I came to this salon because it seemed to specialize in blondes, and since I'm from out of town, I…read morewanted to invest in getting my blonde refreshed. I take really good care of my hair, using professional products (Wella, K18, dpHUE, kerastase), satin pillowcases, braiding it at night, washing it once a week, 0 heat, so trusting someone new was a big deal for me.
At my first appointment with Gio, I showed multiple inspo pics and felt confident we were on the same page. Unfortunately, the end result was much brighter than the soft vanilla/honey blonde I requested, making my roots appear harsh. Gio was nice, so I didn't want to make her feel bad or complain in the moment. Then I got the bill for $725 and honestly felt sick. I left trying to convince myself I'd like it more once I got home. When I got home, I noticed multiple blotchy spots along my roots and contacted the salon. They scheduled me with another stylist, Paige, two weeks later because Gio was on vacation.
During those two weeks, my hair began breaking off at a level I have never experienced. Mind you, I've been blonde almost all of my life, getting it bleached was not new to my hair. Every wash brought more breakage despite doing everything I could to rescue it. I was devastated about the condition of my hair and cried for days. I felt so ugly.
The second appointment was even more disappointing. Paige never introduced herself or asked my name, she just pointed me to a chair and began foiling my hair without discussing my concerns. When I introduced myself and explained that I felt uncomfortable with how the appointment had started, I was met with an attitude rather than empathy. I was told "You can just wait for Gio if you want, she's not going to be back for a long time though".
I spent the next 30 minutes crying in the chair while my hair was foiled and processed. No one checked on me or asked if I was okay. The atmosphere felt incredibly cold and unwelcoming, especially after already feeling anxious about the condition of my hair and the amount of money I had spent.
I left this salon with damaged, over-processed hair that may now require cutting several inches off to restore its health. Between the poor result, the lack of compassion, and the disappointing customer service, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had. If you value both your hair and how you're treated as a client, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
