I had a great Hair Lab experience. I am new to the area (Mt P) and have been making the rounds with…read morethe local spots for a mens haircut. I was looking to get more of a salon-style cut vs a barber-style. After a bit of poking around on yelp and instagram, I found Hair Lab. Once the appointment was set I had a great experience. Abbie was expert in the ways of mens scissor cuts. I was really really happy with the cut, and more importantly... so was my life :) The salon itself is well taken care of and packed with products. Everything was new and clean. The vibe was relaxed, with a tinge of fun via good music and seasonal decor. I am legitimately relieved that I have found a spot to get a haircut. Obviously I can't speak to the stylists outside Abbie, but I can say that I will be back and I would happily recommend Hair Lab to a friend. A heads up: The booking process via the site is a bit on the heavy side. You will need to fork over a bunch of info and billing details to get an appointment. I wish they used a more all-in-one/streamlined service like Booksy. I will end it where I started. I had a great experience at Hair Lab and will be back

I've been seeing Ginger off and on for over 14+ years now. She is HANDS DOWN the best colorist I've…read moreever had in my life! Sound extreme? Well, that's how seriously I take my hair color. I was introduced to Ginger by my mother, and I knew it was a match made in heaven after I walked out that salon door the first time Ginger did my hair! Fast forward to a few years later, I relocated back to New York City. For the first year or so, I traveled back and forth from SC to NYC to have Ginger color my hair (I told you I take my hair color seriously!), but after a while, I knew it wasn't economical to keep up with such an expensive habit. I started to try some of the top colorists here in NYC (and also paid top dollar $400+ NOT including the blowout because that's always additional ). Eventually, I found someone that was "OKAY" and stayed with them for the last few years but was never excited with the outcome of my hair. After my last hair appt here, I looked at my hair and just felt SO underwhelmed, and for $375, I want to feel HAPPY and that I got my money's worth! I finally said screw it, I'm going back to Ginger. I flew into Charleston on Friday with super dull and ashy blonde hair, and I got back on that plane with the most beautiful golden blonde highlights that I haven't had in so long!! I walked on that plane feeling like F*CKING Heidi Klum!!!! I FEEL AND LOOK F*CKING FANTASTIC, all thanks to my miracle worker, Ginger. Even after having good color jobs from the top salons in NYC, (Rita Hazan, Frederic Fekkai, Sally Hershberger), Ginger at Nola's tops them all! Ginger, thank you for making me feel and look beautiful again. I'll never leave your side again.
