hello god bless I read a message on here that is so wrong u never know what a person is going through even if they volunteer they might need a hand so shame on u for bad review and if it weren't for this place I could t have never raised my four kids twins at that the people r kind helpful and sheer joy to be around u will never find prices this low anywhere ever!!! there's always something for everyone.it all goes back to the community one way or another they have a food pantry, a baby pantry and help with medic-an, gas to get to doc app ,bills,and Christmas gifts and food baskets so if u like treasure hunting this is ur place stop in meet some smiling faces and Jesus is king thank you hale area FISH and volunteers many blessings read more

I was here on Saturday, Nov. 10th at 11:30 a.m. There was a woman who had a volunteer badge on her blouse. She had a plastic garbage bag with a Tupperware cake carrier in it. She also had a cloth bag loaded with items which I could not completely see. However, at the top of this bag was a set of sheets still in original store packaging. She brought both of these items behind the front checkout counter. The man who was operating the checkout told her to "just go ahead and take them." She left the store with both bags without paying for them. Then came back into the store to work. This is the second time I have seen these so-called volunteers take items that were donated to the needy community of Hale. I no longer donate to this place. Some of the workers there are thieves. read more

This store is absolutely ran by spirits filled with the love of Jesus Christ. (In my personal opinion.‍) ANYWAYS, it IS ran by all volunteers allowing the profits made to be able to be put heartlessly back into our community!! Sometimes they can also help pay a bill or two if you come along a rough patch or unexpected tragedy. They donate to the baby pantry & several other great places that don't do it for the love of money but for relief for some of the broken ones that truly need the help. FROM THE KINDNESS OF THEIR SOULS!! NOT to price gouge, selling you junk for 40$ a shirt that rips or breaks the first wash or mishap!! All the while major businesses that SAY theyre there to help but it's only a smoke screen. Reality is they couldn't care LESS that your suffering in silence & had to chose between getting your child a warmer jacket & having $ for your lunch at work for the next week or two!! I'm just trying to make a point here that a joke or some honest conversation might turn their whole day around & remember why they're there spending TIME (which is the most valuable thing in the world) volunteering for YOU.. Can you see the bigger picture yet? We all know how good a little appreciation feels from time to time. ‍A nice comment or even some encouragement can go along way nowadays!! Kill with kindness. You'll be in complete dismay at how much further a little understanding & compassion goes in this world, especially THESE days. Maybe we should ALL have a little more understanding of the bigger picture here instead of being so quick to judge as we ALL know how it feels to be judged. Js..Fish is an all around MIRACLE in this day & age, that isn't seen & recognized enough!! I've bought 3 garbage bags FULL of clothes & other items for around 5-8$ for myself & children. To the ones that said the volunteers are rude, maybe some self reflection is past due? Possibly some self esteem issues or maybe come down a cpl notches on your pride level?? What makes you think they're being rude to you personally & not secretly fighting pain from their back possibly hurting & they have another 3 hours to go & has absolutely NOTHING to do with you? ‍ You ever HAVE to be nice to the public when your in pain , having family issues or maybe they're fighting with themselves about something within??? And To top it all off they're STILL keeping their word (which means nothing to most nowadays) to volunteer cause they said they would help out no matter what they're dealing with personall. They're beautifully misunderstood with the proof of they DONT HAVE TO BE THERE FOR YOUUUUU or to be helping complete strangers when most are retired & could be at home playing with their grandchildren or kids!! Be more GRATEFUL instead of disrespectfully insulting the VOLUNTEERS (meaning ppl that work for FREE out of the kindness of their hearts to help out the less fortunate cause they TRULY CARE) If some self reflection doesn't work then maybe explore the possibility of not going there anymore somewhere that charges triple to quadruple the price & the employees get PAID to smile & be fake in your face?? Seems like a fair trade off right? Rant over I apologize but it needed to be said. If you aren't happy to volunteer, I suggest you don't. Every time I've been in there the past year it's been nothing but rude volunteers.

It's the local resale shop. The business is run by volunteers. The money collected from the sales goes to help local residents in need. It's clean and items are very reasonable. The place is only open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. 10:00am to 4:00pm. They are always looking for donations. read more

THIS. PLACE. ROCKS. I have been visiting this thrift shop for about eight years. When I was pregnant with my first child I left this store with three big bags of maternity clothes that I paid about $5 total for. I wish I had more reasons to go to Hale because this place is amazing. Everything is extremely affordable and their bag sales are just awesome. If you're on a tight budget definitely check this place out. Also, since I enjoy dressing in vintage and retro type clothing, I recommend this place for finding those sort of things as well - at a great price too! read more

This place is great!! Their stuff is sold at great prices. They want to move the items not see how much they can make. We always donate our stuff to them. The people are friendly and the place is clean. Everyone that works there is a volunteer. Thanks for all that you do. read more

Really disappointed with my recent experience here. Brought a car load of items to donate & 2 boxes of my moms keepsakes were accidentally donated as well. They are moving & the boxes got mixed up. I contacted FISH that evening & my mom went to the store the very next morning & could not find ONE single item. They won't let us check unpacked items to see if her boxes are there. Have tried messaging & emailing, everyone is extremely unhelpful. Someone knows where this stuff went or could at least try to have a little compassion with the situation, but none. These items mean a lot to my mom & it's really sad how it's being handled. I've honestly been really shocked with the lack of kindness by anyone involved, especially given it's a non-profit. As sad as it is to lose these special items it feels even worse to see the response from fish volunteers. We dropped the items at noon Tuesday, the store closed at 4 pm. She was back when doors opened at 10 am Wednesday-- every single item from her 2 specific boxes happened to sell in 4 hours Tuesday? Or were they never put out & "purchased" by a volunteer? I've tried reaching out thru every channel I can and am met with resistance & attitude each step. The only last thing I could do is share a review so others know. Based on my experience it's my belief that the volunteers cherry pick items off the top. There's no way both boxes were put out & sold in that time. That's not fair to the community that people are donating to. We'd still love & appreciate any of these sentimental items back if any volunteers have any info and want to do the right thing. read more

I work at a local bank. I also recently became pregnant. With all of these changes, I needed clothes that kept me looking professional and nice without the normal price tags. Donations received from various locals keep that possible for me without spending a lot. They have name and non-name brand clothes. Very few are stained. They usually have deals like dress pants 2 for 1 which are usually .25-.50cents or baby clothes 3 for .25cents. Other than that, it's a normal thrift store with wall to wall various items. Bring cash or checks though as it's the only forms of payment they accept. read more

This is a thrift store unlike I have ever gone to. Prices are so low because this organization is interested in moving the items instead of getting a better price because the goal is to help people in the area who need help. It's a non-profit organization. I volunteer there on Thursdays. So I know the prices. Jeans- .50 cents; blouses, shorts, dresspants, shirts, sweaters- .25 cents; dresses-$2.00. The store is priced at 25 cents and up. Name brands are common. We have clothes, furniture, crafts, glassware, household, toys,bedding, and who knows what else depending what comes in. Because everything is donated....we get donations from all types of people and organizations. Hours are Tuesday thru Saturday 10 to 4. Don't miss this stop if you're up this way.
