The menu descriptions are in German, but the dish names were all English, I didn't ask if they had an English menu because I didn't need it. I opted for a beer, water, and pick-two BBQ... ribs, wings, and fries all sounded good and that one hits them all. The waitress asked if I wanted mayonnaise which gave me the opportunity to decline and ask for ketchup. I'm not exactly sure which stout I got, but it was smooth. The food came out shortly and was a generous portion and they put the whole bottle of ketchup on the table for my fries! Crispy chicken wings were the whole wing like you'd get in fried chicken but simply fried (no breading, no sauce, no seasoning- crispy skin). Ribs were tender enough, crispy on the outside with some sauce squeezed ontop. The fries are thick cut and were the star of the dish. Overall there's nothing wrong with the food or service and it satisfies the craving for this type of food. But, it's no replacement for barbecue from the bayou in the US.

Unless you are an experienced beer drinker, I would recommend sticking to the local brews like Herforder Pils because the stout has a very unique and probably acquired taste. People here are super friendly and helpful, I feel welcome every time I step into the doorstep. They change menu frequently, but check on the website for special offer ! Many vegetarian dishes are offered here as well. Every three months, they offer special set dinner (35 euro), 4 courses + 1 glass of wine + one glass of water and plus one glass of gin tonic. Super good deal ! I've been here about 5 times now, non of any visits had let me down! I love their selection of gins, and you can easily tell they are serious about their Gins ! ( all the gin tonic has different kind of ingredients to go with... plus the ice cube is made from pure tonic water!) Give it a try ! NOTE: This "Mexican" restaurant doesn't serve tacos. The food was a doctored up way of presenting German-style entrees with something approaching Mexican flair... if you are feeling generous. For example, they have a series of "Baked Potato" topped with different meats, pick between beef or chicken or vegetarian. I would just called that a loaded baked potato in the States. They have a series of burgers, with barely even a Tex-Mex twist. They offer steak, enchiladas, and burritos, which are basically wraps which you can pull off with bland stuffings and underwhelming sauces. Don't be looking for chipotle, fresh jalapenos, salsa picante, or crema, or even proper pulled adobo pork. Don't be looking for melted cheese, or for spicy pork stews. Their spicy sauce was good ol' Louisiana Tabasco. On top of it all, the kitchen was slow and haphazard. We waited a good 45 minutes for a Yucatan salad (it had guacamole in it!) and a baked potato entree. I'm just going to leave it as a disappointing food destination but standard polite and professional service. Colorful bar and decent place to get a drink.
