There is one basin of 25 Meters length for swimming, a deep basin with diving boards (3 and 1 Meter) and small basin for children and non-swimmers. Showers, dressing rooms and the pool hall were clean when I was there. Building wise, there are a couple of corners where you can see some rust oozing out of the concrete and stuff that shows the age of this swimming pool. It's generally not a charming place to be and the low concrete ceiling above the pools does not help in that regard. In the main pool, there are no lanes - so swimming there is one big mess and everyone is getting into everyone's way all the time.

There is also a small basin for toddlers with a canape for sun-protection. There is also a big lawn with some trees for sun-bathing and chilling, two volleyball-pitches as well as ping pong tables and a small Playground for kids. They also have a snack bar that wasn't open when I was there early in the morning. The pool is handicapped-accessible. The Entrance fee at 4€ is very reasonable for what is offered. Staff was very friendly, changing rooms and showers were cleaned regularly when I was there. The whole Pool is very well maintained. Practical info: There are not many parking-spaces out front for cars and even those for bikes will be full quite early in the day. You need 1€ pieces for the lockers. Downsides? It´s no secret that this is a great pool and on sunny (or just warm) days you can count on the Djk Sportbad being packed. And when I say packed, I mean it. It can get really crowded even early in the morning (then mostly in the swimmers-basin - one of the few 50 Meter Basins in the area).

There are also lounging areas inside and out (for the rare occations it does not rain in Münster). The pool is fully handicapped accessible. The only thing I'm not quite happy with is the lime-green in the shower area. And maybe some palm-trees would make the lounging areas more cozy for some bonus points. But for a small local swimming pool that caters to swimmers, families and children - the pool is now pretty much perfect. Practical info: you'll need a 1€ piece for the lockers. Tuesday is "warm water day" (costs more and the senior citizens flock there in great numbers).

They have one lane set aside for what they call "performance orientated swimmers" (and apparently you can be "performance orientated" AND slow at the same time) but the rest of the big basin is a free for all. A System that overall doesn´t work well in my experience, but when I was there the whole pool was quite empty so there was enough space for everyone. There are also disco-balls and colored lights on the ceiling - so I reckon they are having a pool-parties there now and then. For the Lockers you need a 1€ piece and the showers are separated for men and women. Negatives? Too few hairdryers and those that are there are not height adjustable. So taller (or shorter) people than what they envisioned (1,70m is my guess) will have a hard time blow-drying their hair. Overall a pretty functional, small & clean suburban swimming pool.
