Each time my skin continued to struggle, the response seemed to be another adjustment to the treatment plan. What particularly frustrated me was being offered microneedling after I had previously booked that same treatment and been told I could not receive it because I still had inflamed acne. That conflicting guidance left me with very little confidence in the recommendations I was receiving. My before-and-after photos are two months apart. The more inflamed photo was taken while I was following their recommended regimen and receiving treatments. My skin has since looked calmer after stopping the products they directed me to use. I cannot say exactly what caused the difference, but this was my experience. I understand that acne treatment takes time and results vary. However, after nearly two years, I expected clearer explanations, consistent guidance, and a meaningful reassessment of a plan that was not giving me the results I sought. Instead, I reached my breaking point feeling frustrated, financially drained, and disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this med spa for acne treatment. I was told a manager would reach out, but they never did. All the girls at the counter are so sweet so it really sucks that I couldn't remain a client. $165 a month for almost 2 years in addition to treatments and products and I have nothing to show for it.

Perla even gave me a sample of one of the products she used since my skin responded really well to it, which I appreciated. They carry full-size versions of their skincare products, so it's easy to pick something up at the front desk if you like what was used during your treatment. P.S.: try the ANFISA ceramide packed lipgloss (that they just got in) and thank me and Perla later! The location is further north in town with easy parking, which is always a plus. Inside, it's well-decorated with a clean, minimal aesthetic that feels calm and inviting. They always have little treats and candy out for customers, a nice touch. The treatment rooms and beds are very comfy, and everything is perfectly set up when you walk in. It was hard to reach her at first as a new client but once I was able to make contact, we were in constant communication. Even before meeting her, she already sent me some skincare tips regarding facial yoga. Summer truly embodies her name; she is a bright soul who's passionate about her work. I remember my first session when she introduced herself and told me that from now on, I'm going to be like a daughter to her and she kept her word. She spent a lot of time explaining everything she does and the reasons behind her method, tailoring the treatment to suit my skin type and needs. She has a bubbly personality so it's always a fun time when I see her :) As a new client, you will have to make a $50 deposit to secure your appointment and she takes pictures/videos of your skin to use for comparison after each treatment. My first treatment with her was the "The Original" Acne" or Pigmentation Extreme. In truth, I was hesitant on booking the service because of the hefty price tag but she had a free upgrade promotion from the Poor Man Acne Extreme ($300) to the "The Original" Acne" or Pigmentation Extreme ($500) so I decided to go for it. I never had microdermabrasion or microneedling done before so I was nervous about the pain. However, the microdemabrasion didn't hurt at all while the microneedling pain was very tolerable. Note - you do have to pay extra for the needle which I think it was ~$75. Typically when you get a service done, after care is on you to handle. Well Summer goes above and beyond and provided me a post-treatment kit (beauty water, 2.5 pH water, some other samples) with a detailed step-by-step instruction (text & on paper). Yes, you do have to purchase some of the other after care items on your own but they're not expensive. She also provides recommendations and sent me pictures of the products she used that I enjoyed so I can look them up in my spare time. My second treatment was the Two Day Medium/Deep TCA Chemical Peel ($300) which occurred after my honeymoon. I peeled a lot like Summer said I would around my entire face for about 1-1.5 weeks. I noticed a huge difference after this peel. My skin was soft and less textured. All my skincare products applied beautifully on my face like it was a brand new canvas. You receive a complimentary facial if you share progress photos with Summer too! I got another chemical peel ~ a month later but felt like I didn't peel as much and the results weren't as drastic as the first peel. I also got a 25 mins red light LED therapy to help with the redness because my skin was sensitive and often turned red at every treatment. I got my free JLO Experience facial within a week after my 2nd chemical peel which was very nice. The Jessner peel she used helped reduced my inflammation tremendously. That was my last official treatment but Summer provided me her upkeep recommendations. All in all, my time with Summer spanned over 3 months and it was 100% worth it. She did recommend I see a dermatologist to treat my acne issue. If I did that concurrently while seeing Summer, I know my results would have been much more amazing but with my acne aside, I can't recommend Summer enough!
