This is a simple, clean, yet really nice place. I loved that right when you enter there is a bike that is on display from Barber Motorsports Park. Upon arriving, the lady saw me, but you could tell she was trying to avoid me. It wasn't until a line started forming that she helped me. She wasn't really nice and was doing the bare minimum. Wasn't trying to conversate or nothing. Got to the room, and it was nice and spacious. Didn't take any photos because we literally put our stuff down and went to Buc-ee's. Every time we passed through the front desk, no one said a thing or greeted us. There was only one guy I saw during our stay that smiled at us and told us to have a nice day!. That greeting alone makes a difference, you know? We stayed here for the BarberSmallBore event that was just down the street. Overall, the place is nice. There is plenty of parking and really nice comfortable rooms. I definitely got a good night sleep while I was here. The rooms were clean, no major wear and tear issues, or anything else. I'm sure we'll be back next year. I think the front desk needs to work on their attitude, especially when it was a packed weekend. read more

Really nice, very clean, quite comfortable inn, albeit a bit farther off I-65 than we would like. (Took us about 18 miles each way off our itinerary.) But the overall quality outshined the inconvenience. Ample parking. Great electronic key via iPhone App - worked flawlessly, both to enter building and our room. Courteous staff (although we had very little interaction. Nonetheless, when we did they were polite, respectful, and helpful. Room was more spacious than we anticipated, heat/ac controls were easy to adjust. (Will be nice when that is upgraded to the App as well.) TV controls worked from the App...another nice feature. Only drawback for us was the very, very soft mattress and extra-soft pillows. Some people might prefer those, but health conditions made this part of our stay one star less than perfect. Shower and bath, towels and linens were top-rate. Breakfast was much better than most hotel buffet offerings with nicely cooked eggs, savory sausage, home fries with peppers (delish), and several cold cereals and more. We needed to be close to the area for business and decided to make it a mini staycation. I was able to book the hotel seamlessly through the Hilton app. Check-in was a breeze. The room was nice for the reason of our stay. There is a mini fridge and microwave and the bed was very comfortable. They do offer breakfast and we enjoyed the options available each day. This hotel offers plenty of parking and not too far from several restaurants. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind booking again if needed. read more

Had an excellent stay at this hotel! Stopped for the night while driving through town. The staff was friendly and hotel was very clean. The AC worked great and bed was comfy. It was in a great location right off the interstate next to a bass pro and Buc-ee's. Was located on a quiet road off the interstate with lots of trees. It was very quiet, which is a major plus in a hotel. They had a free breakfast and even had to go breakfast bags waiting at the front desk for checkout. Was a really nice touch. read more

We tried to change our one night reservation by one day due to family emergency. The day was available but Hilton would not help us. We were told this after 3 phone calls (the first 2 were disconnected mid conversation) multiple transfers to different phone reps and about one hour total of time on the phone. Hilton does NOT truly value their customers...unless it's convenient for them. read more

I arrived at this lovely Hampton Inn after a nine-hour drive from southeastern Florida. This was the third Hampton Inn I stayed in during the course of a one week trip, and it was by far the nicest. Check-in was uneventful, and the front desk staff was very friendly. I was provided with complimentary waters as well. The room was very nice and clean, and plenty of towels were provided. My only complaint was that the toilet seat was very loose, but this was definitely not a huge issue. There is a Buc-ee's just down the street, and if you've never been to one of those, I HIGHLY recommend you stop in! WOW! AM breakfast was provided, and I was happy to see the dining room was open - no unreasonable covid restrictions were in place, and things almost felt "normal" here - how refreshing! Staff was great. That's where the positives end. The room was extremely small and the bed was rock hard. I woke up with back and shoulder pain. I wish I sorted reviews for the bed. Many say the same about the hardness of the beds. Went to breakfast to get some fruit and bananas were all brown and bruised. It's also a dead zone for ATT cell service. Not a problem if you hook up to their wi-fi, but if you're security conscious and don't want to go onto a public wi-fi network, you will have no internet access. Terrible experience. read more

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel during the Magic City Classic weekend. Everything was clean, the service was great, the parking abundant, and the breakfast was solid. Stayed here almost a week for work and no matter what time I come down- there is no coffee made and I have to wait for them to brew a whole new thing. Normally wouldn't complain- but this is daily. Brand new hotel next to Bass Pro and the new shopping area. This hotel is very clean, modern, with a very nice fitness area, clean outdoor pool. The staff has been incredibly friendly. Staff friendly, hotel very clean and found the room #231, near the end of a hall but facing side parking lot very quiet. I love Hampton Inn's...I'm sort of a Hampton Inn snob since that's about the only place I'll stay. It is definitely my first choice if traveling. This one is definitely clean and nice...the only reason I'm giving it a 3 is because it was the most uncomfortable bed of every Hampton I've ever stayed! I look forward to staying at a Hampton Inn because the beds are normally sooooo comfy, but I was super disappointed. This is a great Hampton, you can tell it's very new. Everything is very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. There is an outdoor pool, so if you plan on using the pool it's good to know its outside not indoors. There's not a ton of restaurants around the hotel at this exit, but off of exit 144 there is some good choices. The only thing that is a downfall that I can see, is a limited selection of TV channels. It's the NHL and NBA playoffs and they don't have either channels playing the games, but that's not that important. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area. read more

We just returned home from staying at the Hampton in Pell City AL and would be remiss to not comment on the exceptional Kitchen hostess staff, especially Rosita and Debra! Never in our extensive years of traveling have we encountered a hostess staff that went over and above, every day to perform their job. They made all feel welcomed, treated like queens/kings and served a great variety of food & beverages. While not thrilled with the actual room quality of hotel (needs serious cleaning & toilet seats were loose & while we asked for room service during our stay, it never happened), would go back in a heartbeat just to see Rosita & Debra again and be in their exceptional care. They were so happy, enjoyed what they were doing and had stellar communication and hostess/people skills! If we could give them a 100+ star, we would! Very clean hotel. The fitness center is spacious and has all of the basic equipment. There is a 6 plug outlet with 2 USB ports by the bed. That is great for someone like with a lot of electronic devices. The staff is very friendly. Not many restaurants around though. The only bad thing bout this hotel is my room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. I travel a lot and those are both necessary for me. read more

This hotel is located just off I-20 though you cannot see the hotel from the interstate. This makes it a very quiet stay and comfortable beds. I did not hear a single door slam or cars flying down the interstate despite several other guests staying at the location. We occupy several rooms and find everything about this property to be perfect for our family's enjoyment. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and clean. We like the convenience of being a short drive to the airport and we always make a point to visit the Barber Motorsports Museum and the Bass Pro Shop that are near the hotel. So happy that I ended up here! The location is pretty good - within a mile or so of the highway, a gas station and a shopping center. The other reviews are right: the front desk person was indeed very helpful, the room was clean and in order, and the wifi was easy to set up. I liked the amenities and after an 11 hour drive, the water pressure of the shower was much appreciated. Breakfast is served over a four hour span so no need to be up and out at 6am and the pool opens up by 9. I'd stay here again! read more
