The accommodations were fantastic. The other couple got the best room and view- upstairs with balcony and king bed. We hope to get it next year! We had two queens. The casa had 2 1/2 bathrooms and was two level with great views. We loved the kitchen and prepared drinks and appetizers nightly before we headed to the restaurant. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great. We had maid service daily and it was needed- it was hard to not track in sand. Each bedroom had its own mini-split and we actually had to use the heater at night - it kept our room cozy, even in the high winds. The bar and restaurant were great to have on site - you could actually happily, never leave. Shrimp burger, fish ceviche were some of the highlights. The restaurant also prepared a special birthday paella and dessert for my husband. The owners, Rosa and William were delightful and really all the employees were so sweet and helpful and communication was easy. They helped arrange a boat rental, when their boat wasn't available- we saw whales, dolphins and seals during our excursion and afterwards realized we had seals just out from our casa in the surf. We did not use the pool - we were there to kite board and wind surf and when windy that is what we were doing. When other guide books say this is the nicest place around, they are right!

What a relief it was to be greeted by the friendly staff. Seriously, they couldn't have been nicer. We booked our room, settled into our casita, and made our way to the palapa bar and restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic, and after several days of drinking beer and Setenta, I asked for a vino tinto. Our awesome waitress brought over a nice bottle of Valle de Sol from Vinocola de Tecate and all was right with the world again. Love that nice gal. Our casita was rather large and had cute curtains and mirrors. Those were nice touches! There wasn't a hairdryer in our room, but really, it wasn't a big deal. You're right on the sea, so the old mop is going to get messy anyway. I will say that it is way windy, so come prepared if you're a guy wearing a rug or a lady wearing a skirt. Just saying. Overall, relaxing place to stay and grab a meal.

Sadly, this little town just isn't worth a return visit in my opinion. Go straight to Loreto from San Felipe instead. Don't forget to stop and visit with Coco along the way. Buenos tiempos en Baja!

For me, no trip to Baja would be complete without a stay at Guillermo's in Bahia de Los Angeles!…read more When traveling in northern Baja, it can be challenging to find a hotel where we can safely store our motorcycles and know that we will have clean accommodations and a good meal. The owner, Lucy Galvan, provides that and more. The importance of an open mind and managed expectations cannot be more highly emphasized. Our family and friend's have come to enjoy getting "off the grid" and in to a more simple way of life that Baja provides. We always know that whatever we encounter along the way will be but a memory once Lucy pours one of her delicious icy margarita's. Guillermo's consists of a very simple hotel, delicious restaurant and store. If you're lucky, by special request, Lucy will open her beautifully curated shop. You'll find exquisite Talavera pieces along with many other artisan souvenir's that are not easily found in even larger Mexican towns! On a recent trip, there were 12 of us traveling on motorcycles with a support van. I mentioned to the women in the group that this was a great place to find something special to bring home. In fact, it was a great opportunity since we had a vehicle to safely transport even the most fragile of treasures. Since we usually travel by motorcycle, we don't always have room to bring back some of the lovelier pieces offered. The hotel rooms are very simple but, you can always count on a hot shower at day's end and a comfortable place to lay your head. In good weather, you can sit outside and take in the views of the bay and sip a cool beverage. Sunrise over the Sea of Cortez is a special treat. We always enjoy the restaurant menu which typically includes a fresh fish catch and have never been disappointed. There is a simple store for basic needs and within walking distance of other little mercado's. Be sure to have a reservation before arriving as you never know what to expect. This place is frequented by lots of motorcycle groups and other's.

Quaint, comfortable, clean motel with plenty of parking and working aircon, toilets and showers…read more Very comfortable beds, clean sheets and soft pillows. Loved the seating with tables just outside the front door. Great pool, great customer service. Reasonably priced and close to everything. Good restaurant that also sells bags of ice. Being a fishing village, lots of guys drinking and partying long into the night. Nice that they allow you to cook outside the room on your own patio. Bring a long extension cord. Also bring a fly swatter. PS - No toilet paper goes into the toilet because of the small pipes...put it in the washer basket emptied every day.

His service was beyond description. He picked up ice and drinks for us at the local market for our fishing trips! His service in the dining room was par excellence. The kicker? The food is incredible! His chef from TJ worked in some of the best restaurants in Baja. Everything we ordered was presented as in art culinaire magazine, tasty, well seasoned and hot! The salsa and totopos which were served prior to the meal was also excellent, crisp tortilla chips and a mild salsa verde. The margaritas were excellent, not to sweet, cold and potent! We will definitely stay with the villa vita, Eduardo and chef again! I For a Diamond of a gem the hotel in a rustic fishing village is older but clean and well taken care of.
