We tried multiple times to rent a room and they said we could just use it until 10 pm. We shut the doors because we didn't want to be too loud. She ripped the door open to treat us like children stating we weren't "allowed" to shut the door even though that was never explained and that we were being "too loud". It was before 10 pm which we promptly left by 10 pm. Not how you should treat paying customers that actively tried to be understanding. Will be talking to the manager in the AM because this was disgusting. Also planning to make a formal complaint. That woman clearly has her own issues and believes she can take it out on whoever she feels. She went and hid in her office instead of letting any of us to talk to her. Poor customer service and that employee needs a course on how to treat people.

The Grand Stay is a smallish midwestern chain and there happened to be on in town so I grabbed a room for a few nights Small but nice lobby greets you as you walk in and the attentive fellow behind the desk got me squared away with a room in short order. I was up on the third floor so hopped the elevators and headed up. Elevator arrived and operated in the normal amount of time - so all good. Room was nicely appointed and clean. Bathroom was good sized, well lit and functional. Hot water was hot. There is a large indoor pool available, but I did not have the time to do anything there. They offer a free breakfast in the morning but to be honest, it was very basic. Coffee was decent however. The building is situated on the edge of a strip mall and there is an Italian sports bar there if you feel the need to grab something to eat and watch the game. Parking lot was a bit small and cramped, but got the job done. Overall a solid 3-star hotel and I would stay here again if in the area.

Hot tub was huge and plenty of tables and floats for going down the slide and lazey river. Lifeguards seemed attentive and reasonable only blew their whistles when they had to. Water was perfect temperature other parks we have been to it was too cold. No complaints at all with anything. Everyone we dealt with was very kind and helpful, they even offer underground heated parking which was great since we were in the middle of a snow storm. Will for sure go back! only complaint was part of the time there was only 1 working elevator, and our couch could use replacing in the room. Everything A+

It is easy to get here from I-94, you just head north on Laneaux, and take the right-turn onto Lamplight Drive, act like you are going to the D. Michael B's restaurant parking lot. It is a lot actually shared with the hotel. If you turn off too soon, you get into a the service road for the back of the outlet stores, but there's an exit at the northeastern end you can use to sneak on the hotel from the east. Getting back onto Labeaux is a bit tricky, as you navigate a number of parking lots. There are Exit signs posted at the intersections, so pay attention. You actually connect to Laketowne Drive, and take that to Labeaux. There's hot coffee and tea in the lobby, and they often have cookies out, which is nice. The staff was very friendly and check-in was very smooth. The insert in the card-key folder was pointed out to me, with the WiFi password, the hours for the pool, and breakfast, and so on. The room was clean and comfortable, we didn't need to adjust the temperature. Some of the furnishings had seen use, but were still in good condition; it didn't have a brand-new feel to it. The chief challenges were the toilet paper dispensers in the bathroom are a bit of a stretch to reach from the toilet, and the electrical receptacle on the desk lamp had a broken-off prong stuck in it. When I mentioned the prong to the front desk, they wrote up a ticket on it right away. My daughter had the breakfast, and really enjoyed the pastries. It looked like a good selection, with eggs, sausage, bagels, bread, cold cereal, juices, waffles, and yogurt (I think). A good choice for a free breakfast. I'd eaten leftovers from dinner the night before, heated up in the microwave in the room. It was very powerful, and didn't need much time to do this. The refrigerator was good, if a bit small, and two complimentary bottles of water were in the room. I'd definitely stay here again, it was relaxing and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the other end of the parking lot was good for dinner. If you get leftovers there, ask them for plastic cutlery, though!

I would love to give five stars but 1: the pillows were awful 2: the first room we were placed in had a foul odor that did not dissipate. I called the desk to ask them to come check for a gas leak. The young lady that came up said yes there was an odd smell but she didn't want to offend us. The insinuation was that we created the odor when I clearly expressed the smell hit us when we first opened the door.

Small selection but for what they had it was fresh and delicious, pool was always busy so we couldn't really get in but I bet it would've been nice.

My room was nice, but I was surprised to see how wrinkled all of the bedding was. There was also debris on the floor. The bathroom was fully stocked and had cutely folded towels. My window faced the freeway, which was moderately noisy, but the high quality draperies helped block some of that out. The shower was clean and had great water pressure. The bed was surprisingly uncomfortable and the pillows were all different sizes and not comfortable whatsoever. The room had a Keurig, refrigerator, microwave, and a nice selection of coffee and tea. It was quiet during my stay, with the exception of checking in. I did not utilize any of the amenities. I'd stay here again but would probably ask for additional/different pillows next time.
