I was impressed by how clean the store is, and their fresh vegetables are reasonably priced. Also, they seem to have weekly specials which you'll see posted on yellow signs. I'm the kind of person that when you open up my pantry, you will see a rainbow of beans in clear containers. I use all kinds of beans a lot in my cooking so you can imagine my delight in seeing that they had an entire aisle dedicated to beans, lentils, and all kinds of other grains, and very affordable! You will find mostly middle eastern items here. There was an entire section dedicated to tahini, and olives! So many different kinds of olives, it was very impressive. They also have prepared foods, and an area where you can order hot food/sandwiches. I plan to come back and update my review once I try out their hot food. Definitely recommend you come and check it out.

In addition to selling a wide variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean grocery products, there is also an arcade, food hall, salon, and makeup vendor directly in front. So, it almost feels like you are in a self-contained mall rather than just a grocery store. My favorites so far are Kung Fu Tea, Paris Baguette, and of course the arcade. In fact, I have won several stuffed animals from the claw machines, which is of course very addicting. As far as the grocery portion is concerned, I love the variety of beverages and fresh produce. I wouldn't say the prices are better than your average chain store, but the variety of items is better. And to some extent I also think you are paying for the experience, which honestly is fine by me.

(You know what store I'm talking about... starts with an H) Fine, but my personal observation especially based on the visit I made last week is that even though the other market is being hyped up by social media; Lotte is still a better, and more affordable market. Granted, the food court choices at the other location are better, I'd still come to Lotte when I need specific asian ingredients. It seems they're aware that theres more competition and they've not only done renovations to the store but they have a lot more specials now than before. The day we went they even had several people promoting products and giving out samples. I don't recall them ever doing that before and I think that's a great idea to boost sales in items. I look forward to shopping here in the future.
