I came in at noon after a disastrous haircut. The lovely redhead (sorry, I forgot your name!) called Tanya, who was scheduled to come in at 3, but would make room for me at 2. The salon is lovely, lots of friendly chatter but still maintaining a quiet & serene atmosphere. Tanya did a fantastic job on my hair. My curly hair was getting super frizzy from the harsh winter weather so I decided to go see Sraddha at Ember Salon for some much needed pampering. Ember is an elegant, clean salon with a welcoming and relaxing vibe, complete with complementary tea or coffee. I had never before been to a salon where the stylists have their own private rooms. It's always been one main room where there can be a lot of noise, (with hair dryers running and people talking loudly over it) which can be the opposite of relaxing. It was delightful to get my hair done in a private room and simply be able to converse with Sraddha in a chill setting. She gave my hair a deep conditioning, along with a gentle head massage, and my hair feels so much softer and less frizzy. I'll definitely do that again! read more

Five stars is not enough! Sydney has been my hair color guru/stylist for more than a decade now. What I love most is that she ALWAYS takes the time at the beginning of the appointment to really understand what's going on with your hair. She is not one to just do the same treatment you did at the last appointment - she talks to you, analyzes your hair, and makes informed suggestions about what would be best for you at that time in your life. I constantly receive compliments on my hair color and cut - especially as it's growing out. On top of all that, Sydney is a wonderful, interesting human being. Sydney is such an incredible human and stylist! She really takes the time to understand you and your hair goals, and is so incredibly knowledgable about color and cut! Her warm and inviting presence put me right at ease, I have never felt so genuinely and attentively listened to or cared for by a stylist ever (and I have been to SO MANY! ). She'll always find a style that works for you physically and emotionally because she really looks at you and makes sure you look your best. About three years ago I got bored of my hair color. I wasn't sure what to do but Sydney suggested silver. I didn't want to spend time growing out my color so Sydney did it all in one day! Kylee is great. She took me on last minute after a lash disaster in Roseville. I look normal again but just "blessed" with great lashes - although they aren't natural nobody would be able to tell they're fake- instead of looking like a stripper with FAKE lashes like what the Roseville girl did to me- YIKES! The worst part was the Roseville girl had stuck them all together- they would have not been able to naturally grow out and definitely would've ruined my lashes had I not removed them!! Kylee is detail oriented and professional- she KNOWS what not to do with lash extensions and knows WHAT to do to apply them the right way- individual lash to individual lash. She takes pride in her work and cares that you're happy , isn't defensive like many people in the beauty industry- cares about her clients comfort and satisfaction. Looking forward to the fill and will definitely see her for my next haircut and color because I know based upon my lashes, she doesn't cut corners and prides herself in doing good work.
