Tried to help a friend by putting money into his account so he could get back to Blackpool from Portsmouth and was informed that only criminals pay cash into other peoples accounts to launder money even though I'd just taken my money from their cash machine. Was interested in moving to a bank that had branches locally which is Halifax. Sadly as my cash has now been designated as criminal money by Halifax Cleveley's I will most definitely not be changing to a branch like this. I do believe that there's a Skipton branch over the road, I'll see if they're interested in my £3000 a month in one of their accounts instead. read more

It seems a bit daft reviewing a bank after all they're all the same aren't they? The one thing I really like about this one though is that they have the machines which enable you to deposit cash quickly and easily. I don't usually like things such as self-service checkouts at supermarkets, which effectively rob someone of a job whilst also making the customer do all the work, however these machines are the exception to that rule. I hate queuing up in a bank and this means I don't have to. Win! :-) read more
