Garlic Steak Shawarma was hella good. Falafel texture was great and its flavor was amplified by the three sauces they gave (Tzatziki, TMG BBQ [modified BBQ], and AMBA [modified honey mustard], if I remember correctly). The sauces were definitely another highlight of the meal, they have 8 total! I asked for another Garlic sauce and to sample the Cilantro Avocado one. They gave them for free. All the ones we tried were awesome. Before we left we figured we would try their Pistachio Baklava too. Definitely the best I've had so far, with prominent pistachio and rose water flavors but oh so sweet haha. If we lived near, we would for sure be regulars!

Everytime I come to Taheni, I don't just appreciate the food, but the genuine smiles and warmth from each family memeber I receive. Support this business because they are a rare wholesome gem! They are always consisent with their food + service, which is very rare. This is coming from someone who hardly ever dines out as I am incredibly picky with food quality.

I was so fortunate to find this amazing restaurant, about a mile off exit 8 on I84…read more The owners are so friendly, kind, and ready to share thier culture. The two times I've been in, they've brought out samples of thier menu items to try. I've ordered various things on the menu: hummus, lebneh, falafel wraps, falafel platters, baked kibbe platters, the green bean side, etc. All have been amongst the best Lebanese food I've tried. I want to expand and try more things, like the chicken and beef kafta. If you have questions just ask. Certain platters come with different items. Some rice, some salad, etc. Thier pita is fresh and delicious, and comes in different sizes. They have a decent sized dining area for dine-in, and the take-out area is right as you walk in the side door. Here you will also find a grocery area with Lebanese essentials. The selection is sizable, and offers items you won't find in a regular grocery store. I stocked up on spices, and coffee. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. I will return every opportunity I get.

We got the magnificent wings, the silky hummus, the fantastic mixed salad, the hot bread, the delicious dumplings, off the bone lamb chops, and gorgeous chicken kebabs. The Afghani brown rice was a big hit. We made sure we had room for the stupendous baklava served warm with the Afghani coffee and cardamom tea. The inside is warm, inviting and decorated with lovely mementos and souvenirs & great music playing in the background. We already knew what we wanted for our entrées but decided to start with a few appetizers. Based on her recommendation, we tried the Mantoo (steamed chicken dumplings) and Kashk Badenjan (eggplant dish). Both were flavorful and enjoyed by everyone at the table. For our main course, we ordered the Mixed Grill Combination, which included lamb tikka, lamb kebab, jujeh, and chicken tikka. The portion was generous--perfect for sharing and even better for leftovers. It happened to be my aunts birthday and we were offered a traditional Afghan dessert, Firnee. It was a pudding topped with pistachios. It was creamy and sweet. Such a thoughtful gesture. By the way they also offer BYOB, which is a nice bonus. Overall, great food, friendly service, and an enjoyable dining experience.

I already love Egyptian food, and the fact that it was right in my area made the decision even easier. I placed my order online through their website for pickup, and the process couldn't have been easier. My food was ready in about 20 minutes! When I arrived, the place was busy--which is always a good sign--but my order was ready to go. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and had me even more excited to dig in! And let's talk about the price, very reasonable for the quality AND the generous portions you receive. We ordered the lamb chops, half a chicken, shrimp, and beef shawarma, and let me tell you... EVERYTHING was excellent! One of my favorite touches had to be the sliced pickles and all the delicious toppings. They added that extra burst of flavor and kick that took an already delicious meal to another level. Every bite was packed with flavor! If you're in RVC on Long Island, definitely put this spot on your list and support this local business. You will NOT be disappointed! Great food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service? Say less! Until next time, Abu Zayn! I'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, our experience took a very upsetting turn when we found what appeared to be a bug in the food. We contacted the restaurant to explain what we found and hoped they would handle the situation professionally. Instead, the conversation quickly became hostile. After some back and forth the owner ultimately became very aggressive and said "if you want me to deal with this issue personally you can come in person and we can handle it like men" to my older brother which felt threatening. We left the interaction feeling disrespected, intimidated, and completely disgusted with how our concerns were handled. We were unable to reach a resolution or receive a refund despite raising what we believed was a serious food safety issue. Finding a literal insect in a meal is concerning enough, but what made this experience especially disappointing was the way we were treated afterward. From one Muslim person to another- that man had no kindness in his heart. I truly hope the restaurant shuts down or that man ends up on the street bc he's not taking food safety concerns seriously.

What a great addition to the neighborhood! Authentic Lebanese Cuisine in the middle of Hempstead!…read more We started off with their complimentary olives & pickeled radishes; refreshing and a great palate cleanser. Then we were served Pita bread; not the soft & fluffy kind but more of a thin pita pocket type. This pita went so well with the spreads! Here is our menu (shared by 3ppl): ~ Baba Ghannouj ($10): outstanding. The smokey flavors were mouth watering. Recommended! ~ Fattoush Salad ($15): very good; fresh veggies with a fresh herb dressing. Another great palate cleanser ~ Samboussek Jibneh (feta cheese dumpling) ($12/4pcs): loved these! The dumplings are deep fried but weren't greasy at all. This was a treat! ~ Lahme Meshwi (grilled filet mignon cubes w.rice & veg) ($40): I thought this dish was a tad bit overpriced but great nonetheless. The filet mignon was so tender and prepared perfectly. The rice and grilled veggies were good also. ~ Kaftan Kebab (grilled minced lamb kebabs w.rice & veg) ($25): the kebabs were very flavorful but could have used a sauce. I ate some with the Baba Ghannouj and it was wonderful. The assorted grilled Vegs were great. Note that they do not serve tap water; must purchase bottled water. Beit Zaytoon is located in a small strip mall, so there is plenty of parking available! Recommended, and I would definitely return to explore other menu items!

We were served by the owner, Elias, who was warm, personable, and provided impeccable service the entire time. Even though we didn't order dessert, he surprised us with baklava on the house - delicate flaky layers topped with honey and pistachios that were absolutely delicious.
