Had a great stay at this Hampton Inn! I was in the area for work and it was my first time in Denton. Truly a lovely area and this Hampton was in a convenient location. When I was checked in, the person at the front desk forgot to give me my two complimentary waters as a Hilton Honors member, but I only remembered after checking in and didn't bother to go back and ask. The room I had was on the first floor, and was super spacious and clean. The bathroom was mostly clean. I noticed a hair on the wall of the shower and another in the sink but everything else was spotless. The fitness center was small but clean as well. Breakfast got a little crowded around 8:30 (hours are 6-9am on weekends) but the standard Hampton Inn options were all available. Overall, one of the better Hampton Inns I've stayed at! Always appreciate it when hotels make sure rooms are turned over and cleaned thoroughly for the next guest. read more

I booked a room for my sister and husband to attend Celebration of life in Denton, Tx. I'm current Hilton Honor member and got them a good rate. They were up from Houstion. They checked in and then attended the service. Both got to room about 11pm. Room had bad oder. My sister and husband laid on bed without pulling sheets back. To tired. Then later about 1pm both pulled sheets back. Whoa!! A big spot of blood! Sheets were changed about 3pm. No sleep. Wanted refund. Still waiting after 10days read more

Room was full of big black crickets. Under in closet, under desks, by fridge, by bed. my reservation was for 3 nights, 4 days. I stayed only one night because of the bugs, and they refused to refund me the remaining nights even tho I checked out. As you know this hotel is not cheap. read more

I enjoyed my stay here. It was clean, super spacious king suite with room to spare. It had a sofa, fridge, wet bar area. Inly thing I didn't care for was thr barn door sliding bathroom door. The tub had a little more than wear and tear as most of the enamel was gone. But I expect a little more wear and tear at a space near the college. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Terrible hotel. Do like feeling like you just booked at your parents house? Want the front desk to call you while you're literally driving to the hotel & then tell you they called you twice, just like mom? Well this is the hotel for you! I was totally fine changing hotel rooms to accommodate my pet. But it was a bit annoying when the front desk got snippy with me for asking for my Gold membership snack and water. I worked hotel front desk for years while in college; can't believe what's considered good service nowadays. Nice check in, didn't realize they were renovating. I had a migraine and there was a continuous hammer in the room Next to mine. Beds horrible, it was like sleeping on a boxspring. The pillows were on the small size most like travel pillows. And of course I forgot my shampoo, but I figured it was no big deal since they provide that in the rooms, but on the 3rd day of my stay it was already empty..ugh. We stayed at this location for my nieces wedding and it was perfect! MANY people attending the wedding stayed here which made it more fun as their meeting room was secured so we could gather to eat and visit. The staff was working hard upon our arrival (including the owner) to make sure everything was ready. It appears they have recently remodeled as the entire property was spotless. Verdi, Steve, and Steven deserve a BIG shoutout as they were super friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Appreciated the kindness and wonderful hospitality from their amazing staff. Not a bad place to stay. The rooms are big, there's free breakfast, wifi, a gym and pool, and you can do laundry if you have quarters. However it was extremely humid in our room and smelled BAD. The bed smelled strongly of a "person" scent, and the room and bathroom smelled like feet. Would not come back here most likely. read more

First night of a 4 night stay and already disappointed in this place. When we booked we wanted an early check in. That didn't happen. So we waited around for the room to be ready. Then the computers went down. The atmosphere is dated and the hallways smell "damp". The plus side is the room was clean (thank goodness) but the design of the room specifically the bathroom makes it extremely difficult to maneuver in there. I have concerns of morning construction that is happening around the hotel at this time. It's nice to see a breakfast still being offered. Hopefully it's something decent than microwave breakfast burritos. Stopped by the front desk to ask for a fork and a spoon- got an annoyed employee who just told me she didn't have any forks or spoons. Not a good start Hampton. 2 stars. read more

We accidentally got in around 2pm on Thanksgiving day. We were cautious and left early thinking traffic could be horrible on a holiday weekend. We tried to check in early and they were still cleaning the rooms, all good;however,when we brought all of our luggage in and waited in front of the front desk to check in at 3pm we became invisible. A man came in at 3pm and walked straight up and got a room, he wasn't aware we were waiting. After he checked in I asked the lady at the front desk if we could check in, since we've been waiting since 2pm. She responded "oh you ready now?" The obvious answer is yes since we were sitting in front of her for an hour. We got a room and it was alright, bring a fan if you sleep hot. They AC doesn't go below 76. The breakfast good and I had multiple other run ins with other front desk employees and they were super accommodating. I think we will take a break from Hampton Inn's for a while. read more

I loved all three nights here. Room was clean and updated. Breakfast was decent. Family loves the waffles.Service was very good. I normally stay at Hilton Garden Inn however in Texas I found the rooms not updated or very clean and for $200 I didn't even get breakfast. At the Hampton Inn I felt better like I was as getting more bang for my buck at only125 a night. FYI Room 323 was a HUGE 2 queen room with lots of windows! read more

As of May 2022 there are major renovations underway. Didn't affect my room but just be aware. Stay was a fine. When I went to my room (auto check in with electronic key) it had not been cleaned. Great hotel! Not much to look at from the outside and the pool was still 'closed due to COVID'.. but they gave us an bigger room when we checked on that was super spacious and comfortable. The hot breakfast every morning was delicious and all the options surprising. My favorite is the make-your-own waffle station. It was better than any restaurant waffle I've had. While this hotel looks nice on the outside and they are trying to keep it looking nice, it's not worth the stay. First night I woke up to a bug in my bed. We asked for daily room cleanings and was forgotten two of the three after being assured from desk clerk we'd have them daily until we left. We went to call front desk only to find the hotel phone had NO cord. My husband called from cell phone and desk clerk argued with him about the cleanings then hung up on him. The cleaning lady complained to me she has only 1 other cleaning person and they have too much work to do. The shower curtain had stuff on it, asked for it to be replaced and wasn't done for two days. I am not super picky but do have certain expectations, and none were met. Move over to the Homewood Suites on shore drive. Much better! Oh and pool was shut down and it was 99°. read more

Had the most bizarre hotel experience ever here. I checked in, went up to my room, and then went to use the bathroom. I lifted the lid of the toilet and there was toilet paper just sitting in the water. Ok, maybe the cleaning crew didn't flush after cleaning. I flushed, but the water just swirled and didn't go down. After trying to flush for a few more minutes, I called the front desk to tell them that the toilet in my room wasn't flushing. The girl at the front desk said "Ok, ma'am, we have at the front desk a plunger! If you want to just come down and get it!" Excuse me? I clarified that I had not used the toilet yet so I did not cause a clog. She replied with " I don't understand, how do you expect to get the clog out without a plunger? ". I said, "So, you want me to come down and get a plunger to plunge a toilet that I have not even used yet." She said, "Yes, ma'am, as you saw I'm down here by myself so if you want a functional toilet in your room that is what you will have to do. " I asked for another room, and was told they were sold out.she also put me on hold for 20 minutes while she "tried to find a manager" even though she had said she was alone? I can honestly say that I've never been told to do my own repairs in a hotel before. read more

:-\ I've been here twice already.. the gal at my work has sent me to the same hotel every year that I make this business trek... The second time, I was none too happy... (they were repairing the elevators and one wing of the hotel. Hampton-Inn & Suites... the name implies something rather nice.. or at least standard. I don't find it all that standard... though its not a dump by any means. It's always muggy outside when I do this trip and I "feel" it indoors. Each time something was being repaired... and that adds to my inconvenience or lack of interest for this particular accomodation. I like that you get the continental breakfast (all you can eat) FREE in the buffet room.. I like that I can make my own waffles in the shape of Texas... charming.... I like the easy parking and non-plussed attitude of the young gal at the desk... and I like the FREE WiFi. But I'm a busy guy who needs rest and relaxation... Its the sort of place you ask for extra sheets... so that you can sit on the chenille sofa.. I can only imagine how many nekked fat asses have sat on that sofa full of thoughts of nothing good. This year I'm trying a different Hotel... and I hope they have a make your own waffle in the shape of Texas. Like I said.. I like that. Though the Hampton-Inn & Suites is reasonably priced, and came as one of the hotels suggested by the business I visit annually, I'm not impressed at all. 2 Woofs.... Meh.. I've experienced better... Slighly nicer than the average Hampton Inn, this property pleasantly surprised me. The internet, breakfast, and room were as expected, but the service exceeded my expectations. The clerks remembered my name and provided assistance with navigation and dining while I was in town. I had business at University of North Texas, and it only took me about 5 minutes to get there from this hotel, so if you're planning a college visit, this might be a good place to stay. I suspect that the UNT hospitality program has a positive influence on this place, as it looked much newer than its actual age (7 years). The Courtyard Marriott is definitely more updated and has a better gym, but it's $40 more expensive. Bottom line--for $100, you could definitely do worse. read more

At first we thought this was going to a great place to stay, but the longer we're here, the worse it gets. The "included" breakfast was minimal and undercooked. Then, as I was taking my morning shower, the faucet flew off the pipe, nearly hitting me in the knee. Simple fix, tighten one set screw. I turned it in the front desk and the woman there took my room number and said she'd get it fixed. We return from our day's activities to find that its not fixed at all. I again go to the front desk, and they say someone would come fix it in the morning. 9:00am arrives and no one has done anything. I call to the front desk and ask what's up. She says - with more attitude than I'd like - that they couldn't get anyone to fix it but they would look at finding us another room and call us back. She calls back and tells my wife that they can move us to another room in 15-20 minutes. Pack up all our stuff for a 3 day stay and move because they can't turn one set screw... When my wife tells her, in a calmer than I would have been voice, that we need to leave in 20 minutes, she accuses my wife of yelling at her and hangs up on my wife. I then proceed to the front desk, passing a cart full of the appropriate tools to fix the problem and the worker who she told about the problem yesterday. I ask why she lied about having the tools when they were clearly in the cart. I ask for the manager and they refuse to call her saying she doesn't work today. She just keeps saying stop yelling at me. Oh I have not yet begun to yell at you... Don't stay here. It sucks. Food sucks. Beds suck. Service incredibly sucks. 0/10 read more

My father stays here every time he comes to visit, so that says something about the place. They are always friendly and always quick with assistance. Breakfast is usually pretty good here with plenty of options and there is internet access that is always available and a pretty decent pool out back when it's not too hot. read more

I am giving this Hotel a 1 because I cannot give them a minus 10. my stay at this hotel has been a nightmare since day one. When we arrived at the Hotel on Sunday July 11 at 4:00 PM we were told there was no clean room available .When I asked if check in was at 4:00PM I was told only if there was a clean room and usually housekeeping finished cleaning the rooms at 5:00 PM. I finally got an "upgraded room" a suite at 5:30 PM, when we walked into the room the beds were made but I pillows has no pillow cases, no towels in the room and bathroom and sinks were not cleaned. Front desk gave me some towels and I cleaned the bathroom the best I could as well as the sink, The following morning the housekeeper came into the room and clean the room. That same day at 6:00PM the air conditioning stopped working - there was no one who could check the air and they decided to move out of room - but as they didn't have double rooms available they gave me two rooms with king beds. On Tuesday morning the manager of the hotel calls me to tell me that they already have the room that I reserve available for me to pack again and move to that room and that because of the inconvenience they were going to give me a free day. She told me she was going to give me room 221 but when I went to get the keys that room was no longer available and they gave me the 227. When we walked into room 227 it was warm and looks like the AC was not working. I called the front desk to let them know and I was told that the temperature outside was on 99 and that maybe when the sun goes down the room would cool down. The thermostat in the room at the time we walked in was on 72 and it went up to 79. Thanks to Jesus, one of the housekeepers and Tony that we found them on the hall and explained to them what was going on, they came to the room and checked the AC and fixed the AC - This is my first and last time that I stayed at a Hampton Inn. read more

I travel regularly for business, maybe I'm getting picky. This is one of the noisier Hampton Inn & Suites I've stayed at. I sit here typing this from my room with a connector door in it, hearing everything in the adjoining room...not to mention the gap under the door with all the light from their room filtering into mine. It's creepy. I hope the neighboring hotel mate isn't a rapist or ax murderer...Anyway, I also hear everything in the room behind me, with no connector door, I heard that person use the microwave. Don't expect a lot of privacy in these rooms. Room is clean, no weird odors in the room, hallways, or lobby area, no dirty carpets or hallways. Mini fridge, microwave are well kept and working. I bring my own breakfast, so I can't vouch for the food. They have a well stocked snacks-for-purchase area. Gym was small, older equipment, same with laundry room. I'd give it 0 stars for noise/privacy/feeling of security. I'd give it 3 stars for cleanliness/comfort. read more

Nice, spotlessly clean hotel. We have enjoyed staying here for four years while my son was going to UNT. Be sure to ask for UNT family rate, it is better than the AAA rate. Once I left a favorite nightgown behind and the front desk clerk took the trouble to find it in housekeeping and mail it to me.
