What a blast! I had no idea this outfitter existed until last night - when our friend Holly rented…read moreit for her birthday party for s 2 hour tour (think the theme song for Gilligan's Island). The owners were so nice, they actually gave us an extra 30 minutes for a 2.5 hour tour. Yes, there is a toilet on board. Yes, there is a bar. No hard liquor but they have beer, wine, hard ciders and a wine made to taste like tequila for their version of a margarita. We got the watermelon ones. Mmm... Yes, you can bring your own food n board. Our birthday girl brought a stack of pizzas, chips, dips and a birthday cake. Yes, they get you as up close to the falls as legally allowed. Yes, there are plenty of tables and comfy sofa style benches to relax on while you take in the sunset. Yes, they have bluetooth speakers so you can all jam to your favorite tunes. Yes, they provide a karaoke machine so your party can garble the 2 whole hours if they want. I really can't think of a downside except that the birthday girl kept saying that she wished the night wouldn't end. Thanks to the great staff who kept the drinks flowing and go us off on time and gave us a little extra time to enjoy ourselves.

The crew was really friendly and attentive, and the price of drinks was surprisingly cheap. The host of the evening did a great job toeing the line between giving facts/playing tour guide and letting people enjoy themselves. It was a good mix of interesting info without being overbearing. The tour goes south down way to Dunthorpe, turns and comes back on the far side of Ross Island, then goes up past the Fremont Bridge for unobstructed sunset views before heading back to dock. The price for the tour was right -- it was cheaper than the Portland Spirit's dinner cruise (the only tour they offer for sunset) and longer than their late afternoon happy hour cruise. Overall I recommend Island Style for a fun and easy tour of the Willamette!

We enjoyed our day on the boat we rented, and the boat was as advertised, but dealing with the…read morebusiness itself was/is extremely challenging. First, the phone number on their website connects to nobody, so getting questions answered before our rental was very difficult, although we did eventually make contact with Gabriel the day of our rental after he texted me from a different number. But the real challenge was getting our security deposit back. The deposit was $500 and supposed to cover the fuel we used, and any damage to the boat. The boat was returned in perfect condition, and we only used 1/3 of a tank of gas, which even by the most generous calculations would have been $30-40 of fuel for that tank size. It took almost two weeks, and at least two phone calls, to get the deposit, and we only received $400. We contacted Gabriel and he said it must have been an error and would get the remainder refunded to us. Another week and no refund. I called him again, and he said he would take care of it, but again no refund after another full week. As of today I still have not received the additional $60+ dollars refund. I have serious questions if we would have received any of the $500 had I not pestered them about it after the first week, and have basically given up on receiving the portion that was overcharged for the fuel. At this point I'm left to assume this is just a way for them to pad their profit margin, and they rely on people giving up on the refund out of frustration, or just forgetting about it outright. If my assumption is inaccurate, then I can only advise Gabriel to improve his business processes, because its turned what was a fun day on the river into a massive headache trying to get a simple refund of our security/gas deposit.

Thank you, Wildwood Adventures, for providing a great time and a excellent guide (Patrick). I went…read moreon the all-day tour with tours to the falls and Mount Hood. This was worth the money and time especially with the great tour guide.

Absolute best tour company to go with if you want to see Oregon coast and waterfalls…read more Booking online was easy and they answered plenty of my questions via phone/Ms. Cheyenne was awesome with being so kind and pleasant to speak with. The prices for the waterfalls and Oregon coast tours were so reasonable. On Memorial Day 2025, I went on the Oregon Coast tour. Initially, the weather was overcast skies and we ran into light rain on the way, but it cleared up nicely. I surprisingly met fellow Texans on the tour with me, they were from my favorite part of TX too (West). We instantly connected when I told them I used to live in Lubbock and was a Red Raider! The other people on the tour was delightful too. For our first tour, we had guide, David. David was very knowledgeable about the trees. He talked about them a lot. He knew small details about the flowers, history of the roads, the state park, and just about everything, but especially trees. I almost thought he got a degree in Forestry to be that keen in the subject. David gave ample amount of time to shop/eat in Seaside, OR. I didn't eat since I had a huge breakfast and had no idea what restaurants were vegan. The following day, I went on the waterfalls tour with guide, Joe. Joe was AH-MAZING!!! He was so funny and made an accommodation to allow me to charge my phone along the way (since I did a full day of exploring Portland by foot and forgot to pack my charger). I understood my 90s references too which was cool. Joe was informative about the history, how the falls got their names, he identified goldstar lichen (even gave me the correct pronunciation of the word), and allowed plenty of time to explore. I loved how kind and helpful he was each time assisting an elderly disabled lady to and from the van. These tour guides don't have to be from Portland or even Oregon to provide a 5-star, A+, and solid in the bag tour of the most stunning attractions. I had a tour company, Sea to Summit/guide Josh (partial native Josh) tell me not to trust Wildwood for that very reason, but get this, Sea to Summit couldn't even find a party of four or more to pair me with on the waterfalls tour. They tried to contract with EcoTours with Jeff and again, not even was he able to get people to go. They kept telling me to wait and call back in five days, but they never had anything! Now what does that tell you?! Trust Wildwood Adventures, you won't be disappointed and you'll get your monies worth! As a solo traveler, I felt safe, comfortable, and enjoyed myself immensely. I met friends on this tour (that I spotted yesterday at Pittock Mansion; they called me by name). Thank you Wildwood Adventures for being so dependable!!
