This hotel is a bit of a hit and miss. The staff is quite nice, that's for sure, no complaints with them...except for when we needed to switch rooms. We unexpectedly had to extend our stay by one night (not a problem), so we made an additional reservation. It seems tho the staff did not communicate the change to the day staff. We were continually disturbed by cleaning staff who needed to clean our room and do their jobs...but we couldn't leave our room until the new room was ready (we had our cats with us.) It seems to me someone should have let the cleaners know to clean our 2nd room as soon as they could instead of in order. And as you can see by the paw prints from our cats jumping on top of the closet...they never dust up there (a big problem for people with dust allergies.) Our first room really wasn't bad, but the ac/heater was a little tricky to figure out and the fridge froze everything wr put into it (there was no way to adjust the temp.) Our second room (a more expensive room) only had the benefit of more space, that's it. And, it has the LOUDEST plumbing I've ever heard, seriously...there is something wrong with the plumbing in room 420, this room should not be sold until this is fixed. Their tvs also need upgrading to smart tvs. The channel guide is a pain to use and programming is limited. At least allow people to log in to their Netflix or prime. Lastly, if you are looking for a quiet location this isn't it. I've never heard so many sirens, not even in NYC. They are constant here and the traffic outside is very loud, these rooms really could use more soundproofing.

Ok so let me explain the * I received $50 back from Christopher after this horrible stay. I checked in and went to my room 510 Room smelled musty when I walked in but didn't think much about it until about 30 minutes later when I realized about 6 foot of the carpet by the ac was completely soaked. I put 5 towels down and within a few minutes they were completely soaked through as well. The poor lady @ the front desk was clearly upset about it but she didn't have anyone there that could help me out. I also discovered the fridge wasn't working as well so fast forward to 4:45 am when I go to get in the shower and discover that surprise the dang shower doesn't work either seriously what else could go wrong with rbis stay. I screwed around with the thing for 20 minutes and was finally able to get it to spray. Overall I was upset with my stay but I guess the $50 back helps but throughout the day today it really should've been a full refund. Listen I stay @ hotels 3-4 nights every week across the country & this was a first for me. To have so many things go wrong during a stay should never happen

In town for a show. Staying at a different place than we normally stay. Upon arrival check in was super fast and easy. The elevators are very fast thry arrived within seconds of hitting the button. I did my customary inspection of the room and it passed with flying colors. The remote, table tops and the bathroom are all very clean. We have a friend staying with us for the 1st thru the 3rd night and then we get the last night to ourselves. From what I've seen so far this is a much better place to stay at than where we're used to stay...the 'dazed inn'. Getting ready to go down for breakfast right now so I'll review that in a few. Back and they have just about everything. Waffles, cereal, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, hard boiled eggs, smoothies and fresh pressed juice...Yummy!! Back to the room for a shower...in the clean super white caulked shower/bathtub. Great water pressure and easy to use/reach shower head for short people. There are plenty of outlets for charging devices on the night stand. The desk area is small but perfect sized with bright lights. I wish the chair was leather or fake leather instead of cloth...gross. There is a microwave and fridge. The closet is nice sized with doors; ironing board, iron and extra blanket..and plenty of hangers. A little pricey for us but well worth the $125 a night with taxes. Would've given 5 stars, but I had to take a half a star for not having a fan in the bathroom and another half for no indoor pool and hot tub. Regardless we will be back again.

My room was infested with roaches. Got the heck out of there the next day. Roaches on the walls, in the bathroom and crawling on the other bed. One was crawling on my cup of juice on the night table. My coworker next door saw some in hers as well.

She is an experience all on her own! Her energy, her warmth, her fun personality, and the way she makes every guest feel like they're the most important person in the room is unmatched. She mixes a phenomenal drink, remembers everyone's favorites, and creates an atmosphere that makes you want to stay at the bar all night. Ashley is truly a gem -- the kind of employee every hotel dreams of having. I also want to give a huge shoutout to Eden at the front desk. He was incredibly kind, offered me water without me even asking, and went out of his way to guide me to a great spot for a late-night drink after bar hours. His thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality were so appreciated. Between Ashley's unforgettable service and Eden's kindness, this hotel made my trip exceptional. I will absolutely be staying here again -- and recommending it to everyone I know.

Truth be told - this is a Motel. Albeit, better than a Red Roof Inn, but still a motel. Pictures…read moreshared on their site show the main building where the lobby, coffee shop and restaurant/bar (The Foundry) is located, but the rooms are across a street in a large L shaped, two-story building. First the positives: The lobby and coffee shop are decorated in a fun, quirky way which creates a casual and relaxing environment. I've heard the decor described as being from a Wes Anderson movie. (I think that is an accurate description.) We would have our morning coffee over there relaxing on the comfy couches/chairs and had a surprisingly good breakfast burrito at the coffee shop. Location was good. Close to downtown, easy 10 minute walk to most things, and it was close to the North Oconee River Greenway walking trail on the other side of the river. Our room (on the second floor) was comfortable, clean, well appointed and quiet. The quietness may be due to the fact that we were possibly one of only two or three customers in the hotel those nights. Nonetheless, we slept well and have no complaints about the room. Now for some minor negatives: Staff, which comprised mostly college students, were less than friendly or attentive. At check-in, important information was not disclosed, like the optional housekeeping service, or that the restaurant/bar was not open (at all) during our stay. The $12 per day parking fee was excessive in my opinion. We were the only car in this lot - I feel like they could've waived the parking fee. And the $75 dog fee was a bit steep - but the room rate was low, so I guess it balanced out. We had to call for towels (and to replace a broken soap dispenser) repeatedly before someone finally showed up around 7 pm - I think they didn't have anyone working.... Anyhow - would I stay at this hotel again? Yes. My girlfriend probably wouldn't however. I think had it been warmer and had the Foundry been open, we probably would have had a better experience there. But, it is significantly cheaper that other hotels I looked at, and, frankly, you have to take that into consideration.

I booked on the Bonvoy app and tried to use points. I didn't have enough apparently, so I purchased $250.00 worth of points to round out a two night stay. The online reservation must have switched when I changed payment to the points. In any event, the front desk said I only had one night booked, but the amount of points I purchased to cover the second night of my reservation cost more than the cost of a night here. Even writing this review is a TOTAL waste of my time. They stole my points, refused to refund my card the $250.00 so I could simply pay for the $195.00 cost of the room. All my points were stolen, including the new ones I purchased AND they chopped one night of my reservation. The front desk had their hands tied by lousy Corporate policies, so the blame for this debacle rests solely on Marriott Corporate Office. I WILL NEVER STAY AT A MARRIOTT AGAIN! I WILL GLADLY SHARE THIS STORY WITH EVERY ONE OF MY PATIENTS WHO MENTIONS TRAVEL TO ME. I WILL INFORM EVERY PROFESSIONAL COLLEAGUE, FAMILY MEMBER AND FRIEND. I'M PRETTY SURE THEY WON'T WILLINGLY SIGN UP TO BE RIPPED OFF BY MARRIOTT. LAST TIME FOR ME!

They have a comfortable lobby and there is wonderful outdoor seating. The room is also very nice. It is clean and fresh and has many items you would like a room to have. However, you will immediately notice the train tracks right outside the window. During the day there are many people walking the tracks and if you are on the 2nd floor as I was, they can look straight into your room. The trains do not seem to be especially noisy, but they were loud enough to wake me up while sleeping. They offer a comfy bed, but the pillows are very uncomfortable as to be unusable. They say they offer breakfast, which is not complimentary, however it is a window where an attendant will make a coffee for you and heat up stale danishes and quiches which are completely inedible. The dinner meals are not worth the time or money spent. The best part of this hotel were the receptionists who cheerfully offered to bring our doordash meals to our room.
