Go and see Michelle, if you are looking for a talented hairstylist who not only performs a master…read moreskill, but also treats you as the VIP to care enough about your individual hair type and meet beyond your expectation. I got my hair cut by Michelle today, and it went GREAT! Michelle was very patient while communicating with me about my new look, and offered some good advice. She paid great attention to the details, made sure that my hair style looked perfect from each angle. I am more than happy to finally find Michelle to take care of my hair from now on. Why did I choose Michelle? As an Asian, I constantly experienced disappointing results with the high-rating hair salons, and most of my previous hairstylists seemed to ignore the fact that I have a very different hair type. Since I am new to Westerville, I followed Yelp rating and checked out a few local hair salons, including "Bon Cher". Not like other hands-full hairstylists in other salons I visited, Michelle welcomed me immediately upon my arrival, made efforts to squeeze the time from her busy schedule to listened to me. After I raised my concern, she looked at me closely and carefully, summarized the features and problems of my hair. I had to say, she really knew my hair! "Don't worry, I can handle your hair", she smiled with confidence. I knew instantly and instinctually that she could deliver what she promised. And I made the right choice!

I've really debated on leaving a review because I never ever do things like this. But I am just so…read moreunhappy with how my hair turned out and really just the whole situation. I was originally scheduled with Kat, but because she was sick she wasn't in on the day I was scheduled, and that's okay I'm usually flexible. So someone called me the day before asking if I wanted to 'reschedule with Kat or if I wanted to still do it today there's another stylist who is very experienced, is on the same level as Kat, and will do a really good job' so I said sure I can switch. I go in to my session yesterday and show her the same pictures I had sent Kat. The girl said in order to get the color i want we would need to lighten my hair and then tone it. So I said okay. About a quarter way through her lightening my hair I asked if it was a dye. She said it was bleach. I didn't know lightening hair was bleaching, but it makes sense and that's my fault for not clarifying. I figured she knew what she was doing so I continued on with it and didn't say anything. After like 4 hours we washed the bleach out and she put a toner in and my hair ended up being an orange/yellow. I was going for the complete opposite of that, like an ash brown kind of color. I couldn't even say anything about how much I didn't like it because I was there all day and just wanted to leave and didn't feel good about my hair. I go home. I look her up on Instagram and I find out she's an apprentice. I understand people need to practice and learn but I really wish whoever scheduled me would've been honest about the level she is on. The next morning I call back because I just can't walk around looking how I looked, especially since I am going to a wedding. I get it retoned by the same girl and yes it's better, but it still is not even close to what I was going for. Instead it's a little bit more closer to my original hair color just slightly darker. I feel like my hair is ruined from the bleach. It's so brittle. And I honestly feel like I could've done the exact same thing with a box dye from Walgreens and spent $15 rather than $245. I wish my hairstylist would have told me it would take multiple sessions to get to my color goal or just say she didn't know how to. Not giving 1 star because she at least was willing to try and fix it. And it's my own fault for not knowing she was going to bleach my hair. She was really sweet and I just feel bad that I didn't like it. I really wanted to.
