Had an excellent stay at this hotel! Stopped for the night while driving through town. The staff was friendly and hotel was very clean. The AC worked great and bed was comfy. It was in a great location right off the interstate next to a bass pro and Buc-ee's. Was located on a quiet road off the interstate with lots of trees. It was very quiet, which is a major plus in a hotel. They had a free breakfast and even had to go breakfast bags waiting at the front desk for checkout. Was a really nice touch.

I arrived at this lovely Hampton Inn after a nine-hour drive from southeastern Florida. This was the third Hampton Inn I stayed in during the course of a one week trip, and it was by far the nicest. Check-in was uneventful, and the front desk staff was very friendly. I was provided with complimentary waters as well. The room was very nice and clean, and plenty of towels were provided. My only complaint was that the toilet seat was very loose, but this was definitely not a huge issue. There is a Buc-ee's just down the street, and if you've never been to one of those, I HIGHLY recommend you stop in! WOW! AM breakfast was provided, and I was happy to see the dining room was open - no unreasonable covid restrictions were in place, and things almost felt "normal" here - how refreshing! The hotel staff exemplifies "southern hospitality", and I couldn't be more pleased with my stay! Thanks, Alabama, and thank you Hampton Inn!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel during the Magic City Classic weekend. Everything was clean, the service was great, the parking abundant, and the breakfast was solid. The workout room was decent and checking in/ out was seamless. Overall, this is a good choice for hotels in the Birmingham area.

Brand new hotel next to Bass Pro and the new shopping area. This hotel is very clean, modern, with a very nice fitness area, clean outdoor pool. The staff has been incredibly friendly. The free hot breakfast is the typical continental breakfast, the rates are incredibly low and the service has been wonderful.

Beautiful decor! Not your ordinary hotel!

I attempted to check in at the front desk and had my (vested) service dog with me. The clerk asked…read moreif the dog was a service dog, and I said yes. She then asked if the dog was a "certified, trained service dog". I told the clerk there was no such thing as a "certified" service dog, and that anyone with a certificate got it off of Amazon. I also told her the ADA does not require training, and that all that is required is for the person to have a qualified disability that the dog can mitigate. The line of interrogation was not consistent with what is allowed by the ADA. The only thing businesses are allowed to ask is, "Is your dog a service dog" and "What task does the Service Dog Perform"? The additional line of questioning agitated me and triggered my PTSD, causing me to start screaming obscenities. While the clerk proceeded to sign me in, I told her I did have another dog (a pet) with me. At which time she told me they do not allow pets. My husband found this hotel while searching for dog friendly hotels in the area. I am not sure why this place populated. Be mindful that this establishment is not dog friendly (pet or service dog). I am a disabled combat veteran. I trained my dog through a veteran service dog non profit organization. I am debating whether or not to report this establishment, since I did use profanity after the unauthorized line of questioning. They usually recommend that we remain calm.

Mediocre accommodations & indifferent, unfriendly family/staff. On our way to Ashville, NC for our…read moreannual girl's trip, we stopped off north of Birmingham at The Comfort Inn in Leeds. Our wall air conditioning unit had a combination of rust and what looked like whiteish gray mold all in the grate where the condensation gathers as the cooled air blows out. Scary. If it hadn't been 10:30 pm and we were already unpacked, I would've asked for another room. Then a shower with hardly any water pressure...;( neither of these things would've rated a review from me, but after the 'Continental' breakfast I decided to share my experience. The 4 of us made it down to the breakfast area at exactly 9:50am . Breakfast was offered until 10. We were the only people in the entire place. We made two waffles for the 4 of us. I got a banana and a bagel w cream cheese w coffee. That was all we chose to eat, we weren't starving. Another couple of ppl came in right behind us to make a waffle, etc. We finished eating and I decided I wanted to drink a little cranberry juice to follow my coffee and when I pushed the fountain drink button, nothing happened. Take in mind, we were still at our table finishing up & chit chatting about our trip, so we obviously weren't ready to leave the breakfast area yet. I looked at my watch and it was 10:10am. I asked the breakfast attendee lady that had been briskly walking around putting up the food if the machine was off and she stared at me and curtly in a strong voice said 'Yes Mamn'! The woman had TURNED OFF the juice machine so I couldn't get juice because 'Breakfast was over'! I thought it was so rude. Yes it was 10 minutes past 10, but what kind of service is that? I've been in the retail/service business all my life and would have never been that stingy and uninterested in a patron. Good Grief! To top it off, she started putting chairs up on the tables all around us right after that. The other couple was trying to rush and finish too. We felt so unwelcome by that point, we left.

Location is a little odd, you turn off into a forest and go deeper to reach the hotel but it's still close to the city highlights. Room is okay, nothing spectacular. You don't get a microwave or closet in the room so that's out of the question. I didn't know they charged a dog fee since it wasn't stated anywhere but it's $50 per day -- non-refundable so that was a surprise to me upon checkin. They also allow you to contactless check in but when you try to pull your reservation off their app, they can't even find it so that wasn't helpful. I will have to say the check in staff was very nice to me. He was very pleasant. Breakfast taste like dollar tree items and was very stale, seemed 1-2 days old. They pack it for you due to COVID. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. It's not bad, not nice either for the price I paid so I can say my experience was very mediocre.

I had to extend my stay another night thinking I was going to have the same rate as the first night. I was never informed the rate changed when I booked the extra night.
