Hale Pawa'a is convenient medical services building in town. The parking can get pretty crowded and as with most parking garages, there are never enough parking spaces. They have a ticketless system where you sign up via QR code (posted on the garage walls). Then, when leaving, you don't need to see the attendant to pay. This system may confuse those who are not tech savvy. I do wish the coffee shop would open prior to 8AM for those early morning appointments. read more

It's also a few minutes drive to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Kaiser Permanente Honolulu, Straub Clinic & Hospital, and the Queen's Medical Center at Punchbowl. They have Doctors to serve our community for primary care, specialty services, there is also Clinical Labs of Hawaii and Mina Pharmacy. For the sake of patient privacy, I won't mention the doctor who I visited as this is solely based on the medical facilities. There is a parking structure which you can enter from Young Street. Located on Level 1 right after ticketing booth. For EV owners, charging is free. Parking is free for the first hour, $1 for a half hour after that up to $30 for the day. Charging is limited to 2 hours by request (via note on charger) from management. There is a driveway which you can enter from Beretania but exits on Young. read more

Facility use to be good but my last visit was disappointing. They charged me for services that I did not do so I had to call them to have it fixed (waste of time, and I didn't read the bill I would have missed it and had to pay for it. They are also billing insurance for money for services they didn't even do). Receptionist was more concerned with "talking story" with her co-workers. Nurse Prac.(not a doctor) was not friendly at all and was insisting I needed an xray when clearly there was no need for it. They sent me to CADE MEDICAL upstairs to get a shoe. Cade Medical totally messed up my billing. Charged my credit card and did not record the purchase so I got another bill (more wasted time!) Never coming here again. Built in 2009, Hale Pawa'a (HP) is a nine-story building that houses a variety of medical offices. I've been here a handful of times, mostly for my annual physicals and my lone colonoscopy procedure from last year. Although it has been over 10 years since built, this facility is well-kept and very convenient as there are 2 entrances to this building: S Beretania and Young St. You no longer need validation and your first hour is free here. I drive a small car and find the parking stalls here wider than some other places. Upon entry, they have a large directory and I find myself reminding myself my PCP is on the 3rd floor. In my defense, I pretty much come here annually and cannot remember the suite number. There's also Juicy Brew in the lobby area so you can pick up coffee or a quick healthy snack, as they are known for their plant-based options. The only setback I've found is that there's only 1 line to enter and exit the building and sometimes I find myself waiting in a line about 5 cars deep. This can be nerve-wracking if you're pressed for time but fortunately, my appointments have been quick, so I don't have to pay for parking. Overall, HP is a great addition to Oahu's medical scene and a great alternative to many medical offices that are in the Queen's Physicians Office Buildings I, II, and III. 2022 #80 read more

On 8/14/25 @ 945am, my self and my Ohana went to Hale Pawa'a for my father to have a procedure done. While my husband and I waited in the main lobby, I approached the guy sitting at the front counter who was watching the security cameras. I asked him for the nearest restrooms, which needed codes to get in to. The guy was rude and so unpleasant! If he is to be in the front of the community that passes thru this facility, he needs to check his attitude and not be so rude!! I got the men's code for my husband and now needed the women's code, so I went to ask him a second time. I said, sorry I got the code for my husband but I need the code for me. He responded very rudely....For What!? I said the women's code. Again...very rude! I don't know if he was having a bad day, regardless, he shouldn't speak to patients or their families in that manner. Maybe he's in the wrong profession? read more

Have you seen this beautiful building on the corner of Keeaumoku and Beretania!? A great feature is it's super easily accessible from two locations...if you need to a drop off coming from Beretania is suggested as there's a drive way just for that purpose with a bench right out front for convenience and you're still able to drive straight up to parking or if you're avoiding the busy main road in the back on Young St there's also another entrance to the parking garage though there isn't any place to do a drop off. Parking for the first hour is free no validation is needed which is great though this building is filled with many great offices that it can get insanely busy and parking can be a challenge, each additional 30 minutes is $1 with a daily max of $30 so I'd make sure to ask if they validate as it can add up. In the lobby is so nice and clean which do provide a few seating if waiting in certain offices aren't an option though it can get crowded, there's also Juicy cafe at your convenience. They also used to have a pharmacy, but that closed a few years back, which is too bad since it was so convenient. The building is extremely clean and well lit. This beautiful office/medical building is on the corner of Beretania and Keeaumoku St. There's a parking structure here and you can enter from both Beretania St and Young St. There's also a 5 minute patient drop off/pick up on front where there's room for at least 4 cars or 2 cars and a handivan. When entering the building, you don't feel like you're in a medical building. On the ground floor, there's a Long's pharmacy, a receptionist area and a small cafe. My husband had to go in for orthopedic surgery on his shoulder. If you need a surgeon, make sure your doctor recommends Dr. Darryl Kan at MIS on the 6th floor. This medical building is conveniently located at the intersection of Beretania St & Keeaumoku St, directly across from the 76 gas station. I come here for lab tests and to visit my primary care physician. The offices here are large, bright and clean. Hawaii Pacific Health group has some of the best doctors and I enjoy coming to this location mostly because it is walkable. There's a Juicy Brew location in the lobby which is pretty dope given the commitment to health and wellness that the groups in the building provide. There's plenty of parking for cars, bikes and mopeds in the back off Young St. I wish there were bike racks on the Beretania side of the building as that would be a plus. If you're in town and your doctor has an office here, definitely make an appointment for this location. Only drawbacks are that the lobby can get a little loud and crowded from time to time & certain office hours may be sporadic. But overall all one of the best medical buildings in town. read more

Since the building is not completely occupied it's easy to find a space. I still remember passing by this building when it was being constructed. After it was finally completed, I remember how nice and modern it looked outside. It was a needed facelift to the area and I wondered how the inside looked. After some time, I finally got an opportunity to check out the building. It's even nicer inside than the exterior of the building! It's been open for awhile and the inside still looks new and clean. So far I haven't parked in the garage but I do know they validate. The receptionist always ask if we need validation when we leave the doctors office. I heard it's very reasonable for parking. Every time I came here, I was dropped off by the front entrance off Beretania St. so that I could unload the wheelchair and take my mom to see the doctor. The unloading area is very spacious and even though people unload and load there, cars can still drive by on the side to get into the parking garage. On the ground floor, there is a little cafe, waiting area, directory, security desk and pharmacy along with elevators to the offices above. I've only been to my moms doctors office but it's very spacious and welcoming. The restrooms on the floor are very clean. Make sure to get a key because it's for customers, employees and patients only. Overall, it's one of the better medical buildings I've been to. Hopefully other buildings will renovate and look as good as this building. read more

This is just a review while sitting outside during this covid time and being it a doctor office building etc. there was no hand sanitizer refill and the tables outside were dirty and sticky. I enter on the Young Street side which is the quiet and sane sister of Beretania. The parking stalls are fairly large and it's easy to find an open stall. The building itself is beautiful-clean, new, and modern. But the big thing for me is when I go to my appointments in other buildings, it's a nightmare navigating from the entrance of the parking lot to the office door through the sea of cars and human obstacle courses. Some of my appointments I have to allow 10+ minutes for this process. But at Hale Pawa'a it's a breeze! It's a lot quieter here and there's no problem getting to your appointment on time. The building is easy to find and there is a parking lot. First free hour with validation and the parking lot attendant was very friendly. The building is new so it's clean and beautiful. I came here because I needed to pick up a prescription at Mina Pharmacy. If you're driving, you can enter from S. Beretania or Young Streets. The building is nice and very clean. The lobby is very spacious and they have a lot of chairs. There is a security guard that patrols around and if you just so happen to park your car in front of the building, you will be asked to park in the garage. I recommend getting parking validation because I didn't and I ended up paying $3 for 30 minutes. I didn't think the pharmacy was going to give me validation so I never bothered to ask. It's unfortunate the Security Guard on duty wasn't more concerned about his own hygiene standards than our own (fresh out of the shower, cleaned hands, wearing a cloth mask and partner wearing a bandanna - but of course, both are ineffective if there was a real Covid threat). This ninny entered the Clinic we were attending three times - wearing a paper mask, which is just for show as it would also be ineffective, to complain about us to the clinician who was busy with another client. He opened and closed the metal door handles with his bare hands, wandered through various spaces in the clinic, before complaining to the clinician that not maintaining a mask covering in the clinic, would possibly see the entire building shut down and disinfected. He wasn't there when we left the building and as a security guard, who in all likelihood visits a range of different places in the building, Management should be duly concerned about his own lack of hygiene and infecting with his bare hands, all the offices and spaces he swaggers into. Does he wash his hands regularly in between these places? Are the floors, ceilings, floors, stairwells, elevators etc. being sanitized on a daily basis? Have they ever? Yet another example of an unintelligent, knee-jerk reaction in a sea of mass hysteria and most likely an attempt to avoid litigation and 'appear' vigilant. read more

I love how new this building is! Everything is so modern and clean! My favorite! The parking is dumb though. 1 hour with validation is free. But if you have a doctor's appointment, you're going to be spending like 20-30 minutes waiting in the waiting room, then when you actually see the doctor it takes at least 30 minutes or more. Then it takes time to check in and also make your next appointment. I have done an MRI here and also seen a orthopedic specialist. The technology is very up-to-date, which is nice that there's a facility aside from an actual hospital for this. The parking lot is separate from the actual building, so you have to go to the ground floor of the structure, then walk into the next building and take the elevator there. read more

AT ALL COSTS - DO NOT GO TO THE "EMERGENCY" ORTHO GROUP IN THIS BUILDING. They will tell you insurance will cover everything and now i have a bill for almost $500 for items i did NOT need. I had a ligament tear, which i knew it was - they insisted on taking x-rays, which DOES NOT DO ANYTHING FOR LIGAMENTS. I told them that i didn't need that, i needed an MRI and they said i couldn't be treated unless i took it. They now are charging me greater than$150 for that service. The "doctor" - mind you these are not REAL doctors, they are ortho assistants - then made me get a leg brace from the company on the 6th floor and had me do 8 sessions of Physical Therapy. ALL which my insurance supposedly paid for. I now have a bill for more than $250 for the knee brace they told me to get WHICH I DIDN'T USE AT ALL since my Physical therapist told me i didn't need it and it actually would actually hinder my healing. All in all they are a complete money pit and just try to get money from you and send you all over their building for their "sister" companies and get you to spend money there. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN THEY WILL PUSH FOR COSTS ON EVERYTHING. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! read more

This building is really convenient with plenty parking and access/egress on both Beretania and Young which is crucial given Beretania's one way nature. It's a pretty new building and looks pleasant with high ceilings etc... I used to have a parking pass here a couple years ago when I had a nearby project going but I never got to go inside. With so many health care options and a pharmacy inhouse it can be your one stop shop for all your medical needs. read more

While some of the suites are still under construction, this building is beautiful, the parking is great, and the suite I visited for the Manoa Family Medicine group was fantastic. The first hour is free with validation and then I believe is $1 for every 30 minutes after that, which really isn't to bad for Hawaii parking. I'm impressed. read more

Here's a tip for all security officers employed at Hale Pawa'a. Smile and try to sound a bit freakin sincere. And when I say "a bit," I mean A LOT. Just do the damn thing. It won't kill you. Remember, you're talking to human beings & it would be nice if you showed emotion.
