Got there early, waited 40 minutes until 11 only to walk up to the door at 11 to see the handwritten change that they open at noon now on Sunday. Lost my business. Why wait until noon? Even with COVID it's not like anyone is in there cleaning through the windows. Some people like to get their errands done in the morning to avoid crazy parking lots in the afternoons.

I arrived at Things Remembered the Friday before Christmas, and noticed right away the level of…read morechaotic gift-giving that was ensuing. The line nearly reached the front door for pick up and placing orders, but the cashiers were efficient and the line moved right along. The regional manager Ann (?) personally helped me place a written order as the computer pads were intimidating and, according to her, malfunctioning randomly at times. I was able to design and personalize two luggage tags, and place the order for two day pick up as they were clearly swamped with orders. Today, the Sunday before Christmas, my order had been misplaced. The transaction had posted but due to the Christmas frenzy that is the Mall, one order out of an apparent thousand went missing. The store manager, Ruby, assisted me in placing the new order and ensured it would be ready that evening for me. Her father was in the store, helping ease customers who were waiting, and even purchased me an iced latte as I waited. He also helped out the Things Remembered crew with lunch and cleaning up the store a bit, and I think that was an amazing display of team work and holiday cheer. Ruby upgraded my personalization due to the mishap and I'm on my way back to pick it up. Thank you Ruby!

Today, for example, it felt like millennials clearing out their childhood collectibles. We also happened to go while a lot of dealers were stocking their booths, so a few aisles were blocked off or difficult to navigate. We will definitely continue to visit this shop, but hope to see more variety in the offerings and more of that antique store feel.

Their capacity is only 5 customers and I totally get it. They have 4 people working, so only 9 people in the store (including the employees), again, I get it... however, a lot of people were waiting in line outside in the heat wearing masks. There were 4 customers in the store and the woman that was keeping track of the capacity was asking people in line "I have room for one more, if there is single person in line, you can come in".... like seriously!!so; everyone else in line doesn't matter, especially the ones in front of the line?? Its like, let's wait for the woman that was trying to buy the store lol (semi annual sale) check out, so the two people in the front of the line can go in. So, then we were in front of the line and just waiting for our turn to go in the store and the lady did it again. So, I had to say something (respectfully) and said "can we just wait until the two people that are checking out right now before letting anyone else in, we are all here for the same thing and some of us have been longer and are very hot?" If I didn't say anything, she would have kept doing what she was doing and would have not been fair for anyone else.
