stayed and will never come back. Reminds me of a $40 per night hotel my buddies and I would have stayed in to sneak away and drink beer when in high school. Shame on the owners for not properly representing the Hilton brand. I will be sending my complaints up to Hilton Inc. for resolution. read more

Had I been traveling alone, I would have left without checking in. Upkeep of the property is awful. Staff is unresponsive to the point of being rude. I always respond to the survey after my stay - go figure this property didn't send one. I even complained directly to Hilton and got no response. TERRIBLE. read more

We visited for the Mt Olivet Methodist Church annual event in Homer GA (Banks County). We were warmly greeted by the front desk. The hotel was full because it was Memorial Day weekend. We received the best room possible even though we already had a reservation for a different room. They were able to change our room to a handicap room and it was roomy. Check in was a breeze and the lobby was very nice. The pool was being used by a few people. It was nice and clean. This area of Commerce has many places to eat. Almost every franchise is on this exit. We chose to eat at Long Horn because it was right next door. We enjoyed a warm hearty breakfast that stayed stocked with food even on a busy morning. The breakfast seating area is large so no worries on areas to sit. I would certainly stay at this hotel again. The price was right and the service was exceptional. read more

Still under renovation, but cheaply done. The building is still very old and dull-looking with a pungent oder throughout the hotel and rooms. We saw dust and debris scattered, the room I was supposed to stay in had the sprinkler unit hanging out and the bathroom did not look thoroughly clean. It may not be the Ritz-Carlton, but at $160+ a night, it should be in much better condition. Thankfully the nearby Fairfield Inn had rooms available. read more

The treadmill didn't work and neither did the tv in the fitness center. Staff was unfriendly and didn't recognize me being a Hilton honors member. I arrived at almost 9pm to find that there were NO lights on in the parking lot. None. The canopy wasn't even lite. After driving thru twice and hearing several men loitering, playing loud music out of there trucks, I pulled under the canopy and went in. I had been on the road for 10 hrs, completely exhausted and needing rest. I asked the young lady about the lights. She said she was new and didn't know how to turn them on. Yes, that's true. I asked if there was someone she could call. She said she was alone. I explained of my travels and shared that I am handicapped, 4 major back surgeries and was fearful about parking in an unlit lot...what if I fell? She said she'd call 911. Yes, that's true too. So finally she said I could park right by the front door for the evening. So I grab my stuff and went to my room, explaining that I have an electrical device for my back that I needed to use. 30 mins later later my phone rang and I was greeted with "Lights are on, come move your car". I explained that I was told I could stay there for the night, that I was already in bed hooked to a medical device. I was told to move my car or it would be towed. Yes, true again! But it gets better. So I did, I moved my car, asked at the front desk to be given the mgrs name and wen tot my room. The next morning, as I was leaving, I asked if the mgr was there, that I had a complaint. This person went on a rant, saying that I treated her staff rudely and needed to leave. I was dumbfounded. No apologies, nothing. So I gave her my politest F-U and headed to my car. This IDIOT actually called the police. On a handicapped, 60 yr old woman, crying that I was mean....I said you ain't seen mean B-! Hilton has responded appropriately, returning my $ and giving me points. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HAMPTON....RUN...MGMT ARE IDIOTS AND OWNERS DON'T CARE. read more

Hilton should be ashamed to have this hotel open. It is under construction but what a mess. Our room was newly renovated with chalk and mud all over. Makes me question who they hire. The front desk clerked said renovations were almost done but from the looks of the hotel inside and out I would disagree. Don't waste your money staying here. read more
