Lexi is the best!! She is amazing!! Friendly, polite, talented Lexi took the time to listen to my needs for my hair. She also took the time to go over what she was going to do with my hair and how to take care of it afterward. I will definitely be going back to Lexi at Hair Garage. read more

Haircuts go by real fast. I hadn't finished looking around the walls at the artifacts on the walls. Haircut was great and I was very pleased with everything. First time customer that will be a second, third, fourth, etc. read more

Can't remember the gentleman's name but he did a great job on my teenager. He took his time to perfect the hair cut and style. We are definitely going back. read more

Our whole family comes here for hair cuts, from my exuberant 6 year old, to my 19 year old (and her custom aqua shade), and both myself and husband. Staff is always professional and personable, shop clean. I'm always happy to recommend Hair Garage. read more

First time in and did not have to wait. Got a great barber style haircut. Went in for my 2nd visit. Only one employee. Said she was only one working and had appointments all day. This ain't a friendly walk in place. Make an appointment I guess. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. VERY UNSANITARY. Recently went to get haircut. The individual ahead of me was getting a haircut and shave. Barber did the haircut and massaged his head face around his nose and mouth. After the barber finished she tapped the seat asking me to come up. She did not sanitize her hands, the seat nor any of the barber tools but went directly to giving me a haircut. Will not go back. I believe the Covid 19 guidelines requires all instruments, chairs, hands to be sanitized between customers. read more

Went and got a cute little bob hair cut! Liked how it came out for the most part, they cut my hair while it was dry which was a little weird but I did like it. read more

I tried giving them extra chances but every time I book, they always want to reschedule. After this last time and even booking a week or so in advance, they cancel and want to reschedule. Sorry but the whole point in having a scheduler is for the customers best time and not for the worker. Will not even give them a look anymore and will take my business elsewhere. read more

Great group of barbers and very well accommodating. I booked an appointment for 2pm Saturday believing I selected Sunday. Needless to say I showed up Sunday having missed an appointment and not knowing what to do. Jeff made some magic happen with the schedule and got me in and gave an expert cut as always They also have some great drink choices in a fridge if you catch yourself feeling thirsty for no charge! read more

I'm so glad my daughter brought me here! The staff is fun and knowledgeable. Chloe was my stylist. She listened to what I wanted and delivered! She gave me great suggestions and advice for dealing with my super dry hair. I will definitely see you again! Thank you so much for a great experience. I absolutely love my color! read more

I had an appointment and told the stylist what I wanted. She had me stand up during the whole process and barely trimmed anything off. NOT what I wanted at all or even described to her. Then I went across the street to a chain salon and got a really nice haircut. Don't bother with these people. read more

Great shop with a cool (but super clean) garage theme. The dustpan is made of a license plate. A restored vintage gas pump greets you at the door. License plates on the walls and local color in the store. I love a barber between two hardware stores! The only thing lacking was a rockabilly soundtrack. I was only in town for a week but this would be my regular cut if I lived here. read more

Jeff is Awesome. The Outside sign has Chrisopher Walken. (Hence pun for walk-ins welcome). I am prior service Air Force, and particular about my short (0 razor) on sides and back with a fade. Life is too short to settle for haircuts done by untrained barbers. I left 2 other barbers that i have been going to for over 15 years to continue doing business at Hair Garage. C you in 2 weeks Jeff! read more

Chloe did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair! Going to a new salon and new person can be scary, but I was not disappointed!

Was driving by and took note of the place. A few days later booked an appointment online, and got a beautiful haircut and blow out. Ladies are amazingly friendly and so welcoming. Would definitely go back and reccomend others!!! read more

Mask wearing no longer required with new ownership. Will no longer be a customer because of this. Have been going happily for years. Disappointed! read more

You can't find a better deal in Tucson for a cut and color. Lisa Dinkins is the stylist and with highlights starting at $45, you couldn't get this kind of deal even at Walmart. She knows color and style...if you have a little extra time stick around and get your eyebrows waxed too. You might be wondering why this salon is decorated in old license plates and car memorabila, but the salon is combined with a barber shop. So bring your significant other and spend the afternoon getting glamed up together. You can conveniently book your appointments online. http://hair-garage.com/services.html read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of my boyfriend. Jeff is an excellent barber. He's just a really fun and friendly person to chat with. The online appointment didn't go through due to technical reasons, but he stayed late anyway. The prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality of cut. I thought my boyfriend's hair looked very dapper after going to Jeff. We highly recommend his services! read more

Truly exceeded my expectations, , their goal as stated on the website. I was able to make appt. Online before they were open...and no wait time when I arrived. My cutter was Lisa, and she listened to what I wanted, and I knew this when she asked me a question...so I knew she was listening. The haircut was awesome....and Lisa was very easy to talk with, as was the other staff members....I moved from NYC and have tried many places...this place was great... Thank you, Hair Garage read more

I have been in Tucson for about a year and haven't found a hairstylist I liked until now. Chloe did an amazing job with my short asymmetrical cut. She took her time and adjusted the style a bit from the example pics I brought with me, so that it would fit my face better. I have received many compliments about my haircut. If you are thinking of going to one of the cheap chain places, don't. Spend a couple of extra bucks and get a stylist who actually knows what she is doing and will take the time to do it right. I liked the ambiance of the salon and the ease of booking my appointment online. read more

Very good cuts and great prices. We have made appts. Online and were seen immediately without waiting. Everyone here has cut someone in our family..... Guys, girls, teens, etc! We have been happy with them all. It is not stuffy or foofroo. It is laid back and comfortable for every member of my family! read more

One of the issues I hate about traveling full time Is finding a barber in a new city. There are cheap haircuts on every corner it seems - super this or great that - all willing to put shears or scissors to your head for a few dollars. I have fallen for the lure of a $7 haircut, and I came out looking like I spent the night in a jail cell with Nick Nolte after a night of drunken debauchery. So when it's time to cut the few hairs left on my fat little head, I really try to scour out the best local shop I can find. Yesterday I had enough of the unruly mop only head and decided to get my ears lowered. After putting the power of Google to the test and asking a few locals I know, one name came up a few times - Hair Garage. Now, this is not a high end, hoity toity salon, where the air is overpowered by the scent of some Dior knockoff or where you'll have your scalp massaged with lilac and coral infused shampoo. There are no shelves choked full of overpriced gels and Beauty by Tova products from QVC. This is an honest to God barber shop whose sole purpose is to give you a good cut and make you look good, or as good as as haircut can - they're not magicians after all. You can make appointments on their website (http://hairgaragesalon.weebly.com), which is nice, or you can just walk in. I opted to just stop in yesterday since I had some free time and after a five-ish minute wait, was sitting in a chair with Jeff Kuhl. We chatted about the blessings of not being where there was snow on the ground and in no time flat, I was a new man - or at least a slightly better looking one, which says a lot for Jeff's skills as a barber. The next time you're in need of a follicle makeover, check them out. I know I'll be back! read more

I hate when I go get my hair cut and there is an awkward silence the whole time! Thankfully, I found this AWESOME barber shop and hit the jackpot! Chloe cut my hair and really did a great job! I will definitely come back to this place, especially since it's cheaper than most places at only $12. read more

I've been coming here with my fiancé since 2011 and have never left feeling disappointed or unwelcome. Lisa and Jeff are an awesome duo and are extremely knowledgeable about their profession. I usually hate stylists that try to pry into your life or constantly ask questions to make small talk but Lisa and Jeff are so friendly, honest, and funny that I end up spilling what's been happening my life since my last visit without them even asking lol. The Hair Garage's décor is really cool with license plates and custom art hanging on the walls and even though the actual room is somewhat small it still manages to feel cozy. Lisa and Jeff are the main stylists and while they've had other cosmetologists come (Chloe) and go (Laura) the quality has stayed the same since I've been there. Their prices are really reasonable too and their website is very easy to understand which is a plus if you want to book an appointment. Do it early though since slots fill up fast! I have never gotten anything crazy done to my hair besides a cut and color with Lisa but I leave happy every time because I know that I'll end up with a haircut I feel confident about. A barber shop isn't always the first thing that you think of when you move away but I know when I eventually leave Tucson this is one place I will really miss. Altogether if you're looking for a permanent barber shop and aren't into those fancy toxic perfume places the Hair Garage is the perfect place for you. :) read more

Decided to get a haircut on my way into town the other day so didn't have an appointment. Just walked into Hair Garage and asked if they had any openings. Laura, my normal stylist, wasn't working, but Jennifer had some free time in her schedule. I was happy because they are pretty busy. Jennifer added a short scalp massage during my shampoo, which was so nice! The haircut was great! Now I'm in a quandary...who will I ask for the next time I get my haircut?? read more

I just relocated to Tucson and one of my first concerns was finding a good barber. Today I saw Patrick and not only is he a good barber but he's excellent! The space is kind of easy to miss but I'm so glad I found it. Service was excellent and welcoming. I made a same day appointment and was even helped a bit earlier. If you're looking for a solid fade, see Patrick. You won't regret it. read more

My hair is cropped with very short sides. If I saw my stylist every three weeks to keep it in check, I'd have an enormously expensive head. So, for the last year I've been visiting barbers for the upkeep. I ended up here because of my last experience (terrible) elsewhere. The most important thing to me is that I come away with a good cut-everything else is just a bonus. That being said: The environment is friendly and relaxed; it made me feel at ease right away. The cut was quick and perfect. Yes. Perfect They're open on Sundays, which is pretty much my only day off. They do a killer beard trim. Everything is very reasonably priced. I never carry cash-they take plastic. read more

Jeff is great! When I moved to the east side a few years ago, I walked in here and have never gone anywhere else. Friendly atmosphere, easy online booking and great prices. I have since moved 45 minutes away to Oro Valley and still drive across town I like it here so much. Give it a try, only place I will go to in Tucson! read more

Came in to get my ends cleaned up, FIVE TO SIX inches of my hair was hacked off when I specified no more than two. This place is a girls ultimate nightmare if you want to somewhat keep your length. I tried to be reasonable and give it a few days to get used to it, however NOBODY should ever feel this way after getting their hair done. If you're looking for a professional ladies hair cut, go elsewhere. I'm now investing out of pocket to get extensions. By far the worst hair cut I've ever had in my life. read more

This place is a hidden jewel, with tons of talent behind the doors. My stylist, Laura, is fantabulous and gave me a cut that was what I wanted and complimented my hair type and facial shape! To be honest, I looked 10x better when I walked out! She is a great stylist, very knowledgeable, and not afraid to tell you if a cut will not compliment you, highly respectable and rare! I find it a blessing that I ran into her!! She is top notch and so is this place! (Better than those high-end, cost-too-much, snobby places) Very unique and friendly/warm atmosphere! This is def. my family's one stop shop! This place rocks and I am def making this my family's one stop shop! Thanks for a fabulous experience and cut! I will be a regular at this place!!! read more

Went in for haircut on Saturday morning. I booked an appointment on their website. I got in there a little early and there was no wait which was awesome. I showed the woman a picture of the hairstyle I wanted. She was fairly knowledgeable about how we should go about getting it cut and styled. It wasn't the shortest or fastest haircut but it looks awesome. I cannot remember their names off the top of my head but the gentleman that was working as well helped her out as well. He came over and helped trim up some spots also used a straight edge for the back of my neck which is my most sought out request because I hate when the hair on the back of my neck grows out of control and hair salons aren't able to shave it gone or almost all the way gone. I was so impressed that had my wife take our son to get his haircut there on Sunday morning. His haircut was about 20 minutes not his first haircut but definitely looks good. Their goal is to try to get kids in and out in 10 minutes so they do a good job of cutting kids hair to a cool style in a short amount of time. They also gave him some pretty cool temporary tattoos that he won't stop asking to put on now. Will definitely come back. read more

Disappointed that the hours on Yelp or their website are not correct. I stopped by today around 11am during their posted business hours, it is not a holiday, and they were closed. Being they advertise that walk-ins are welcome I wouldn't expect to have to call to make sure they are open before I walk in. I was looking forward to trying out their services. read more

It was acute salon. I felt like the boys fades could have been a little better. The hair dresser was super nice through!

The Hair Garage is a very friendly Barber Shop. It is probably best to plan ahead and make an appointment through their website but I was given an appointment about an hour after I walked in and ran some errands and came back. Chloe gave me an excellent hair cut and trimmed my beard well. I plan to return. read more

I tried hair garage for my last haircut and got a pretty good one. I told him all the things I hated about previous cuts and he assured me he would make it look good. It did, so I decided to come back. I reminded him of the previous cut and said I wanted the same thing and what not to do. He did everything I said not to do and my hair looks like crap. To the point it almost just needs to be shaved. I told him my displeasure and he tried to "fix it" and made it worse. I was getting this cut because I have professional photos being taken of my team that will be used for business cards and other marketing materials. I didn't complain to try and get something free and paid even when he said I didn't have to. What's irks me even more is when we were leaving he tells my 9 year old son sorry for making his dad mad. Completely uncalled for. read more
