I checked Yelp and found great reviews for Heather. So I called still somewhat reluctant to even think of letting someone new touch my locks. She got me in quickly and I gotta say I couldn't be happier!! Her salon is warm and welcome. Nice but not pretentious. Pretty much the most personal experience I've ever had getting my hair done. She did a great job and a fantastic cut on my better half while I processed, we keep telling each other how good the other looks! Honestly, we went to Mane Attractions because it was very conveniently located to our home. From day one, Tamra treated us like family, made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Her prices were more than fair and the results were excellent. I often kidded my wife that "Picky" was her middle name because, well, she was. But Miss Picky was Tamra's client until her death in 2013 and I'm still one. Wouldn't think of going to anyone else. I remember a time when we were both ill and had to cancel an appointment; that evening Tamra brought us homemade soup. How many times has your stylist done that for you? I was cut off with a very snotty and short, "We don't do that here!", and was promptly hung up on. Mean while I call a competing salon in town. A) They know exactly what I mean when I say color lift. B) They are more then friendly, and allow me to explain my hair situation C) They give me a price point to start the process. I am not sure how well off the owner of Mane Attraction is, but coming back to Kerrville, and being treated in such a way by someone running a business is a bit shocking. In running a business it is hard to attract new customer in this economy, and this doesn't go very far in making me want to spend money in your establishment. So hopefully, other people's experiences are better, but I will be taking my hard earned dollar some place it is appreciated.

The prior salon was supposed to do a balayage retouch but instead did way too heavy highlights with severe back combing. The back combing knotted my hair severely and when they went to comb it out they brushed it with a metal brush causing breakage and damage. After that I didn't do anything else to my hair for fear of further damage. My hair had never looked so terrible or unhealthy! I decided to give Raeanna a try and met with her for a consultation about 3 weeks ago. She suggested some damaged hair products for at home which I purchased and used. I also went in two weeks ago for a deep condition treatment. Today I went in for my new color and cut. It was AMAZING! Raeanna was so nice and so talented.
