The DJK Sportbad offers you three stainless-steel clad basins: A big non-swimmers basin (25 m x 15), a big swimmers basin of (50 x 16m) without shallow ends and a diving pool (3,80m depth) with a 3 Meter & 1 Meter diving board. There is also a small basin for toddlers with a canape for sun-protection. There is also a big lawn with some trees for sun-bathing and chilling, two volleyball-pitches as well as ping pong tables and a small Playground for kids. They also have a snack bar that wasn't open when I was there early in the morning.
The pool is handicapped-accessible. The Entrance fee at 4€ is very reasonable for what is offered. Staff was very friendly, changing rooms and showers were cleaned regularly when I was there. The whole Pool is very well maintained.
Practical info: There are not many parking-spaces out front for cars and even those for bikes will be full quite early in the day. You need 1€ pieces for the lockers.
Downsides? It´s no secret that this is a great pool and on sunny (or just warm) days you can count on the Djk Sportbad being packed. And when I say packed, I mean it. It can get really crowded even early in the morning (then mostly in the swimmers-basin - one of the few 50 Meter Basins in the area).
