Went in for a full color and referenced a color I had in my balayage as the color I wanted. The girl proceeded to add foil highlights on only the top of my head and said she was matching the color at the bottom. I don't know hair and I wish I knew more about techniques to stop or actually have just avoided this place all together. I had a Mohawk of yellow stripes. No full color like I made an appointment for. It's taken many trips to a hair store and another salon in two weeks - alot of time and money - just to make it to where I don't have to wear a hat. I couldnt even do a pony tail because of the contrasting stripes. It was a big mess. I was speechless. With the rest of life going on and already not much time for myself, this was a birthday present to myself and instead for weeks, I had to take time away from my work, and then evening times with my kids to try to fix it. This is a review to the one stylist in particular but there were several other stylists there and for no one to speak up or provide coaching or say anything, it's a shame they let me, a grown woman with my head down and with quiet tears, pay and then walk out of there to sit in my car and cry reliving this experience and impression. I had to go straight to a hair store, first of many visits until I could get to a salon. It speaks volumes to how much they value customers and I really could have been a loyal one. I picked a staffer during booking that they had listed had senior experience and it was not the case at all. When I talked to folks about the salon to others, apparently they had a reputation. So in that, I wish I asked around first and that's my fault. I should have asked around and maybe this weeks long ordeal could have been avoided. I still get choked up talking about everything that happened hence why I needed time to write this. read more

there very unprofessional. the salon is a hot mess and if they mess your hair up they put you off until they scam you into charging you to fix it. and it's still ugly. crappy job for sure. 500 waisted and never refunded after i was promised to be. just ghost you. that's what crooks do.. thats what joe the owner did stay away if you love your hair. if farouk saw the condition of this salon i dont think he would feel good about his name being on those awards. or the mess of the salon, or how there all dressed. only one girl looked perfessional and she rented her space. so wish she would of done my hair. instead of the crap i had done to me. but heb saved my day read more

First of all, I want to say that Joe is, indeed, a stylist to the stars. He is a talented guy and I respect him for his craft. He also has talented stylists working for him. But, here is the reason for my review: Joe is a paid spokesperson and promoter for Chi products. They pride themselves on being the first environmentally-friendly line of hair products with ammonia-free hair color. If you are blonde and looking for hair color that will leave you in the gold-tone range, then you will probably be happy. But, if you are looking for true ash tones or platinum blondes, you cannot get those colors here, no matter what color they put on your hair. It is scientifically and chemically impossible to get platinum with this line of hair color...impossible. I have spoken to countless customers who have believed their "we CAN do it" sales pitch when it came to ash tones or platinum color, all with the same disappointing results...gold hair. If you like gold or brassy tones, then you will love this hair color. If you are looking for platinum, you need to find someone who will put bleach on your hair. Joe's wife has gorgeous hair. It is deep brown-black and has cranberry streaks in it. I wondered how she got those gorgeous streaks to take when her hair was so dark. When I spoke with her, she told me that she HAD to bleach the streaks in her hair and take all the color out before applying the cranberry-toned hair color to the streaks in order to get it to take. I heard it straight from her. And the results were beautiful...stunning even! But, she HAD to resort to bleach to get what even she wanted. So, I know what I'm talking about here. It is not my purpose to slam or put down this salon. They are artists, for sure. But, the PRODUCTS they use fail miserably. I plopped down a decent amount of money on my highlights and lowlights. It was fairly easy to match my virgin hair, which is dark ash blonde; that's the color I always use for my lowlights. In fact, I was supposed to be using my own dark blonde hair as the lowlights, but was told they needed sprucing up. I picked out my ash color from their color chart. But, guess what. The "ash" tone lowlights put on my hair to "match" my natural color turned it GOLD. Now I have gold highlights and gold lowlights. I learned my lesson the hard way. So "heads up" when you opt for the Chi hair color and make sure you like gold hair. It's the only option you have at this salon. read more

I have been to this salon several times before with NO issues! In fact I LOVED the outcome. This time however, I did not! I did ask for an appointment with whom ever was available because the three stylists I had before all left. Separate times of course, why I had three different ones. I went in and told the girl I wanted high lights and lowlights and that they had my colors written down. She said since it had been two years since I had my hair done they would no longer have them. Ok. Well I show her a picture of what I had before and got there done and she said ok no problem. Also told her I wanted a cut with short and long layers so I could get more body (very thin hair). She mixes stuff up, puts it all in, we're talking and I don't even realize she never used low lights. Well she washes and blow drys and I almost cry! It's basically orange! Now keep in mind I'm naturally dirty blonde, sooooo, why! She says don't worry I'll use a toner and fix it. Well Joe sees it and says no you need more high lights. Ok, so she does and then I'm Barbie doll blonde! My face looks sooo orange and weird because of it! I'm about to be in tears again, on top of that she said oh, your natural color is your low light. Ummm no! Because of how light she made me, I was tiger striped with what looked brown and platinum blonde! Then she cuts and does not do as I asked at all! Like she didn't even listen! Well joe looks again and asks well, what did she want? She says, she just wanted all over color! NO MAAM, not what I said at all! He says please come in tomorrow morning and I will fix it. I had been there 5 hours already. So I say ok, she only charges me for all over color. I only pay because I think he will fix it. I come in 9 am next day, he isn't even there! And she says, no I'll fix it! Omg ok, so she puts low lights in and does a toner, but she doesn't go all the way to root like I asked. Says oh no you don't want to do that. Umm yes I do! So I end up being tiger striped anyway with some spots of cheetah in there, when I put it up it looks soooo crazy, I don't even want to look in the mirror! I'm sooo upset, I'll never return. You need to listen to your clients, we know what we want! read more
