I was in Bakersfield getting fuel and realized that I wouldn't make it to the barbershop before they closed so I called to verify their hours. Stacy, the owner, answered the phone, and I explained to her that I would be a little bit late. Without hesitation, she said "I'll wait for you." when I got there, I was greeted with a smile and throughout the entire cut had an amazing conversation .. The shop is clean and neat and with a little nostalgia. Anytime I'm in Paso Robles I'll stop in even if it's just to say hello.

Great ambiance and pretty decent pricing for haircuts. My personal favorite is Chantelle; who I first met at The Real McCoy when they were on Traffic way in Atascadero. Walking into Nate's Barbershop was like walking into an era long ago. The vintage barber shop chairs, the professionally dressed barber, and the pampering one would expect going for a day to get a hair and beard trim. My boyfriend comes back every time raving about his pampered experience. The beard looks ON POINT every single time. He books up quickly, so I recommend making an appointment a couple weeks in advance. He is worth it!

Walked in and was greeted with a friendly hello. As soon as the client before me paid and left I was brought up to the chair. He asked me what I was wanting and I pretty much gave him a rough idea so I let him kind of do what he thought was good but still in my guidelines. He had loads of information about hair loss which I sort of have and didnt mind talking about his knowledge. Talked about music, brewerys, and many other things. Very person friendly barber. I did the beard and haircut and after the beard trim he did a hot shave and used warm towels on my face and neck which was relaxing. Great time. Will be back. And he does have a restroom and many seats. One last peace is you have to make appointments online and there you will find his open times and you just click on it and verify the time. Shannon recently moved from (the now-closed) Lefty's Barbershop…read more I would go see her there every month without fail. When they closed I asked where she was headed next and followed her here, to her own place! It's super easy to get to, right on Main Street across from the Market. It's in a small room off to the side of the hair salon, it's perfect for one person at a time. There is a seat inside and one outside to wait. No issue really since you should totally just make an appointment with her ahead of time so you won't need to wait when you get there anyway. Shannon does mostly men cuts so far as I know, though I know she does cuts for women too. The reason I go to her is I like someone who knows how to do great fades and understands the difference between a 1 and a 1 1/2. I don't have a ton of hair but I like it well taken care of. Shannon does an epic job. She also offer beard trims and shaves. While I do not get shaved, I do maintain a beard and always book a beard trim after my haircut so I can get it all cleaned up. Shannon has a great hand with a straight razor and I always leave happy and with a great haircut. I would 100% recommend you give her a shot if you're looking for a great barber, shave, and fine detail work.
