It looked okay when styled in the salon, but once I got home it was obvious how uneven, awkward, choppy, and over-thinned one side had become. My hair no longer falls naturally or smoothly, and the ends now look frayed and damaged rather than cleanly cut. I have honestly never been this dissatisfied with a haircut before. I ended up having to go to another stylist to try to fix it, and even they told me there's only so much that can be corrected right now without taking off even more length. I was advised not to cut my hair again for several months so it can grow back enough density to reshape properly. I also think clients should be clearly warned before razor cutting or aggressive texturizing techniques are used, especially on very fine hair, since many people may not realize how dramatically it can change the texture and density of the cut. If you have very fine hair, I would strongly recommend being extremely cautious about razor cutting or aggressive texturizing techniques.

I was so busy rebooting my life that I let my thick wavy hair grow out and "do its own thing"with disastrous results, for all of six months! What was I waiting for, but where to begin? I called one popular shop on East Main, but, despite promises, no one returned my calls . Luckily, I spotted Essentials Salon in the shopping center off of McKnight, then read a very favorable review of the owner's work the next day on Yelp. I called Linda, warning that she would have a challenge ahead of her, and reported to her modern, self-designed shop two days later. (Easy parking near eateries and shops was a welcome bonus.) Although she tried to hide it, Linda must have been as shocked at my appearance as I was, because she dropped her lunch, reached for her camera, and asked my permission to take an anonymous "rear view" photo. Quickly, she got to work--snipping, coloring, and styling, while keeping me hydrated with sliced strawberries floating in refreshingly cold water. Linda has a natural way with color (she got it right on the first try), but her very special talent is sculpting adorable, easy - to -maintain cuts that even Edward Scisserhands would envy! She gives her clients her complete attention, producing exquisitely chic results. When all was said and done, she spun me around to reveal a multi-dimensional view and whipped out her camera once again. This time, with my permission, she photographed the result of her efforts. We agreed that the most appropriate title for the second photo had to be "An Amazing Transformation!" Linda did a fabulous job of restoring my self-confidence, as she deftly transformed my appearance. I will definitely return again to place my new carefree coif back into her very capable hands!
