This branch is always doing things with the community, and have engaged well with the business community. The building itself still retains its original features so it can be a little cramped in there at busy times, but they always seem to have enough staff on at lunchtimes etc. so you don't have to wait too long. Only thing that would make it perfect would be customer car parking at the back, which is why I tend to use the branch in Cheriton if I just want to nip in quickly to pay money in.

I've lived France for 15 years and they're all so charming and helpful and good-humoured. They've used to me doing the journey 'backwards' as in outwards Calais to Dover and return Dover to Calais. I live 600km South of the channel so when I'm planning a trip it's discussed with them as to when they need definitive dates because of avoiding Kent school holidays as well as the French ones. The staff are quick and efficient and I can usually find what I came in for. They run some good promotions on a limited time basis and sometimes their marked down items can be a real find, but watch the sell by dates if you are selling on as they will be short. Good selection of wines and spirits and the only place where I can buy the type of sweeties I like Liquorice comforts and a particular type of jelly bean!
