Fred is a great stylist and always produces a great cut at a reasonable price. He also does good color. In over a year.i've never been disappointed and i highly recommend him to my friends and family. He's also fun to talk to with a pleasant vibe in the salon. read more

Although I was pleased with the color and cut, I will not return because I value customer service and when someone does not have the courtesy to thank you for a tip, it's a dealer breaker. read more

After 3 other local salons just didn't bother to return my call to schedule an appointment, while walking in Downtown Mt Dora, spotted this place and just decided to wander in.I was greeted warmly by all the stylists and got a next day appointment with Jill. The salon is inviting, spotless and simply appointed. Got a trim and color. Since I had some wait time for the color to process,I was able to see the other stylists works and I have to say,I don't think you could go wrong with any of the stylists there. All present were obviously experienced and talented as well as attentive. So very happy to have stumbled upon this gem!!! read more

Great overall experience. Recently moved to Mount Dora area. Called the salon and the had a cancellation with Jill so I was able to be seen the same day. She was extremely nice, we chatted about where we grew up and lived over the years. She is a perfectionist and made sure to check every hair on my head to make sure it was even. She also did exactly what I wanted and was very easy to work with. The salon is very quaint, on the small side, gives you a family feel. They take credit card but do have a sign that they prefer cash if possible. I'll be telling friends and clients! read more

I hadn't cut my hair for almost two years since before Covid. It was almost to my waist and really starting to drive me crazy. I was having lunch in downtown Mt Dora and walked into Hair Affair and asked if anyone would cut off this mess of long, curly hair. Jill Gagne stepped up and did an amazing job. She cut at least 8-10 inches off and did a great job of shaping my curly hair around my face. I highly recommend her for any cut but she knows how to handle curly hair which can be tricky. Thank you Jill. read more

I went to see Carmen today and am in LOVE with my fresh haircut! She is an amazing stylist with exceptional experience! She gave my drab/weighed down hair new life with layers and texture!! If you are looking for your new favorite stylist/saloon look no further! read more

Worst hair experience I walked out with purple brown hair when I wanted it to match my ash blonde natural hair. She said she would fix it but she said we saw 2 different things. And that we were seeing two different things. She gave me my money back but now I am stuck with the worst hair color. I showed her what my hair was before and she said I filter on it and it was in the sun? read more

Was able to get an appointment on short notice. Carmen was my hair stylist and she did a fantastic job cutting my longish hair to medium/short length. My husband loves my new look! Wash, cut, and blow dry for $50. Took 30 minutes. Carmen was friendly and professional with 25+ years experience. Highly recommend. read more

My previous hairdresser, whom I had just seen once since moving here, needed to cancel, just as I was starting a new job. When I moved to Mount Dora, I researched a few salons, Hair Affair was already on my list. So with the cancelled appointment and not a lot of time remaining, I called and was able to squeeze into the schedule with Jill that very same day. I was very happy with the haircut (more so than cut from previous hairdresser). Needless to say I'll be back again, plus they are next door to a cute coffee shop (The Edge) and fun, downtown Mount Dora Vibe. read more

HIDDEN GEM !!! Have lived in Mt. Dora for 3 years and - finally - I've found my favorite salon -- Hair Affair on West Third Ave, downtown Mt. Dora. Carmen listened to what I was looking for in color, style and cut and carried out my request 100%, along with a great suggestion about keeping a few existing highlights. She did a super job, and I couldn't be happier. I've already made my next appointment :) read more

Just moved here from Austin, TX and decided to take a chance on this place. Not everyone does well with my curly, thick hair. Bert did a fantastic job! I highly recommend. Oh - and the pic is my dog; not me. He, too, could probably use some of Bert's magic. read more

I had the best experience I have ever had at a hair salon. The stylist was very professional. The place was really clean for a small salon. I had a cut and highlights done and it turned out perfect, exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend this place to any of my friends or family. They were also pretty reasonably priced. read more
