Stains on couch in bedroom. Very obvious what type of stain it is, and in plain sight
    Tony D.

I love the Hilton brand, stay at Hiltons all the time and this is the 1st negative review of a Hilton. Checkin agent was very nice and friendly, that is the only positive I can say about my stay. I get to my room and immediately notice stains on the couch in my room. Look at the picture and it is very obvious what type of stain this is... I reported it to the front desk and am told management would be notified. Did not even offer to switch me to another room. So I think that the next morning they will remove the furniture and or management will call me, appologize offer me a different room. Neither happened. Now about the breakfast....Like so may other reviews said, no waffles during my stay. I asked the employee that works the breakfast about waffles and she snapped back that the machine was broken.... Get there for breakfast early because once items run out, good luck. There are two pots of coffee (and one decaf). Both regular coffes were competely empty. When I told the emploee, she snaps back GIVE ME A MINUTE PLEASE. 15 Minutes later I was finally able to serve myself a coffee. The trash can in the breakfast room was completely overflowing both mornings I went there. The 3rd morning. I did not even have breakfast in the hotel after my experience the previous mornings. Lastly, I stayed 2 nights, 3 days, houskeeping nevwe cleaned the room.

The lady behind the counter is the receptionist that was very rude.

side note).... The lady in the red shirt was there getting a check for her daughter that the lady behind the desk head shorted her $230 and she was asking where it was her daughter's money at......Ok...get ready for this ride. I booked a room here for a three day stay through Priceline before arriving. I tried calling several times no one ever answered the phone. I walked in and informed her that I booked a room for three nights through Priceline. She proceeds to tell me it was $100 deposit. I gave her my credit card and she charged me $100 Plus another 280 for the three nights. I didn't know I was charged until after I told her I did not want the rooms because after I saw how they looked and the way the hotel smelled was horrendous. The sheets were dirty. The mirrors were smeared. There was no chair in my room. The smell was unbearable. As I was asking for it, my money back the customers before me told me that they asked for their money back as well, and she gave them the same attitude and told them that she was not going to give them a receipt as well. The lady was very upset that I wanted my money back so she told me she would refund my hundred dollars and I could go. I asked her for a receipt and she proceeded to tell me no she doesn't have a receipt and tells me to just go. I informed her I need proof that you refunded me my money but she still insisted that I just go. An hour later I got a notification that I was charged $230 for that same room that I had already paid for I tried contacting the office again nobody answers Priceline tried to call and nobody answered for them as well. I would not recommend staying here that lady at the Front desk was rude and made it very unpleasant and unsafe I felt for me to be there.

I stayed at this hotel in the past because of its location. It is $150 a night for a two queen bed room. They did accommodate us by allowing us to check in early as our room was already available and they gave us one hour extra check out time due to the late arrival of our car to the airport. The beds are very comfortable but there was a bug crawling around on the coverlet when we arrived. I did not see another one and I don't know what it was. a little green shiny insect. it was definitely not a bedbug. The place is pretty dingy and beat up, carpet, a lot of marks on the walls, some stuff under the bathroom sink that could be scrubbed out, the tub was filthy so our 4-year-old was not able to take a bath the entire time. The second day we did tell the maid that we didn't require beds being made up but we would like towels and she indicated she would get them to me soon. that was at 9:00 a.m. at 4:00 p.m. I went to the hallway and the maids were all gone. I called the desk for towels and toilet paper as we were out by that time and was told I had to come down and get it which I did and it was ready for me however we had three people in the room and she provided one towel so of course I had to ask for two more. The people there are nice, they're friendly, they're helpful at some points and unhelpful at others. We had to wait 15 minutes to get checked in and finally a man from The breakfast room came out and asked if we had been helped and he went to find somebody to help us. I think they were on a coffee break. The phone was ringing and we actually did call standing at the counter to see if they would pick up but they did not. Overall it was comfortable and quiet. there was not much noise. I think a lot of workers stay there who are in town for jobs such as construction etc. I know I will end up staying here again because it's close to my family's homes but it seems to be getting more run down all the time. They do provide a free breakfast with hot foods and cold foods so that was very welcome and we enjoyed that both mornings.

Stayed at this Hampton Inn & Suites on September 15, 2021 to visit SO's family. Check-In: The process was quick and easy. The staff was friendly, didn't encounter any issues. Rooms: Decent Size. Couches are a little gross as they do have stains, as expected over time and with all hotels. I think all hotel rooms should have leather couches and seats so it can easily be wiped down. I bring Clorox wipes with me when I travel so I wipe all surfaces down including the TV remote. They did provide two sanitizing wipes for you in the room, which was a nice gesture. Bathroom: Very Spacious but the shower pan was showing it's wear. Faucet was placed in an angle so it was harder to use. I felt it was placed there for aesthetics. Wish there was more pressure on the water from that faucet. Housekeeping: I asked for no housekeeping since we were only there for 2 nights. I don't even think hotels are doing housekeeping unless you stay 5 days or longer due to Covid. I did ask for a set of new towels the next day and they provided it to me at the front desk. Breakfast: They had hot breakfast buffet; waffle bar, cereal bar, hot oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, omelets, They also had To-Go breakfast in a bag which included a fruit, muffin, breakfast bar and a bottled water. They do provide free bottled water at the front desk if you ask. That's a plus. Byway Brewery is right across the street which we didn't get a chance to try. There is also a Buffalo Wild Wing down the same street. Cracker Barrel and Wendy's is across the main road. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again.

Rooms are spacious and clean. I didn't get to try their breakfast sadly but their free WiFi is pretty good. I was very impressed when we first walked in the room how much space there was. I do think the price was a tad high, if it was cheaper I'd probably be raving about value but over 450$ for only two nights is just not that good of a deal. Overall would stay again.

Now usually, I think my rating would be lower for the quality of the hotel, but after spending 2 days in the Hammond area and looking around the other places, this is probably considered "high-end" in this area. The room had some sort of a musky smell when we first came in, but we got used to it after the first day. The rooms were surprisingly large and the bathroom was clean, so that's really all I can ask for. The breakfast in the morning is nothing too special, just cereal, varieties of bagels, muffins, oats, yogurt, and fruit. I wouldn't mind staying here again if I were to visit the Chicago area if I wanted to be close to the casino.

A low toilet in my handicapped room. A tiny shower matt. No shower chair ( I had to ask) So luckily I close to my apartment. So I brought my own toilet ring booster seat, my own shower matt and a step to aid getting in and out of the shower. The floor in the bathroom is an ice skating rink when wet Dangerous especially in a handicapped room. So for over a.$ 100 ++ a night? You get an old worn motel. Our first room the beds were completely broken down and when you turned over the extent noise of the springs kept us up throughout the night. Second room the toilet was continuously running and observed the carpet under the a/c unit was soaked from water dripping onto it. Yes both items were corrected. Went for breakfast and observed a large bug crawling all over the breakfast area and when I brought it to their attention, they stated it's only a large ant. I don't care if it's a small ant, roach or fly it was totally disgusting. I was threatened to be charged $75 stating I had not had a service dog that, he was an emotional support animal. I advised them, I have a letter documented by a licensed provider stating he is a medically necessary service dog. Lastly getting stuck in the elevator after pushing the button for help, screaming and banging on the door upon the door, finally opening and a employee standing outside, tells me what's the problem I pushed the button and it opened OK it might've opened on the outside, but it did not on the inside. She then asked me are you sure you didn't press a button absolutely I pressed number one to go to the ground floor. Upon coming up to our room and having three lung surgeries, the whole floor smelled like marijuana called Schererville Police Department and two officers and all of a sudden, a director of sales showed up and yes, they did observe the smell. Also observed a family spraying Febreze in the hallway. Would I ever recommend staying here again absolutely not.

So the manger had to replace it. Curtains were inoperable, so we could not roll them up to let the sun shine in the room. Then there was no shower soap in the container in the shower. So the manager had to get that replaced. The shower floor was too slippery for handicapped people. Had to be very careful not to fall. Soap dispensers are behind the shower bench seat. So if you're sitting in the shower you have to get up and turn around to get the shower soap. How dumb is that set up for handicapped people. Not to mention, the water never got hot. We needed to find nearby hotel accommodations for ourselves and our guests so in January, 2022, we started looking at hotels. I checked several hotels and I was getting discouraged because the hotels I looked into either weren't very accommodating, rooms were going to be renovated and I wouldn't know what they would look like months later for when the wedding was or sales staff just didn't want to contact me/call back as they stated they would for such an important event. Our wedding venue recommended a few hotels and this was one of them. I made an appointment on 1/27/22 to see Kim Lenburg who is the Sales Manager there. She was very friendly on the phone and when I got there and met her, I instantly had a good feeling. She was informative, kind and answered whatever questions that I had. She also gave me a cell phone number should I have any other questions/concerns. This nice venue offers a complimentary shuttle van to the wedding for our hotel guests if a certain number of rooms are reserved. The price of the rooms are discounted when getting a room block and were a very good price. My fiance and I were also offered a nice perk if we stayed there on our wedding night so that got me really excited. This hotel had the best offerings (including free breakfast) and when I left the hotel, I knew this would be the best choice for us and our guests. Our wedding was 4th of July weekend, 2022. Between January and July, I had questions and would periodically reach out to Kim. She always responded very quickly which, when you are wedding planning, is a godsend and I really appreciated her promptness. Her professionalism was stellar. When our wedding day came, Kim wasn't there that weekend but assured that her staff would take good care of us and they did just that. We were in room #413 which was nice until we started having problems with opening the door. We reported it, staff came right away to see about it and we were moved to another room with apologies. The new room was just fine and we enjoyed our stay immensely and will be back. A special thanks to Kim - we stayed a few weekdays after the wedding and while eating breakfast in their kitchen area, Kim made a special visit to our table to make sure we were enjoying our stay which really made us feel good. I highly recommend this hotel. Clean, beautiful rooms with no noise issues. Breakfast was pretty decent and fresh lemonade in the lobby area should you need a quick refreshment. We definitely will be back as this hotel has a special remembrance for us. Thanks Fairfield, you came through for us in a big way! A+++!

She is an amazing human and makes us feel comfortable and welcomed to the casino. Also, please recognize Danielle at the brothers burger/late night sportsbet bar. She is awesome.
